He was able to come out at a convenient time for me and explained his pricing ahead of time. He said he would try to be to be to my place around 11:30. At 11:33 he called to let me know he was five minutes away. I really appreciated how prompt he was! The job was done quickly and Mike took plenty of time to explain the new system and he also helped me program an app that will remotely open and close my garage door. The price was very reasonable and he gives a one year labor warranty, which is generous. It's really great to run across people who take pride in doing great work. No one likes to have to spend money and replace things, but it sure helps when you have confidence that the job has been done well by someone who is prompt, professional and knows their stuff. Mike and staff did a great job. When my wife and built our new house, we went with the initial builder's doors. Wow, the winter really opened our eyes re: the non insulated aluminum doors and how cold our garage became. Mike gave us a great estimate for our Amarr Santiago doors with window in mahogany. The neighbors all came out to see the installation, as they were so impressed with quality and the look of the doors. It changed the entire appearance of the house. ( within 2 days he went to the factory and brought us a small sample of the color so we could verify the color) Quick, clean. Also we have had a number of workmen over the years. I purchased a property where the garage door did not open more than halfway. I had a number of people come out to diagnose the issue, and they all wanted to replace the entire garage door. I called Distinctive, since they had repaired another door for me and did a really good job. When he arrived, he looked around and noticed a 2x4 had gotten loose and was blocking the door from raising all the way. One minor repair bill later, the door was cleared of obstructions, a new weather seal was installed, and for good measure we replaced the door opener/closer (since I did not have to replace the door, there was room left in the budget.) Distinctive Garage Doors recently replaced our overhead garage door opener. They called when they were on the way and arrived promptly at the scheduled time. Mike and the fellow assisting him removed the old opener, hardware and accessories, installed new opener and associated accessories, leaving the work area clean and hauled away old parts and debris. They wore their masks, worked together very well, were polite, professional and proficient. Mike explained the features and set up the myQ app on phone for us. Mike responded quick to my request for service on a broken garage door lift spring. We set an appointment for the next morning at 9 AM.
