On vacation with my boyfriend here in Florida. We surprised his parents for Christmas and I then surprised his mom with a trip to the nail salon. Holiday special of a mani and pedi for $28 sounded like such a good deal! Came in and we were immediately seen. My guy didn't seem to want to talk, which I was ok with, but then he seemed irritated with me throughout the entire experience. As we continued onto the manicure portion, he tore my nails up! Each one of my cuticles was bleeding and he tried to cover it up by quickly wiping the blood away. The next morning is when I noticed how bad with little red sores on every nail. Today I came in with an hour for lunch and I needed to get my nails done because I will be out of town, so I called this place and set an appt to do my nails. The guy who answered the phone was friendly and spoke clear and was well understood. As soon as I came in, I reminded them again that I was in a rush because I only had an hour. Since I have a few minutes while my feet are being scrubbed I'll write my review. Cindy is my regular go to and she is in the back corner as not to have this gentle surgery interrupted. The prices are very good and range from $20-42 for deluxe. They usually have sports on so I'm good! Everyone is friendly but they are not talkative between the staff. I was excited to try this new place and ready to find a good nail salon, but my experience here was very eh. Firstly, they said they could give me a toe nail polish that matched the dip color i picked for my fingernails; but the color they brought was very very different and ugly. They tried a few more colors, but I ultimately ended up with a color that I really did not like. Additionally, the dip they did for me only lasted about 9 days. All of the nails fully chipped off. I have been coming here for over 5 years, mostly very happy. David was great, but lately their service has gone downhill. 6 weeks ago I got a pedi and soak off of my acrylics with a new acrylic overlay, I don't use the tips. That night one of my toes was all rough and polish missing. I went back in the morning to get that toe fixed. The next morning I was leaving on vacation at 6 am, the other big toe was rough and missing polish. Later that day I noticed a few fingers where the acrylic wasn't filed off completely. When I went back 2 weeks later I told David I hadn't been happy with the last few acrylic nails. He told me that maybe he's tired, or not enough staff. Maybe it was my fault...REALLY? I started to walk out but he told me it would be perfect, and that time it was. I went yesterday for fills, I got there 9:50 and there were already 2 people in pedi chairs. I thought I'd wait 10 or 15 minutes, but 65 minutes later David finally began my fill. I pointed out a few concerns and he fixed them. His wife painted them and apologized for the long wait. Later that day when my nails were dry I realized 6 of my nails weren't filed down completely and some felt like the edges were rough, almost like they would be breaking off. When I went back this morning to ask to redo the nails, I told her I could come back whenever it was more convenient. She proceeded to tell me my nails were a mess and lifting, I needed a new set. Firstly, they were only 6 weeks, and second, why didn't anybody say anything? She told me to call her to make an appointment, I asked why I couldn't make an appointment while I was there? Tried this place a couple months ago for nexgen. Honestly never had an experience at a nail salon like this ever before. The nail lady i had was pretty rude, literally pulling my hands so hard i said to myself in my head is she serious? But the nails came out OK so i went back recently to try again. I needed TWO nails redone with plain white nexgen. I really thought this simple task would take 10/15 mins but my bf and i were there for 30+ mins. I've been going to this place for two years and before this I had no complaints at all. Last time I got my nails done in December 2018 something felt super fast about it. You are usually in there for about 1 1/2 this time I was out in 45 minutes. Uneasy but i disregarded it. Now being at the end January I have developed a fungus in my nails being confirmed by a doctor that it is from un sterilized tools being used on my nails. I can't believe this at all happening I mean we are in 2019 this should not be happening with all the standards that nail salons are required to have. I went to Divine Nails on yesterday. The atmosphere was nice, and the workers were very professional. Since I've moved to the Miami area, I have tried three shops and by far this has been a far better experience. Although they were shocked at how long my nails were and the fact that I wanted chrome.... they didn't allow it to stop them. My nail tech (I believe his name was Don or Ron) kept saying " I'm going to ensure you are satisfied before you leave". Over the years, this place has become my second home. I'm here at least every 3-4 weeks because my nails last that long. I normally go to Kathy because I have an issue with ingrown nails and she works wonders. She's very patient and takes her time so that I don't feel any pain. I used to do the stiletto nails but have since switched styles (gel mani, coffin shaped) and am super pleased with the results. My natural nails are stronger than ever! Also, Van is amazing with threading! For the services I receive I usually pay around $50-$65 depending on if I get my eyebrows threaded. I refuse to go to any other nail salon because of the great service I get here. Definitely somewhere I recommend. 10/10 read more

-Man at TABLE 6 I stumbled upon Divine Nails after having lunch next door. I walked in and was welcomed by owners. It looked clean with friendly staff in fact, I noticed there was a technician from the salon that I go to now, working on another customer. I decided that since they are new (about a couple years) and I was crunch on time and it was convenient for me (location)I would give them a try. I asked for a Pedicure and Gel Fills. Tammy took me in immediately and was so very personable and did an Awesome job with my toes!!! However, she did not do my fills and I was given to a man who sits at Table 6. First of all I always give techs the benefit of the doubt that they are there to do nails and no talking and they focus on their great quality work. Well, he was quiet alright but not focused on quality. He did not know what files to use to take off the top layer of gel. Also, at end he over coated, didn't allow the gel to dry so when he touch it, 3 nails were ruined and he had to redo them again. In addition, he added another coat on the other nails that truly didn't need it. He basically took too much time to fix his mistakes (He said that it was the color of polish!). Finally done, it looked ok. I thought it looked a little thinner (the fill) than usual but with the little time I had left since he had to redo, I had to deal with it. I usually leave a great tip but only left $5 for him. Well, the next day, cracks began to appear on each nail. My thumb nail had the worst crack. Gel Nails works well for me and is the toughest protection that I always use but shockingly, this time this did not work. As most of you would, I called Divine Nails and asked to speak with Tammy who did my pedi. I explained. She was very apologetic over the phone and asked me to go back. Unfortunately, because I work in Miami and get off late, wasn't able to go until 2 days after. So,I called them again and thus time spoke with someone named Cindy and she was helpful as well and told me to come in. I went in on my day off and the questioned me upon arrival and was sent to Table 6. The same man tried to fix his work. He was not happy! The feed back I had from him as he is holding my had with anger: "Your nails too soft" "The color not good" "You use your hands too rough" "Pick another color" After I listened to him gripe while he tried to file down my nails,, I explained that Im sorry, but I truly am embarrassed coming back to have you do this but I am a dissatisfied customer and it had to be redone. I told him " I don't think my nails are too soft and the color is not good." I kept asking him maybe its the brand name and he said "no the color, not brand". Lol! He told me I use my hands too rough?!?!? Well I do, and when I get my gels filled I normally don't have cracks after only 1 day. To me, man at table 6 did not want to deal with me. So therefore, with frustration, I removed my hand away from his and before I left, I looked at the staff and said that they did not rectify!!! they didnt kbiw how to handle the situation. (Tammy wasnt there). I left but before I did, I looked at the other tech whom I know from the other salon I usually go to and said to "take care and good luck." Now, most people would demand for their money back. But I prefer to not go back and stay with the salon I usually go to no matter of location or circumstances.--- I thought I try somewhere new for sometimes new is always good to learn of. And new is also good to remind you to stay faithful by lesson learned. Tammy is great and Man at Table 6, you need to just concentrate on pleasing your customer and LISTEN to their needs when there is an opportunity! Tip: fix the problem immediately. Do not wait. The customer service here is terrible! They were short staffed when I went in there on 3/3/2015. As a result, I had to switch seats 5 times when I went in. A couple times one of the women doing my nails had to stop working on my nails to go do someone else's eyebrows while I waited. I watched how several people walked in and walked out because the wait time was too long. The incident that did it for me was when I had to switch technicians because they wanted to service a returning customer. So the lady who sculpted my nails was not the same lady who painted them. The painter rushed my gel nail polish application and it didnt come out good at all!! I explained to them that I was really unhappy with her application and they tried to convince me that there was nothing wrong with my nails. I insisted that I would not walk out of this nail salon with my nails looking like that. They eventually had a guy repaint my nails. I got a french pedi and gel polish fill for $63. In my opinion, that is really over priced for the service they're giving people. Out of respect I still tipped all four people who serviced me, but I really felt insulted as a first time customer because I did not feel valued. I'm new to the area and is still looking for a nail shop that is professional and gives excellent customer service. I will not be returning here. After the guy repainted them they looked a lot better, but he told me he didn't see the difference from when she did them, which was an insult, because I think I know when someone does a great paint job or not. Even though my nails ended up looking better, I had buyers remorse and regretted spending $60+ on crappy customer service. I recommend that they hire more people so they can give each customer a great experience that walks in. That way they won't have to rush and can really take their time when doing someone's nails. Nail salons are a dime a dozen to me - I am not very loyal to any one particular place and its usually because every time you go to a place you get a different experience. This past Saturday was my second visit to Divine and I can't exactly complain because they do a good job on my gel manicure. The problem I have with this place is the time management. They don't take reservations on the weekends so it was PACKED. I had originally planned to get a manicure and pedicure, but after an hour and a half, the manicure was good enough for me. The staff was super apologetic and they are very friendly, but I am an in and out type customer when it comes to my nails. I don't like to spend all day at the salon. The nail technicians are good here, but be prepared to wait if you come in on the weekend! read more
