Rude and disrespectful. Fraudulent billing to Mainecare when client had not been seen in months.

Getting clean is not an overnight job and having the support has made it possible. There is so much stigma about methadone treatment and there was a time I hated going in and hoped nobody scene me. Now I hold my head high and thank my lucky starts I wasn't found dead somewhere in Bangor. Much rather be scene walking into a treatment center then into a trap house and never scene walking back out. Thank you Discovery House! P If u don't understand opiate addiction, and haven't dealt with it personally try not being so judgmental. We all have our demons, and addictions. Whether it's porn, gambling, sex, shoplifting, social media, coffee, smoking, food, making/spending $, music, overworking, ect. We all have something we use to take us outside of ourselves in search of that happy place. We're not as different as one may think.

Of course there were rules, all for the good for the patients. Re: Mr Penobe G's review, I couldn't disagree more. As I went through alcohol withdrawal I found the nurses and staff members to be attentive as they addressed my symptoms and the medications provided worked perfectly. Therefore Mr. Penobe G's statement regarding low level medications provided for mild pain, nausea is not correct. Clients are scored according to symptoms and medicated appropriately The other clients and myself were not expected to go "cold turkey" and medicated appropriately. All of the staff members were professional and compassionate. I was seen by a Nurse Practitioner the day after my arrival. Basic toiletries were provided, I was given a toothbrush, toothpaste, a comb and deodorant. Soap, shampoo and conditioner were attached to the shower wall. For the clients, there was plenty to do if you were so motivated. Paint supplies, crafting goodies and a bookshelf full of good information for the motivated person. As for the meals provided, I fully understood the program is on a budget and a lot of the meals were very good! I personally witnessed the kitchen staff make homemade food, and it was not leftovers from a restaurant. I was not focused on the food and appreciated what was provided. The TV in the living room had dozens of choices. If I needed to talk with a staff member there was always someone available. Detox is just that...helping you with the symptoms in a safe manner. I found that the clients were friendly and engaging and enjoyed great conversation. I got what I needed...medical care, attentive nurses and staff members. I purposefully engaged with the other clients and hope I was a help to them as they were to me. You get what you put into the detox program. If I am correct, the staff members monitor your phone calls as a precaution. A longer term rehab program will provide the needed counseling. A detox center monitors your symptoms and treats the symptoms according to a scoring system. Worked perfectly for me and I thank the director, nurses and other staff members! Kelley

NOT…read morea medical Detox program for Opiates and alcohol, For those who have been told that, you have been lied to or Misled to think that they will give any medication to you need, that you didn't get from the doctor, Which are usually very Mild For Pain, nausea, and will not help very much with your bad symptoms. That can lead to Seizures, Heart arrest, Even death! They have no Doctors either, and fully expect the person or persons to go cold turkey risking your life in the process, Only nurses and trainees, They take all your belongings such as wallets, Phones, Cigarettes lighters, and what ever else you may be carrying. Even your cloths to wash. It's more like a Jail, They Lock you in with double sided dead bolts. They do not have toiletrys or Decent hygiene products, Got mine in small dipping cups usually used for sauce, No Disposable Hair brushes, Bars of soap even toothbrushes or toothpaste. And for being a social Detox program they do very little with you, They have 3 group cessions a day that are a half hour each. very little one,one Counseling to almost none at all for some people. Leaving you with NOTHING, I MEAN NOTHING! TO DO but sit on your hands, or passe around the building for the next 14-16 hours of being neglected and the food is horrible, All leftovers donated from restaurants that's old and been sitting around all day and probably other days before someone delivers it. most to do is play a board game, No Cable or Satellite not even normal . Have internet but can't use computers just like your phone. I was lucky enough to have had one of the patients Use their Netflix account and when they got discharged they didn't log out of their account. DvD player or DvD's. You Could smoke thank god but only every two hours, But needed to wait for them but your thing but everything is under lock and key and standing in the blistering cold since their is shed or shelter. All calls or visits are monitored not even like the across the room, Talking right over your shoulder listening to every word. Most of the people that are in there come in on they're pretty good people but freaks too, So Hope if you look up Wellsprings reviews you find mine, that is a fucking joke if you Don't believe me go ahead and find for yourself. Best of luck to whom ever needs detox hope you don't end up in a place like mt first rodeo, and some of these places might do some similar thin

I won't bother going into details as they (this rehab) are not worth any more of my time. On a side note, the administrator is very accessible and will call you back, but she isn't the one on the floor running the show. The case manager, Jim, he cares about money, not patient care, which is my personal opinion. Terrible discharge planning. I'm changing my review to a 1 because I actually just spoke with the "charge nurse." So I gave them 2 stars only because they haven't actually killed my father, yet. Staff is nice when you can actually talk to them, but it's a facade because they will just push you off on someone else that you can't actually talk to. Why do you not have staff to answer the phone? Or at least an automated system so you can get to the nurses station?

Brewer Rehab is a horrible place. I feel bad for people that don't have anyone advocating for them…read more That is really scary to think about. Brewer Rehab is responsible for the death of my mother. Because of their negligence she ended up getting sepsis and never recovered. The day I found her unconscious (was breathing she wouldn't wake up this @ 2pm )is a day I will never forget. They tried to tell me she was just really tired. She still had her 12 o clock meds still swelled up in her mouth.. she had to be that way for quite some time before I got there. Finally after a long while they got their "pcp" in there to finally say she needed to go to the hospital. The condition she was in when arriving to the hospital was absolutely inhumane . The two months she was in brewer I had to fight for her care. Having to go to other doctors constantly because her health was declining. It should of been the nurses and pcp at brewer rehab making reports to her other doctors. But they never did. Right from the beginning their were problems, it was never-ending, with late meds, running out of medicine, property missing, I had to go out and buy fans to put in her room because even though they said they would put an ac in never did. They are so short staffed they will hire anyone. Many people there with drug problems. She had one cna really wanting one of her dresses (she had 2 of the same) they both went missing two days later. Its absolutely horrifying how this place is run. If residents make any kind if complaints or stick up for other residents like one of my mom's roommates they will either come up with a way to end their stay or have med techs yell at residents for being "trouble makers" or problems makers since they arrived. This was witnessed. There are a few good people that you can see truly care about their work and the residents. Megan, Orlando,Ryan cnas Kim the night nurse.A couple others I don't know their names. Her OT,PT AND SPEECH workers were great with her as well. The pt supervisor was horrible. But the others my mom loved them. The last 3 months has been a nightmare at the hands of Brewer Rehab. Please don't let your loved ones go here unless you plan on staying there with them 24/7. Even the last time I would walk in that place to get my mother's things as planned by them, there was no one to talk to to get them. Until i had to figure it out myself. A cna I recognized knew where to go. Typical brewer rehab fashion! Of course I didn't get everything that belonged to her back. They kept the fans that were marked and a few other things that was important to her. .thank you all for ruining and taken my mother's life. Along with ruining her grandchildren, children, and all that loved her.
