Knowing what I know now after a year since we received our house, I would never do business with this company again and if you are thinking of purchasing a house from this company do your research before you do. One year later and we are living in a home with blue tape all over, marks of mistakes and other issues needing to be fixed. We paid for a completely built house but it is 1 year later and it is not the case. Message to the CEO, CFO, Supervisors etc. How proud do you feel when you get feedback like this ? One year ago your company received full payment, in return we received an incomplete house and we still have an incomplete house. No where in the purchase agreement does it state we were suppost to receive an incomplete house. What an embarrassment, you know where to find me in case you ever want to finish the house.

Very bad service.. i had a roof leak and they failed to help me fix it.. I keep trying to request for some one to fix my roof because i got one year warranty on the house.. they lag on me for 1/2 year so my warranty expired... scamming company

Now, if you're considering buying please read!**** This company is not transparent about prices. Homes will continuously be built. If you agreed to buy a home. If you signed the paperwork. If you get the loan. If you are in contract. The home will continue to be built with out your knowledge. Longer story shorter... We agreed to buy a home. Some items had already be picked for the home because there was no buyer. While we negotiated those things continued to be installed unbeknownst to us! . We paid $9,000 to have things "redone" because we had no idea the builders were installing things before we could make personalized decisions. If you are in a situation where your home purchase is contingent, THE HOME WILL CONTINUE TO BE BUILT WITHOUT YOUR PERSONALIZED MATERIALS. We were totally blindsided and the seller made NO mention of this policy. Please ask questions and be sure the home you're buying will be built with the selections you and your family make.

Be ready, this one's gonna be a long one. I've had nothing but a horrible experience with this company. I've had several purchases with other new home builders. All of them were amazing. So I had an expectation this company would be the same caliber of experience. Courtney and Mar (who now are at another location) were great, aside from little things falling through the cracks. When I first went in to the Vacaville office. There was only one single story available (already in process). I was told a price on how much it be to purchase, so I agreed and went with their lender. I get a call back a day later, come to find out the "seller" now says it's $15k more because they "released" it. Also I was told that I wouldn't get the agent referral because I was personally buying the house. Even though I have my license. But main factor, is that horrible design center. Amy and lisa are the worst. I worked with Amy to start with, and not only is she rude and condescending, she acted like it was an inconvenience to her that you are there. I budgeted to spend $20k (on top of the $5k in credit) in upgrades. But I only spent $5k. Cause she made The whole experience miserable. Plus they over charge for things. $9k for vinyl flooring (half the house mind you) $18k for the whole house. Absolute joke. And also, on their sheet for upgrades, there is no vinyl option. It shows laminate and hardwood. But Amy went ahead and told me they don't offer laminate. Then they wanted $1400 to put the outlets for the tv on a independent circuit. This is where Lisa came into play. And her explanation was... well people pay it. Just cause someone pays for it, doesn't mean it's the right thing for you to charge that amount. It's called price gouging. Went there last weekend to check in and see where they are. By the looks of it... there is gonna be a lot of blue tape all over the place when I do the final walk through. Now to present time, did the walk through today. The list I gave them last week of things to fix, seemed to have been taken care of. There were a few minor little things that still need to be taken care of, but I was assured they will be fixed by tomorrow. Jesus did a good job during the final walk through. Fully explained things and answered the questions I had. And assured me the issues will be handled by tomorrow. Highly likely I won't be buying another house from them in two years.

First floor bathroom

This is how our first floor bathroom looks now. We moved here on August. We keep calling the office to get an answer and they won't call us back. Do not buy a house from them, this is the worst company to buy a house from.

PVC pipes connected by duct tape to our main water line.

Noticed water pouring out from underneath a tree on the landscaping done by Discovery Homes next to our home. Unfortunately, the water line that broke is our main water line and had to be shut off by the city to get the water to stop flooding the landscaping. The line runs directly from the city's water meter, under the tree pictured, and then continues to my homes water line. I called Discovery Homes because our home is still under the 10 year warranty. Their customer service rep Dan said because it's plumbing outside of the home, our warranty isn't covered. I do not see how the home owners should be held liable for this costly repair, being that we did not plant that tree; nor did we mistakenly run a water line underneath where a tree was to be planted. I called them at 8:30 am and didn't hear back from them until the middle of the afternoon. I called their office four times and even called their emergency services line and no one wanted to help. They just kept forwarding me to peoples' voicemail boxes. This is unacceptable. Discovery Homes are the ones who designed the landscaping and system of pipes running under ground. We have only been living in our poorly built home for a few months and are basically being told to pack sand from the HOA (who says Discovery Homes is responsible) and by Discovery Homes themselves. I spoke to everyone calmly and with respect, and as soon as they realized I had a complaint their attitudes changed completely. I do not recommend anyone purchase a home from Discovery. It's a major bill waiting to happen that they will pawn off on you instead of taking responsibility for their design flaw.

We had several…read moreproblem that were covered under warranty however the Kiper rep was more concerned about protecting the contractors than resolving the issues. As a result, the 1- year "Fit & Finish" warranty expired and now we have to deal with the poor workmanship, cheap appliances and cracking plaster & stucco, peeling paint, tears in the carpet, carpet seams failing, plumbing issues, none of which would be considered normal wear as it it just my wife and I who live in the home. During the warranty period, the rep out-right lied in our face a couple times until we proved he was lying, then he began making excuses. We love our home because of the location, just regret not going with a different builder because of the problems that we have to fix at our expense.
