We could not be happier with the work performed by Eric at Helena's Drain Doctor. He helped us when…read morewe were in desperate need. We had a plumber come do some work on Thursday. Basic stuff, reseat a toilet, replace a kitchen faucet, and snake out the kitchen sink drain. That plumber left telling us we should get someone who specializes in drain snaking. He did not tell us we shouldn't use our facilities. By Saturday, we had sewage backing up into our bathroom. Why does this always happen on a weekend? As you can imagine we freaked out. We called several drain specialists but no one was answering on a Saturday morning except Eric from the Drain Doctor. He listened to our freak out with patience and kindness. Although his camera was broken, he rented one saying he'd be here within an 1 1/2 hours. He was at our home in less time. He spent at least 6 hours trying to clear our drains without success. He tried so hard to help us. He called his contacts to give him advice, he even went out to our long abandoned detached studio, removed that toilet that hadn't been used in decades to try to snake from a different direction. He surmised that with the age of our home built in 1888 we likely had a collapsed sewer main, which no simple snake is going to break through. For all that effort he charged at least half of what someone else would have charged. We know, we've had lots of Saturday service with this old house. He was not able to identify a specific issue, however the capacitor was a bit out of spec, so had him replace it since the unit was already disassembled. The issues I have with the service is 1.
