Private swim lessons for my 7 year old grandson are going so well! David is good with him and he is now safe and comfortable in the water!!

Service was very helpful when I bought a new mask, snorkel and fins. I was on a one month snorkel trip and the mask leaked from the bottom the whole time. I tried to exchange the mask and they will not take anything back that has been in water besides their pool. I asked how that could've happened and they said I could have tested the mask in their pool when I bought it. I never knew that! Service was great, but their return/exchange policy is awful! read more

We were changing our batteries in our dive computer, didn't realize we put the battery in upside down. Then stripped the screw to take off the back of the computer to put in the battery the right way.... Couldn't. Went to the dive shop, Steven drilled screw to get it out. Took him an hour. then realized we needed a specific screw, located in Atlanta. Overnighted the screw and fixed it! Now we are ready for our dive trip in 2 days! I had the unique experience of speaking with management, customer service and the other side of things. I didn't get to experience the classes, but hopefully in the future. What I can say for the management team. They are committed to customers experience and service. I would say they have my loyalty because they showed they value the customer/diver above all else. My son works there. He raves about the culture, management, and customer focus to customize classes and equipment. I'm biased but as a client a couple of years ago, our training to refresh skills made me far more comfortable for our St Lucia trip. We've had two classes and both instructors were good. The pool is very clean, the ladies locker room clean. I think this a good place for swimming lessons and scuba training. read more

Roger was my teacher and was patient, warm, and kind, and he made what I thought would be a scary experience into a very fun one! The equipment, diving pool and staff are top notch. I left 2 High Pressure steel 120 cu.ft tanks to be filled on 17 July. I picked them up today 22 July. I checked the tanks to ensure that they were full. Both tanks read just over 2800 psi on their gauge. The technician said that their gauge was off 200 psi and assured me that the tanks are full. (3000psi is full) Upon returning home I checked both tanks with my Perdix dive computer and my analog gauge and both thanks were just over 2600 psi. So, I agree with the technician that their gauge is off 200 psi, but it is reading 200 psi high and not 200 psi low. If their gauge that they use to check tanks is that far out of calibration, I wonder if the equipment that they use to check regulators is out of calibration. The do sell new gauges in the store. The technician said that they are very understaffed. My Perdix dive computer and my Suunto analog gauge agreed. I can get a hot fill at most dive shops in Colorado and have this much air when the tank cools. UWC was recently purchased by Diventures and they no longer sells fill cards. They now charge $12 for a partial fill. Under the UWC brand they supported one local dive a year. They concentrating on training divers and if you want to gain experience through them you must sign up for more training or a SCUBA trip. read more

I wanted to take this time to let you know how Awesome Under Water Connections is. I grew up in Southern California and work at a Dive when I was younger. I just got back into Diving. I cannot think of one person because truly everyone I came into contact with at Under Water was outstanding, helpful and all around great people. I started off looking for a Dive suit and had to try on several different ones. I came back a few days later and did it all over again, I ended up purchasing a Water Proof, for me it was the perfect fit (I love It). Now I was getting ready to purchase gear I went up north to a couple other shops to compare, however Because of the staff and knowledge I return to Under Water Connections. Once again after a few visits I purchased following items BCD= Scuba Pro Hydros Pro BCD with Air2 V gen, Plus white panel to match my wet suit Reg/1st Stage = MK11/C370 by Scuba Pro Console, Aladin one 3-gauge console (Scuba Pro) Fin, Sea Wing Nova Fin (Scuba pro) Dry Bag, 120L, Black (Scuba Pro) For me I wanted to stay with Scuba Pro however they have everything and anything and of course all different price ranges. Having BCD, Reg and Console by scuba pro come with lifetime warranty on parts as long as I service it. I have been in their pool with everything on and it was perfect, BCD felt Awesome I love the fact it has its own back pack it fits into, I can switch out for warmer water and not so warm. The Reg wow, I could not be happier it was so smooth and easy to breathe. Now the fins so much power and I went with the swatch yellow so everyone can see me from behind, For my next step with under water is to complete my Dive Master. I took a snorkeling/skin diving lesson there a couple of days ago and it was great! I can't remember the instructor's name but he was an older gentleman who was very nice, informative, encouraging, and patient. He even let me use his towel! I was running way behind and left my house in such a hurry that I forgot my towel so he let me use his. He actually stayed way longer than the lesson was supposed to take b/c he told me not to stop until I was completely comfortable and that he would stay for as long as that took. The class was VERY reasonably priced and helped me the confidence to snorkel and skin dive in Bali next month. I highly recommend them for any snorkeling or diving lessons. read more

My son started his swimming lessons last year here (he is 13yo). As a beginner, I knew he would either start with toddlers and get private lessons. I always drove by underwater connection and thought this place was for divers. They are reasonable priced and very attentive. He enjoys his lessons very much and appointment time is flexible rather than I fit into their schedule ! Kudos ! read more

I do NOT recommend for children's swim lessons. They make you pay ahead for either 4 or 8 lessons (probably pretty standard), and say that you have to let them know about a cancellation at least 24 hours in advance. However, they will cancel your lessons without any notice. When you call to re-schedule a lesson that they cancelled, no one will answer the phone, so you have to go to the facility to reschedule. Sometimes lessons get re-scheduled multiple times, due to their cancellations. We paid for 8 lessons and only had 6. They re-scheduled us for 2 Saturday make-up lessons, but when we arrived, the person at the desk informed us that they NEVER schedule swimming lessons for Saturdays. Very frustrating experience with Underwater Connection. read more

I can't believe these guys only have 1 review! Got my license there 10 years ago, it was awesome then, is awesome now! Wanted to do an update for my trip to Jamaica. They signed me up fast and easy, got me feeling comfortable under water again and even helped me order a new duce card as I had lost mine. These guys are the best! The best dive shop I've ever been to is a thousand miles away from the ocean....I love the irony of it! This place is massive with its own pool for training. Fully stock with books, tools, equipment; everything. If I lived in Colorado, I'd get certified there for sure! read more

Our experience through the years has always been wonderful with UWC. All three of our kids were certified with them and my wife and I have taken refreshers there. The instructors are always very competent in their knowledge and spot on with their teaching mannerism. And, one consistent face of friendliness, patience and diving wisdom is Natchi (sp?) ... she is really great! read more

I really enjoy this place, it's locally ran and the staff and instructors truly care for your comfort and take the time to get to know you. My wife wasn't able to do Aurora due to the near black water dive conditions and they rescheduled her for blue hole the following month where she aced the open water course, the instructor Kevin also spent 1-on-1 time at blue hike to ensure the mask remove/clear at death wasn't an issue. As if that isn't enough, they also worked a deal out for 2 complete dive systems for me and the wife for cheaper than anywhere else!!! The staff here is fantastic! The retail staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful, and the instructors I have worked with here are a blast and genuinely seem to care. The prices in the shop are pretty comparable to Amazon, but if you buy here and have a problem with the item you get the benefit of speaking face to face with a person who will do their best to help you. They are helping me resolve an issue with a wetsuit I bought that ended up having issues with its stitching. After other shops closed down years back, this shop is now the only scuba shop in Colorado Springs, and I am so glad that it's a good one! With them having the monopoly on the market in Colorado Springs they could have let their services slide a little, but they haven't. I highly recommend them for both equipment purchases and for scuba training. read more

12 years ago I took scuba lessons and was greatly impressed with the instructors knowledge and professionalism. So at Christmas when my daughter mentioned learning to kayak I knew exactly where to go. We just finished lessons with Scott Holmberg. He was very knowledgeable and professional. But also made our lessons and trip fun. He's great! We are both hooked and looking forward to getting back on the water. Underwater Connection has helpful staff that really enjoy what they do! This place is great. They helped me learn to scuba dive for my trip to Maui. I knew what I was doing once I got there, which was nice. I hope that I am able to take another trip. I can't comment on their gear because I don't really know what stuff is supposed to cost. I just rented it when I got there. read more

I was certified 25 years ago with Underwater Connection but haven't gone on a dive for 20 years. Couldn't find my Padi card and the Padi website wasn't working. I emailed Underwater Connection as I was getting on a plane to Hawaii, and they looked up my number and got back to me within the hour!!!! This was even during the week of their grand reopening!!!! My kids are now interested in getting certified, and I am excited to sign them up at Underwater Connection!! read more
