    I would strongly caution anyone considering Dain Conway Tax Services…read more I used them for both my LLC and personal taxes, and the experience has been extremely stressful, time-consuming, and ultimately costly. After filing, I received letters from the IRS indicating that items were filed incorrectly. What should have been a routine process turned into a months-long ordeal of trying to fix mistakes that should never have happened. This year, we had to work with another professional to correct those errors. After filing amendments, we actually received significantly more money back clear evidence that the original returns were not prepared accurately or thoroughly. From a professional standpoint, there were several major concerns: Lack of accuracy and attention to detail in filings Failure to properly review returns before submission Poor communication and lack of follow-through Providing reassurance that everything was "handled" when it was not Creating additional financial and administrative burden due to errors In addition, interactions with their team were consistently unprofessional. Communication felt dismissive and, at times, outright rude. When you are trusting someone with something as important as your finances and business compliance, you expect professionalism, clarity, and accountability....none of which we experienced. As a business owner, I relied on their expertise to ensure compliance and accuracy. Instead, I was left dealing with IRS notices, amendments, and unnecessary stress. I do not write reviews lightly, but I genuinely do not want others to go through what we experienced. Choosing a tax preparer is an important decision, and based on my experience, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere for someone who is thorough, responsive, and truly knowledgeable.

Jason is very efficient at getting my paperwork done. Plenty of parking available. The office is easy to find, when you walk up the stairs turn right. Highly recommend coming here. Last year, I provided all…read moreof my tax documents by the beginning of March and was assured that the taxes would be filed and the documents returned to me in a timely manner. As I do not have difficult taxes, I thought nothing of it until I had to deal with filing an extension with the IRS while on vacation multiple timezones away. Still, once I was finally able to pick up my documents last year, I spoke with 2 receptionists who gave me a recommendation to a different lawyer of the firm. This January, I called and made an appointment with the second lawyer. I received a call later, one of the office staff advising me that there was a scheduling mix up and would I come in for an appointment an hour earlier? I agreed and showed up at the new time, at which point I was informed that I had been scheduled with the old lawyer instead-the one who caused a delay last year. I spoke with the office manager to express my frustrations (to her credit, none of this was her fault) and the situation from last year and was told that my options were to do a drop off (which I had made the appointment to avoid), to have an appointment with the lawyer I was moving on from, or " I was welcome to go with another firm." Ultimately, I chose to do the drop off, as it's already late in the season for another firm. Just as I was getting home, however, I received a call that, due to my dissatisfaction, it was decided that I should go to a different firm and my documents were available to pick up. Yep, because I had a negative experience at this firm last year, another one this year and expressed it, I have been fired as a client. As I left, I mentioned my intention to relate this experience in a review- exact response? "I'm sure we can take it." I'm sure they can. I'm also sure prospective clients should know that the consequences of this firm's unprofessionalism will fall squarely on the customer.

    I have had good luck here in the past. This year has been horrible. Finished my tax return early…read moreJanuary to get it out of the way. I noticed that after the January 23rd date for the IRS accepting returns that mine had not been received. I called and talked to both the office and customer service on the phone. On two separate occasions I was told that the IRS had received my return but was being audited. So I contacted the office and my tax lady said that it was a computer error and had not been sent in. So I was lied to twice by customer service. In reality they would not have known that my taxes were being audited. Same thing happened with my state return. I know that state returns usually take longer, but now into February it had not been received. So I called the office directly and there was another computer issue. I had to resign all the paperwork again and the return was sent. At some time in the process my return was changed from direct deposit to a paper check mailed to me. I was told that the check was mailed out on February 8. I was told if I didn't receive it by February 18th to call customer service back. The 18th came around and no check. So I contacted customer service back and they told me to call back after the 21st. No check. Then the 22nd. No check. So I was finally able to talk to a supervisor in person today. She could not figure out what the issue was either. Ashe contacted corporate directly and they then told her to inform me I had to wait another 4 days before contacting corporate back. When it comes to your money you need to trust the people who do your returns. H&R has done nothing but repeatedly lie and done nothing to help me resolve the situation and I am still wondering what is going on.

That's fine, almost 30 minutes later we over hear the receptionist speaking to another co-worker saying that G* said the ppl he was with brought more tax forms than expected.... Now G* hasn't been up to the front desk and no calls have been made since we got there. I don't mind waiting if given all of the information and given a choice. We could have waited or even rescheduled. However do not leave me sitting there waiting twiddling my thumbs when you knew G* wasn't getting to us anytime soon. That is just plain crappy customer service.
