Had Suddenlink, wish I still did. They said I would be able to get about 9 MBS when I signed up. When they came out here they said it would be more like 3 MBS. Now I can't even get 1 MBS download speed most times. I did a test on Ookla.com and download was just at 1MBS, upload was .30MBS! It takes FOREVER to upload files. Whenever I have something I need to upload to the net for work I have to go to a friends house who has sudden link. i have missed more than one deadline waiting for my files to upload on dropbox. DB said it would take three days to upload! I went to my friends and it literally took 45 seconds. If more than one person is using a device at home the Netflix or Amazon Prime will freeze and then not play in HD, only fuzzy, pixelated. If it rains, thinks about raining or if the dish even hears the word rain, we lose signal. They lock you in to a contract, lying to you that you will get something they know they can't deliver. When you call to complain they pass you around and then just tell you they can't help you. It makes using the net a living hell. I prefer streaming tv on my iPhone rather than my large screen TV because it freezes so much. I honestly don't see how these companies can get away with it. If there is a class-action lawsuit against this company I would love to hear about it. It is a classic bait-and-switch. I don't see how they continue to operate. In short, Direct TV is complete and total crap. Stay away. Stay far far far away. Get something else, anything else, two tin cans on a string would work better. read more
