This place saved my day by fixing flat tire. I was on family vacation from CA to White Sand National Monument, NM. During the long road trip, my Volvo got flat tire and almost throw me into disaster. I found this place and they provided me cool water and fix my flat tire and did rebalancing for my tires without any charge. I wonder how on earth this type of people still exist! I was so impressed with their kindness toward strangers like me. While I was waiting I found their kindness not only cover visitors but also everyone in this community. I took pictures they provide free tire pressure check with no charge! They are truly angeles :) read more

Don't go there! First of all, i was just there to get a fix for flat tire. They changed my tire without my permission and without even telling me in advance. Second, WRONG SIZE! I am not raising any questions back then cuz I was busy. But today, i went to a check and they told me, that this store put on the WRONG size of tire on ONE SIDE of FRONT wheels! Which is very dangerous. Attached is the photo of my check. And another discounted tires location confirmed the wrong size. It is already illegal to put on tires without my consent; it is horrible to put on the wrong one. Absolutely zero star if I could. PS: this is only for this location, rather than the company. Discount tires is very great company. They gave me full refund, proper fix and explanations read more

I dropped my vehicle to have 4 new tires installed. When the vehicle was ready, they brought it out to me. Technician exampled to me that they had a problem with the nut of the wheel stud. So he handed me a new nut.. to replace the old one it didn't go on. That's when I saw that nut couldn't go on because the Technician had stripped the wheel stud. I went and got the manager, he said he was never told about the damaged wheel stud. He did say they would get it fixed. But, I have take off and go to the mechanic across the street to fix it and Discount tire will pay. First, the technician should have notified his supervisor. Second, the manager should have gone and got me. If the manager and the technician would have told about the problem first, and not bring my car out for pickup. I wouldn't have been mad. read more

Always terrific service and prices. They have even repaired a tire for me that was purchased elsewhere.

Quick, efficient tire replacement. Nice people. My car was ready before the estimated time. I would definitely recommend.

Everything went well everything was great. Dale was a great technician I recommend them to family and friends

We had to do some tire repair when we are at Alamogordo to visit White Sands National Park. We have to make some changes with our plan to be able to repair our tire. We went to this location to have our tire check, all the staff were pleasant and friendly, from the person doing air check to their senior asst manager Jake, . He helped us choosing the right tires. we told him that we are visiting and we don't want to stuck in the repair shop the whole day, we as the lunch as soon as we finish eating lunch, tire repair was completed. our time was not wasted and it was a smooth and fast service. read more

We were on vacation and had only driven about 500-600 miles into our new set of tires as we were leaving White Sands. A dash warning light came on for low psi and we were uncertain if we could make it to a repair shop. We called ahead and I was lucky enough to reach Dale at Discount Tire. Dale was polite, and kind to take a few extra moments to give us directions to guide me to his shop. He could have brushed me off and told me to use gps or simply "figure it out, I'm busy". That was not the case. Dale was eager to help. Upon arrival at his shop, he was already walking out the door to meet us and diagnose the issue. Within a few minutes, we were taken care of and reassured that everything was re-calibrated. Talk about convenience! Like a NASCAR pit-stop. Dale was a life saver. Thank you for being a gentleman, and for the excellent service you provided. read more

I hate to do this because I've been such a fan of discount tire for nearly a decade, but each location cannot be great. I called and asked them to look up my information for the free tire rotation and balance, and they were unable to find it. I called my home location and they pulled it up right away. I called back and was hung up on when I asked them to hold on a moment. I came in early to make sure they were able to find my information. The booked multiple appointments in the process for me. The tire rotation took almost two hours, and they were sloppy with their work. Tire lock was not put back, but rather tossed in the car. Have a little respect for the product, customers, and their time. I will not be back to this location. read more

My tire went flat and they were the only place in town that had my tires in stock and got me in that day. I ordered on line and made the appointment it was affordable, easy and very convenient. So much so I got all my tires replaced. Excellent customer service when I arrived. read more

No not everyone is always perfect, I do feel they try pretty hard to help you out. There are some service agents that are much better than others and obviously that's a personal issue thing when people don't care about Customer Service. For the most part I feel like they do a pretty good job and probably got some of the better prices and will probably try and give you a better deal if you find something better elsewhere. read more

I purchased a set of tires online-first time! Prices were very competitive and very easy to do online. They told me tires would be in 2 days. The very next day they called me and told me tires were in and ready to install. Very easy to have tires installed with no hassle at all. This is the second time I have purchased from this location and have had great service from them. I now consider them 'my' tire store. read more

It's been a bit of a chaotic month for us and we have been at Discount three times in three weeks (each time for a different issue). The sales team has been extremely helpful and has gone above and beyond to make sure that our experience was as pleasant as possible. It isn't often that you spend over thousand dollars on something like tires and you leave smiling but that is exactly what took place. We will be referring everyone we know. read more

Super professional and extremely quick to change all of my tires. I always bring my work trucks and my personal trucks here. They always have my tires on hand and they always go above and beyond to make sure I'm taken care of as a customer. You can't beat their prices, but most importantly you can't beat their helpfulness! I think the salesman's last name was Zachary, but he was able to get me in and out after having some defective tires that were recalled from the factory. He made the experience smooth as possible and I'm grateful. If you need tires, don't look anywhere else... discount tires in Alamogordo is the place to go. read more

I had previously bought tires from a Discount store in Arizona and had a great experience, so when my truck started shaking while driving, I brought it back to get looked at as nothing else appeared wrong. My dad happened to check it out for me and suggested it was one single tire, that appeared cupped and since the tires were guaranteed for 50k, I brought it in. Discount stated it was the suspension, etc, not the tire, so there was nothing they could do. I ended up buying a new tire and the shaking stopped. Like magic. This will be my last time here. read more

Today I was at Lowe's Grocery Store. A kind gentleman said Ma'am you have a flat tire. I drove to the air pump and it was almost flat . I filled it up and drove to Discount Tire. It was 6:40 pm they close at 6. There was a truck in one of the bays. I told them I had a flat. My tires are 5 years old past due on new ones. The walls were cracking the tread was gone. Let go ahead and get new tires. I'll come back tomorrow. Why Ma'am we can do it right now and they did. In no time at all I had 4 new tires on my car. The manager said our customers go out the front door. He unlocked the door . They drove my car to the front the young man handed me my keys and asked "Is there anything else we can do for you. I am blown away. Talk about making a person feel special. Y'all went above and beyond duty. I am speechless. Thank you for excellence in customer service. read more

I've gone to this store since they opened several years back. The service has always been great and most of the same guys have been here from the opening. My tires were looking pretty worn after my purchase of them last year, so I went in to see about getting a new set. I had purchased the extended warranty. The guy that 'helped' me was irritated acting and slightly rude. He basically told me that I had 20,000 miles on what they advertised as a 40,000 mile tire. And that they wouldn't really give me anything on the warranty end. He kept saying that it is an 'entry level' tire. So, that means that I bought the warranty for NOTHING. They won't stand behind it. He also told me that they cannot order the tires that I had, that they just had to wait on them to come in - that makes no sense to me. I have bought these Corsa tires because I don't have that much to spend and they have been pretty good. Discount Tire, you have ticked off the wrong person - so much for taking my hard earned money and not standing behind your warranty. read more

Went in for slow leak on tire I bought from them. They up-sold me into a new set of tires because my old ones had 40k on them, even though they should have made it to 50k miles. Fine, I wanted new tires before winter anyway because the POS ones they sold me were already getting slick. They said it would be a half hour. After 1.5 hours I had to go. I had not planned on spending whole day for a slow leak. Told them I didn't want tires and would be leaving. The thieves did NOT put the money back on my credit card. They didn't give me the tires. They just kept over $1100. Had to go back later to get my money back. Never trust them again. read more

My Family & I were on a road trip. My sons truck had a flat tire at the White Sands New Mexico State park. I called Discount tire to see if they were busy, I spoke with Sean & he said they would be able to help us out. So my husband & I took the tire to Discount tire in Alamogordo. Sean said the tire wasn't repairable, he had a replacement in stock. Sean had it mounted & balanced in 10 minutes. Sean was professional and courteous. He did what he he needed to get us back on the road. Thank you for the Awesome customer service you gave us. Which is super hard to find anymore. read more

Horrible place! The guy checked my girlfriends tired and said the tire was good and made us order rims but not a tire. So we ended up waiting over 3 weeks for the tire that was "good" which it wasn't. Guys were rude and didn't know what they were doing. Do better okay? read more

We have been waiting more then an hour to get 2 tow dolly tires. Lots of sharp, strong looking guys standing around. One guy with a dually was worked on 3 or 4 separate times. They would remove his tires, put them on again, he would pull out of the bay and then complain about something. At one point, 4 guys just stood around a bunch of boxes (inventory to be put away) and were chewing the fat. It's irritating. My time is worth something. If I could see the team hustling to get people done in a reasonable time frame I would have had different experience. Imagine what would happen if they actually did the work in a timely fashion. They would have a line out the door. Very disappointed. read more

When you hear the word "free" patch work, remind yourself nothing is free. We had a rental car that was slowly losing air. Took the tire in, and minutes later they shared it would be over $250 to replace the tire because it was unrepairable. Oddly enough, We asked to see the tire again and it had a huge puncture in it- one that wasn't there before. This is a scam. I don't write reviews but felt I needed to share so this can hopefully be prevented by someone else. read more

Very professional, speedy service. This tire shop has very competitive prices and are willing to work with you to find a good value for your vehicle's tire needs. I've bought 2 full sets of tires, and one set of wheels from here for my two vehicles, and have been super satisfied everytime. The Assistant Manager, Jacob (as of 2015), is always very professional and extremely helpful. When you buy tires here, you get an excellent warranty and complimentary services (such as free inspections, balancing, and rotating) for the life of your tires; and are offered very inexpensive repair options for any problems you may experience regarding your tires. I would highly recommend Discount Tires! read more

I have used discount tire about 6 times, and every time walked out happy. From the very knowledgeable staff and great customer service, to the very great prices and products. I usually ask for Jake or Joseph who have always been extremely professional and helpful in getting me what I need. They always go above and beyond to accommodate my needs by getting me the best price, including price matching. On thanksgiving day early in the morning someone slashed the tires on my wife's vehicle. Unfortunately they are closed this day but the following day due to the holiday and situation they gave me an awesome deal on 4 tires. They have also fixed a flat for me at no charge on a tire not purchased at this company. I will always use them and highly recommend discount tire to anyone needing new tires. And if you can't afford new tires, they sometimes have used tires at a great price. Some say buying new tires is like going to the dentist, only when you absolutely need them. Not at discount tire it's a great buying experience. Thanks guys and keep up the great work read more

We travel all over the U.S. and I deal with Discount/America's Tire stores when ever I need or have tire issues. They always have great service and normally I'm in and out within 1 1/2 hrs. I have a dually. On a rotation they have to dismount and remount at least 4 of the 6 tires. This time I had a nail in one of my tires and I was there less than one hour to get the tire patched up. This store is no exception. The service was great and the people very friendly. read more

Bad service. I bought my tires 3 years ago at this location. I came in for a tire rotation, but the service guy refused to do anything, because the front tires are at "1 "( back ones have 3). He said it's "unsafe" to touch them. It had 50k warranty, but I only drove 40k in 3 years. He pushed me to buy all 4 set of new tires. I know my tires are getting there to be replaced, but it's my call to do so. I don't need anyone intimidate me to replace my tires. I was going to give 1 star, but for past 3 years, I liked the fact I can come in get my tires rotated and repaired at no cost. read more

I purchased new tires two years ago from Alamogordo Discount Tire. I've been in for rotate/balance with an appointment as it should be done. Today, I went in to get an air check as the tire indicator light in my car came on. There were a lot of people there, very busy. I waited in line and when it was my turn the young man asked how he could help me. I explained that I needed air in my tire. I was told he would put my name down and when they got to my name my car would be pulled in. He said, "they weren't equipped to air my tire unless it was in the bay." Mind you, there's a sign that says free air checks and an air hose outside of the building. I went to Discount Tire based on a very good recommendation. As a woman, I need to have a place that is convenient and accommodating. I was there during my lunch break and didn't have much time. He even told me that I could come back another time or go some place else. Oh they were very helpful when I bought tires, but now that one of those tires needs air, it becomes an issue. I've never been told this by other places I've bought tires. Lesson learned, I will take that young man's advice and take my business elsewhere and go to Big O or Martin Tire for my next set of tires. read more

I am very impressed! I stopped in after finding out I had driven over a screw at some point recently. The first gentleman came out, looked at all of my tires and mentioned that I would need new tires soon as the ones I have are 3 years old... Warning flags went up. He also mentioned I may need a new tire for the one with the screw but they would attempt to fix it first. So I handed my keys over and he told me to be back in 45 minutes. When I came back, a different gentleman helped me. He handed me my keys and told me to have a great day... Wait? They fixed it for free??? The last tire I needed fixed cost me $20 at a different establishment in town and that was for a slow leak. I asked about pricing for a set of tires in the future and the prices were very reasonable. I look forward to working with this business in the future! read more

Want overpriced? This place is for you. Go there to get 2 tires mounted and the price was ridiculous. Because I already bought tires online? Saying that they can match any price online. If that's the case they should make it very obvious on the website. Won't be back. read more

Take your car here if you hate it. 15 minutes after leaving my truck there for a tire change, I found my home a/c wasn't working. Now faced with a potentially pricey repair, I called and asked if it was too late to just plug the tire. They said it was no problem. Once I picked up my truck, I noticed a foul odor inside. I found that the technician had liberally coated the backside of my spare tire, carpet, plastic and mount bracket with the repair tar! Basically everything hidden behind the spare tire. There's no doubt it was intentional, the amount of tar wasn't residual, we're talking a few cups here..... Never dealing with this store again. read more

The good part about discount tire is their pricing is reasonable, and their service is fast.. This is about where the good part ends though, and you would think that would be enough, but it isn't. I bought one tire as a replacement a year and a half ago, 3 of the same tire maybe 4 months later to make the set complete, I thought that meant with a good, $120ish per tire price I would at least get 3 years or 25,000-30,000 miles on them without much of an issue. At the time the worker said it was in alignment and would just be pulling a little to the right for a few days and would stop. Little did I know that discount tire doesn't do alignments at all. That tech/worker out smarted me, and a year later the two front tires were recked from the tread wearing off on the sides, and they got another 2 tires out of me. They think they gave me a deal by giving me one of the two tires for free, but from my perspective I should have 1-2 years left on my tires that are now unsafe to use. Be aware of the lack of alignment, pay to have someone who you can actually trust test it, because it seemed like an obvious deceit to me, but they got another $100 out of me, so I guess they are happy. read more

I had a very satisying experience today at Discount Tire. As we all know, buying tires can be expensive and waiting around for them to be installed can take the better part of your day. For starters, Discount Tire has a great website, something that most businesses in this town seriously lack (I never understand it...websites are great for business. I would more than likely patronize a business that lets me research their products online, rather than call or go in, only to be disappointed). Anyway, at the Discount Tire website, you can read reviews from other customers, research what kind of tires are available, and book an appointment to get the work done. Very informative, user friendly website...I was sold! I reserved my tires and made an appointment for the next morning. When I arrived it was quite busy, but they had plenty of techs on hand. The staff members that assisted me were very helpful and friendly, my SUV was taken in on time and returned to me within 40 minutes with beautiful new high quality tires (BF Goodrich). The cost was more than reasonable, with a wide range of prices to chose from, depending on your vehicle and budget. I would highly recommend Discount Tire! read more

Disappointed...I've been going to discount tire for 12 years without any issues, until now. I bought tires online only because the deal was unbeatable. All I needed discount tire to do was mount and balance the new tires. I've done this before at a discount tire in Phoenix and they did it for free due to the amount of business I give them and I'm military. So the guy (won't mention his name) comes out to look at the vehicle and starts questioning me about where I got the tires and asked me if they are street legal?!?? I told him I bought them off a reputable tire website and the freaking stickers were still on the tires, not to mention the big DOT stamp. So we go inside and he asks another guy what he's supposed to do for just a mount and balance. The other guy starts inputting all these "additional" fees. He asks me of the wheels are after market, which they are, but the same specification as stock. Then a bunch more questions which makes me wonder why the other guy even went out to the car. Then he says its going to be $130?!??!? I didn't even pay that much for one tire. He said that mounting the tires are a liability. Yeah right, no thanks. Went out to the tire shop on Holloman AFB, $60 mounted, balanced, and friendly service. I will NOT be going back to the discount tire in alamogordo. Be careful going here. read more

bad experience the last two times I was there staff kept pushing me to buy wheels. They were much better when they first opened, it seems that they were working to make an impression, now they are totally slacking off. Apparently a disgruntle ex employee told a friend of mine that they mess with tires to drive up sales, especially now that Walmart lowered their prices. Not going back. read more
