I've debated on writing this review because I truly believe Liliya has genuine care for patients…read more However, when thinking about the misguided medical advice and hundreds and hundreds of dollars I spent, I feel the need to strongly advise women 35 and older to avoid her practice.  I don't want anyone else to waste time and money like I did.  I came to Liliya in an attempt to find relief from extreme anxiety, weight gain, gastrointestinal issues, and migraines. After many months of following Liliya's treatment plan, which included expensive cleanses, supplements, hair tests, pellets, and sound bites on top of her monthly fee, I was no better.  Enough was enough. I had to find more adequate care to find out what I had already suspected, my symptoms were due to menopause. I had mentioned this suspicion to Liliya but she blew me off.  Liliya's approach was fragmented, focusing on individual symptoms rather than addressing the underlying hormonal imbalance.  The whole reason I came to a holistic doctor was to have my body looked at as a whole, and Liliya was not doing this.  I remember Liliya saying that I had "so many different symptoms" that she needed to focus on what was bothering me most first.  Well any medical practitioner who knows anything about menopause would recognize every one of the symptoms I was experiencing as menopause. We're not talking about some obscure disease that no one has heard of.  We are talking about menopause. A period of life that every woman goes through if she lives long enough. With the symptoms I was experiencing, this should have been one of the first, if not the very first thing ruled out before going through the crazy litany of potions she continued to sell me for months on end. I urge others to seek a practitioner who can effectively address hormonal issues and provide comprehensive care. The time and money I wasted on Liliya's treatments were infuriating.

I've been seeing Dr. Sinawi for about the last year and have alternated from multiple times a week…read morevisits to a few a month. I originally made my first appointment to help with mid back pain that wouldn't quit. I requested an appointment through their site and was promptly contacted directly to set up an appointment. A few things stand out to me about Dr. Sinawi that may be able to sum up my experience: flexible, friendly, persistent and creative. Flexible: I work in Detroit but live in RO and I can't tell you how many times i've called and said I'd be late due to traffic. Every time, I get an immediate and friendly reply from Meghan the receptionist (who is super friendly and personable herself) letting me know if they can make it work. 9.9/10 they are able to fit me in. They advise I may have to wait a little but I swear i've never had to wait more than 5 or 10 minutes. I appreciate that flexibility with all that competes for my time. Dr. Sinawi seems to understand that life happens and his priority is getting you the care you need. Added bonus, they recently added online scheduling that you can do from your phone or computer! Could it get any easier than that!? Friendly: No one wants to go to a Chiropractor that's a total butt or stuck up about the practice... at least I don't. Dr. Sinawi is a fun guy who is relatable and makes it easy to communicate with. I truly enjoy my visits from a human level. Good people give good experiences. This is also important to me because it creates an environment where I feel comfortable telling from if something did or didn't work. He is open to feedback and does not take it personal. If you do see him, be honest with him about what is working and not. That friendly demeanor isn't just a front, he will actually listen. Persistent and Creative: I'm going to lump these two together since I think they are two skills that complement Dr. Sinawi in his approach. When my first few sessions didn't get the results we were looking for right away he tried all kinds of different techniques until we found what worked for me. He keeps great notes to reference back to and always remember what did and did not work. At one point earlier this year I had my TMJ flare up and kick me in the face so bad I was going crossed eyed from the pain. Dr. Sinawi helped me with adjustments to my jaw and over time, we found relief from the adjustments that I just wasn't getting from the Dentist. I'd also like to add that Dr. Sinawi is open and even encourages complementary treatments. For example, Chiropractic and Massage Therapy, when it will be effective. Through his recommendation I started seeing a message therapist and the combination is really working for me. I see this as another example of how he has his patients best interest in mind. Bonus: He is also open late on Tuesday and Thursday which super helps us folks who are working the ol' 9-5.

I bought the vanilla and it tastes like a vanilla cupcake when mixed with almond/coconut milk. The consistency is great and the employee needed to drink his for the day so he even showed me his so I knew what it looked like before I bought it. I'm seriously one of the pickiest people when it comes to taste and protein powder; I've tried Designer Whey, Vega Chai Flavor, RAW Nutrition, Plant Head, Spirutein, Quest, EAS, and a few other whey based ones I can't remember. The GNC brand is so good, has a super short ingredient list, and tastes so good that I will only purchase it from now on and none of the others. The only one that compares in taste is Quest, but Quest contains sucralose (can't tolerate) and is pricey. The GNC brand is a whey based protein but it's super filtered so it doesn't bother my lactose intolerance (no bloating or other bad side effects!) like other brands have. The price isn't that bad either. As for the location, it's a smaller sized GNC. They have a good selection of protein and vitamins. The parking can be a little inconvenient. I went on a Sunday so it was free to park but I know during the week you may have to put some money in the meters. However, the location and parking isn't as important to me as quality products and good employees.
