We were able to get fast reservations on a Sunday. I made them very last minute at about 1:45 for 2:15 for a party of 3. We got there and they sat us pretty quickly. Manager/supervisor not sure who she was greeted us and asked if our first time, it was. She explained the menu, which was very helpful. They also have a "secret menu" for kids. The place itself is very nice the people the chairs the decor just everything very nice!! The food and drinks so good, I honestly didn't expect it to be so good. Different food and drink vibes in comparison to other places. Waitress Mary was very nice and helpful also, her and the other girl constantly checked on us. Menu price is a little more on the expensive side not a place I would go to often but on special occasions. But would come back again for sure, no doubt. BUT there were so many issues. - The food takes way too long to come out. They're def lacking in the kitchen. $75 filet & scallop plate came out with micro scallops that you top sushi with. Everyone is very friendly, our server Prisila was very attentive and super quick and efficient when bringing our drinks. We came to celebrate a dear friends birthday and from the minute you walk in the place is freaking cute ! We were sat down and our waiter Jorge was so accommodating to our needs, Priscila the supervisor in charge came over to greet us and made us feel incredibly welcomed. We had the grill guacamole that came stray out the fridge, pardon my innocence but if I'm asking for grill avocado guacamole ($20.00) wasn't it supposed to be warm and tasty, instead we got a freaking black frozen avocado super salty and nasty I got the arrachera ($55.00) which was good but not amazing for the price, also we got the mango habanero aguachiles ($35.00) worst aguachile ever and salty as well. Almost every single cocktail goes to $20.00 and up, beer choices are ridiculous only five kinds of beer, and the choices are not so good. The restaurant definitely has a West Hollywood flashy kind of vibe with it's lighting decorum, use of glass and mirrors. The staff is very friendly, accommodating and hospitable. Unfortunately, the food was very ordinary with basic food profiles. Carnitas with Spanish rice, beans and not homemade corn tortillas ($45), steak arrechera (skirt steak) with roasted peppers, arroz verde, black beans and corn tortillas ($55). The carnitas was not very flavorful and the skirt steak was rather tough and chewy. The cocktails were tasty. For our dessert, we tried the ($40) churros with caramelized bananas with ice cream on top. The churros were hard rather than soft and fluffy and the bananas were not sweet. Unfortunately, this restaurant did not live up to expectations. This is flash over substance. The service and presentation are beautiful but the food is just ordinary but is priced like end dining. I wanted to try this place since it just opened. I came in on a Tuesday night with my family and the place wasn't too busy. The hostess greeted us nicely and sat us down. The section we were placed wasn't full or busy. I'm disappointed that we didn't get greeted or approached by the waitstaff to take our order. There was another group that was sat after us and the waiter started taking their order. We waited for 20 minutes for someone to come by to take our order but nobody even bothered to stop by. Low rating is for the food. Before I get into that, the service was wonderful. All of the ladies working there were so sweet and made the experience enjoyable. However, the food is overpriced for what you get. The description for the taquitos langostinos was misleading. We were expecting some type of shrimp tacos, but got what was essentially four pieces of shrimp on top of spicy coleslaw. I thought they had brought us someone else's order when they shrimp arrived at our table. Those shouldn't be allowed to be called taquitos. The churros foster also only came with 4 small churro bites. The steak was average. The only thing that stood out in a good way was the honey lavender lemonade, it had a really nice flavor. Visited Diosa for the first time this evening. Thought I was going to be treating my friends to a special dinner experience and it turned out to be disappointing. Juan Carlos was not a very attentive server! As far as the food, we were pleased, but the steak on the Caesar salad was very very salty. We waited too long for a dessert menu following our meal and just to be told that we had already viewed the dessert menu at the time of placing our dinner order. The experience was annoying and extended our evening at Diosa far beyond our plans for the evening. We felt ignored on a very slow night. read more

The place is beautiful but my husband and I experienced poor service and stale food. I ordered the Enchiladas Del Mar but was served the Enchiladas Poblanas instead. I waited for the waiter but he never checked up on my us. I was starved so I settled for the wrong dish. The tortillas were hard and stale. For a $37 plate, that was unacceptable! On top of that, the restaurant adds a Cost of Living surcharge! With prices that high, one would think that that they would cover that surcharge so we asked fir it to be removed. When the waiter finally stopped to check in us, I made him aware that of the food problem. He brought me ice cream to make everything better! I make the hour and a half drive the following weekend, and my umbrella is nowhere to be found. No one knows what I'm talking about.. THANKFULLY my debit card was there. .. My point is, don't tell a customer you will hold their items and keep it safe for them .. when you don't mean what you are saying. It was a $25 dollar umbrella, I don't care about the cost. I highly recommend Diosa for any event. The host was very friendly when my party and I checked in for our reservation. We walk to our table and the service by Julian was outstanding. He was very professional and friendly as our server. He checked on us multiple times, and was very welcoming. The drinks we order were outstanding, and I will order them again. Julian didn't make my birthday special with a birthday shot. The manager Prisela, was also very hospitable and asked if we were celebrating any special occasion . She then proceeded to bring a birthday sign, which made my birthday extra special. I'm glad I chose to come here to celebrate my special day. We came here to celebrate a friends birthday. First let me start with the parking. Although there is a big lot it can be time consuming to find a spot because of all the people there. We had reservations we waited about 20 minutes, however it was ok because that is how long it took to find parking. We were seated and our waiter came over immediately. We started with drinks I had the strawberry basil margarita it was amazing and my friend had the X fenty which she liked. We ordered the smoked guacamole and chips, there was huge chunks of avocado so I had to mash it to make it more like guacamole and you do not get a lot of chips but they are very tasty. We ordered street corn (that our waiter must've forgot about because we had to ask about it and it came after our meal came). I ordered the rib-eye Parilla and my friend got the Mar y Tierra. I had to send my steak back because I asked for well done and they gave me medium rare. The place itself is beautiful, service is okay, the hostesses were great however the wait staff seemed bored very straight faced no emotion at all. The most beautiful and elegant restaurant in Downey hands down!:) was expecting the typical Bjs, El pescador or Tempo Cantina restaurant vibe those would be the local "nice" restaurants around but it was definitely a lot fancier than that,I felt A bit under dressed since I was coming straight from work the service was outstanding our waiter Danny was very attentive and all the servers were very kind Most of the main courses were ranging from 37-130 dollars a plate which I don't mind at all but it definitely fell short to the expectation.
