I live in the area and I was so excited to try this new restaurant, however service is terrible and they give u happy hour prices but when your check comes they charge you full price for what ever you ordered. On top of that I killed two Mosquitos with my napkin preventing them from going to my food or to the table next to us. They also charged us for dressing for our dry assss salads! I asked the Chinese manager if she can remove the charge from our salad dressing because our salad was really dry and she said no. Point being they can check their cameras for the mosquitos I killed and we also witness a waitress dropping a glass margarita on another females leg and she cut her (also can check the cameras). Went for mothers birthday, the customer service is perplexing on how awful it was. No form of respect between waitresses and the customer. The food is mediocre at best some dishes are good some are just not there. Tough steak asked for it medium some places it was in others it was well done. We had asked if there was anything available for birthdays and sure enough they give you ice cream but where they really screwed it up was when the lady brought it to us when my mother still had her plate of food in front of her. The drinks were below average for the price and lastly it was the waitress bringing us the check without us asking for it which just served us the customer a bad taste as if we were being rushed. The place is beautiful but it gives that sense of a fancy hotel lobby. Management needs to straighten up because the place has potential but they're focused on the wrong areas. Diosa is high elevated restaurant that met all the expectations from the moment you walk in you feel welcomed and well taken care of and acknowledged. Taylor was our server and she was so sweet and very attentive, she would refill our waters consistently and made sure we were well taken care of. OMG and the food it was so delicious the portions they have for one person is a pretty decent (aka a large amount). Also it was my birthday so they brought me a paper with my name on it with a complementary ice cream with candle and a shot, presentation was immaculate. Hope this review help this restaurant change things as it's an excellent concept, but... service is not what you would expect for the price you will pay. Managers are attentive but the waiters need to be the same or more. We got attended way after other people came after us, our food arrived in a not acceptable way, we were 2 person and only and one of us got served the main dish first and then 15 minutes later I got my main dish. This should not be acceptable in this kind of restaurant. Even in King Taco, to put an example, they give you all your party's food at the same time. Now let's talk about the restrooms, at a place like this, that looks very high class, is expected that their restrooms would be super clean and welcoming, well, no, unfortunately they were dirty, extremely dirty ( the men's ), this talks about how the restaurant is in the kitchen as employees use the same restrooms. There were crew girls with carts offering drinks, but they would just pass us by without offering us one, we were eager to get one but the 3 that passed by us ignored us completely. About their crew, they do have a lot of crew, a lot, for these things to be happening. But this restaurant has potential, it has the feeling of high end restaurant, so hope this rating gets to their upper management so they can take action on these problems and solve them before they en up closing down for people realizing that it's not worth the price for the experience. But maybe this will never get viewed or answer as all the 79 reviews before mine, kind of got ignored. read more

Had the worst experience ever well besides one server William he was on point he was friendly, polite and on it but besides that everything else sucked. I wanted to love this place as its so close to home and the place is very nicely decorated but unfortunately the experience wasn't as great for the expectations we had. My friend and I came for her birthday a week into their opening. We got seated right away and ordered drinks with the waitress. The drinks were probably the best thing we had all night but it did take about 20 minutes for them to come out. As it came down to place out order the waitress informed us that the sides that are listed with the entrees do not in fact come with the entrees and they are separate. We were both confused as the menu clearly listed the sides with entrees nor did it say with choice of or not included. Anywho, we ordered our food and sides and waited a while for this to come out as well. She had the carne asada rice and beans and I ordered the carnitas and beans. The carnitas were overloaded with onions and the beans were just okay. We decided to try the creme brûlée for dessert and this was a mistake. We waited about half an hour for the dessert to come out. Once we finally took a spoonful we discovered that the creme brûlée was raw as it was a soupy consistency. We asked for this to be taken back. The manager and chef came out and apologized for the wait and mistake which I appreciated. The bill came out to about $240 before tip for 2 people before they removed the dessert. Unfortunately, I will not be coming back as I would rather drive to Weho or BH if I'm going to be paying the same price. read more

One star for the decor. One star for the hostess, appetizer and one of our drinks (The Phoenix - smoky, spicy yumminess). Our hostess provided great service, and ended up becoming our bartender and waitress at different times throughout the night (we actually tried to find her at the end of the night to give her all of our tip, but no luck). Honestly, for such a hefty bill, I expected better. Should have read more reviews. Maybe it's worth it if you are just going for drinks, but just left me with a bitter experience to come back and try that (plus, so many other super tasty places in Southeast LA, that cost a third of the price). They really need better overall staff management and better food. I would recommend the Ahi Tuna Tower crudo, but everything else was eh - not bad, but also not great. I ordered the Enchiladas Poblanas - good flavor but lukewarm by the time they arrived at my table. My husband had the Steak Arrechera - cooked to his liking but lacked seasoning. The Poblano Mashed Potatoes were his fave part of the dish, but not sure the tiny portion is worth the $50 (you can order them as a side though). And again, for the price, eh doesn't cut it for us... no wow factor in flavor. Now, about the service, I think our actual waiter came by like 3 times: 10-15 minutes or so after we sat down to finally take our order (we made a reservation, and we still waited about 10-15 minutes to be seated) --- so overall, we waited about 20-30 minutes before our order was taken. Then, our appetizer came (no cocktails), then our hostess felt bad and went and made the drinks herself and brought them to our table (we had already finished our appetizer) and again the hostess passed by to check on us and went to the kitchen to find out what was taking so long, then food came 20-30 minutes later. Then, like almost when we were done, waiter reintroduced himself to ask if we needed anything and if we wanted dessert. He then disappeared and we waited about another 20-30 minutes until he reemerged to ask for the check. Hey, at least they were somewhat consistent with their wait time. To top it all off, we get charged a 3% surcharge to offset increased costs. Yeah, I've only seen that in Vegas. Then we made the big mistake of valet parking - $10.75 on top of tip. I don't mind paying (hoping the valet workers get paid higher than minimum wage) but be clear and have signage on the cost. Also, $10.75 to park my car a few stalls away (restaurant is in a sort of shopping center/mini-mall area, surrounded by parking spaces)? These unexpected charges were just plain tacky. I know they just recently opened, and I would normally give it another chance, but just too much of a gamble for the price. I so wanted to like this fine dining experience, but you don't get fine dining or or an exquisite experience for the price, in my opinion. In comparison to other similarly 'priced' dining in Los Ángeles, this place is a bit fraudulent. There are far better, you just gotta drive a bit to get to them (why I was so excited to have something like this nearby). And then there's those hidden fees and charges; it's just too much for me. read more

We decided to try this place last night. My overall experience was good, a nice environment, fancy decorations, comfortable atmosphere & good services. Also, delicious food and the variety of drinks were amazing with a great presentation. My observation was that importance to develop a better system when delivering food and beverage to tables. Many occasions we were asked if we had ordered x food or beverages interrupting our conversation, serves looked lost and continued asking other customers if that was their order. The restaurant itself was very aesthetically pleasing. The drinks were very good. I really enjoyed my veggie empanadas. My guava cheesecake was probably the best cheesecake I've ever had! My husband did not like his carnitas he ordered he said they were tasteless he ended leaving most of his plate. I am giving 2 stars for the service I received. I was seated immediately I did have a reservation though. As soon as I was seated I was offered water right away and after I got my water that was the last I seen of any servers for over 10 mins I had to stop someone to ask if anyone can take our drink orders and even after I asked I still had to wait another 5-10 minutes for someone to come take our drink orders. The server that came to take my drink order seemed like he was bothered that he had to come help me and he had a bit of an attitude . I don't remember his name he only took my drink order and someone else came to help me with my food order. Service was good at first, but then the server left us for a while. I saw staff bicker in front of our table. I originally had drinks at the bar before sitting for a 3 hour dinner. I left my credit card at the bar. I asked staff and the manager for help. Greg told me he would not be able to look for my card until after they closed and would call me the next day. WTF?! I mentioned I lived an hour away and his comeback was well. I live in Lake Forest and drive to work every day. Again, WTF?! I asked them to please check the bar and check the folio box for my credit card. He mentioned people have left their cards and it should be okay. I wasted 30 minutes standing there watching them walk around and do nothing. I leave and within 10 minutes. I get a call that they found my card. I go back again to the restaurant and the hostess hands me my card without even checking my ID. No apology, nothing. Very disappointed. It was my first time there. Came to Diosa for a date night with my girlfriend. Nice place and you are greeted immediately by their lovely hosts. We didn't wait long to be seated and they accommodated our request to be sat at a booth. It was pretty busy when we came. Our server Paulina came and greeted us and brought water and made suggestions what to order after she told us about the style of service And the type of food diosa offers. For starters we ordered their guacamole and chips and I ordered the ribeye parilla. My girlfriend ordered the enchiladas Del Mar. as for our drinks we ordered margarita flight, coco Chanel and tulum tulum. Food and drinks were great and we give that 4.5 stars. The one star unfortunately is for the owner. We witnessed her speak so rudely to her staff and as another business owner, I feel that you should treat your staff respectfully. Her actions just left a bad taste in our mouth and will not support a business who do not respect others. Especially if these people are helping you with your establishment.
