He repeatedly charged me for communications in which he promised to do something but failed to follow through. He also billed me multiple times asking for documents that I had already emailed him, apparently without checking his inbox first. After nearly three weeks of ignored calls and unanswered questions, I asked whether we could cancel the representation. Instead of addressing my concerns, he became rude and confrontational, repeatedly telling me, "You signed a non-refundable retainer." In my opinion, once I signed the retainer, he stopped caring about my case. Communication became extremely poor, and the mistakes in my case resulted in weeks of unnecessary delays. Whenever I questioned the lack of progress, I was told, "I'm a solo practitioner." Do yourself a favor and choose a different attorney. He will likely respond by saying, "As an attorney, I am constrained by the Rules Regulating The Florida Bar from responding in detail, but I believe this review does not present a fair or accurate picture of what occurred." However, my personal experience was very different. When speaking with me privately, he was dismissive and repeatedly responded with, "You signed a non-refundable retainer." A non-refundable retainer should not excuse poor communication or a lack of diligence. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this attorney.

They sat with me and explained that they bill on an as needed basis, as opposed to my prior attorney who called every day for fees, and was quick to withdraw if I didn't pay. I worked with David, Russ, and Chaniere as paralegals, and attorney Robbin Petras was the lead on my case. Attorney Petras went up against a high priced attorney from Boca, and did a hell of a job for me. My case was settled, and I couldn't have been happier with my experience with them. I have referred two other friends that are divorcing. And I recommend them highly. I guess It's like anything in life "your mileage may vary" whether you're talking about an attorney or a restaurant. The fact is .. in a divorce..one party usually comes out a bit better than the other, and if you're on the short end, you're more likely to be here writing a bad review.
