I had tried the BB before at a different salon to calm my frizzy and dry hair no avail. But I thought, why not give it a go? I kid you not, my hair has always been frizzy, dry, and sensitive to humidity. I had wasted my money on different "5 star" products and treatments that didn't work. It was frustrating. My hair has earned the nickname "lion mane" because of how thick and dry it is. But this treatment completely transformed my look! Josie treated my hair with great care and attention to detail. I've seen Shona only twice and after going to her I now feel like I've wasted my time looking for hair dressers. I should've been coming to Divine Design Hair Studio a long time ago! She really knows how to make a girl feel beautiful. It took me a long time to grow my hair out and I was afraid to get it cut again (another hair set back), but it was damaged and it needed to be done. Shona cut and styled my hair beautifully and made me feel great, plus my hair is healthier now! Not only is she a great hair stylist but she is an extremely sweet woman. She is officially my new hair guru! My sister and I come here all the time and don't regret it. The prices are reasonable (I even paid extra. That tells you how great she is!), the place has a "home-like" vibe, plus its neat and clean. Any style or hair texture, Shona has you covered. She truly goes above and beyond. Well, i have to say every time I leave the hair shop I feel brand new, relaxed, and ready for the world. I have been getting my hair done for the a few years(before the pandemic and return when she opened back up) but not going anywhere else until Mrs. Shona stops doing hair. :) Her shop environment is friendly fabulous and small. MOST IMPORTANT PART she does my baby girls hair too. THAT'S how much I trust her and she has growing hand. Both our hair grown. Wow! I I am a 55 year old man that has been dealing with hair trimming products to tackle my back hair grooming and I have been very hesitant to consider waxing as an alternative. I called Shona to inquire about her service and I was I Immediately impressed when she was able to courteously work me in to her busy schedule even on a day she typically is not open for business. I got a human hair tradition sew-in, no leave out/closure/frontal. I think we used almost three bundles of loose deep wave. I purchased the hair from shalamar, and she gave me the remaining hair. the wash and blow dry was included, hair was not. i got there a little before 1pm and left around 3:30pm. overall i paid $700 - wash and blow dry - braid down - hair (not included just purchased from her and was included in the final cost) - install and style - tip it was worth every single penny! between the attention to detail, the gentle care towards my hair, and the all around good vibes of everyone working there, continued beauty is the kind of black owned hair salon ive been dreaming of going to.
