I'm so glad these guys are still here. Local dive shop who has been certifying divers around here…read morefor a long time. I come here for air fills and servicing my equipment. Rob is a stand up guy. Excellent local dive shop. I'm so glad it's here in Richmond Hill. They do a significant amount of dive training of all locals and many people from Ft. Stewart. Rob and staff did a great job training my college age daughters for advanced diving certification. It's a great place to get tanks filled and gear serviced, see Scuba Pro stuff and talk diving. This is a great place for experienced divers to stock up or to get beginner certified. Right off I95 and exit 90 in Richmond hill, exit and turn two quick rights and it's less than a 1/2 mile off the exit. Closest dive shop to I95 between North Carolina and South Florida (can find one shop of I295 in Jacksonville). Down to earth , very good people who have been here in Richmond Hill for years and now he also owns and runs the best dive shop in Savannah (which he managed years ago). If you are I. Richmond Hill and you like to dive. Stop in.

They do a "date night" every other month on the third Thursday, and then a "social" on the alternating month. They are free; just need to sign up on their website. They also plan and book scuba trips if you are already certified and are looking for a group to join! My husband, daughter, and I just finished the PADI open water scuba certification and we had a blast! We cannot wait to try our new skills out! Would highly recommend this place to anyone!

IDI is a great place to learn commercial diving. Not only do you learn how to become safe,…read moreprofessional and efficient at dive operations. You also learn how to be respectful and take on responsibility like an adult. As a veteran I watched carefully as the instructors honed in on teaching leadership to the young men straight out of high school. I also enjoyed the experience they give to veterans. Most of the veteran students are coming straight from the military and idi instructors mostly being veterans help make the transition from military to the civilian workforce easier. So in my honest opinion the staff is great and the experience will land you a dive job so as long as you put the effort into it.

I am actually very thankful the staff at IDI was completely and totally unprofessional. My wife…read moresigned me up for an open water diving certification 3 weeks before Christmas. We never received any information via snail or email despite repeated phone calls and emails. She told me about it Christmas day and called every week afterward to try to get information on the class. We finally decided that we were going to get a refund. The day she called, she was told that the class started the following evening. Wow! thanks for letting us know. Furthermore, the lady who handled the refund passed the buck onto her fellow employees and offered no explanations or apologies and has to be the rudest person in a customer service setting...ever. She made the associates at Wal-Mart seem like the concierge at a 5 star resort. So why am I glad they were rude? My initial plan was to get my open water diver certification to see if I liked diving. I am a tradesman and underwater welding was going to be my next adventure in commercial construction. I choose to take the open water certificate at IDI in order to get a feel for the school. I am glad I did. I never even made it through the door and have decided that they will not be getting my $20,000+ in tuition and fees and it didn't even cost me a dime. I guess my money isn't as good for them as it is for me. Thanks rude customer service lady! Anybody know of a good underwater welding school?
