This was one of the few options we had for getting dinner when we came to town on a Monday evening…read moreto spend the night. Didn't know what to expect, but a high average rating on Google made it look like a good choice.
To start with the positive, the location is great, and the restaurant has a nice beer garden in the back right on a small creek facing a quiet park.
We ordered meals from the grill platter section. To start, this meant that we got to go to the salad bar with self service. We were hungry and the salad wasn't too bad, although there was absolutely nothing Greek about it. Rather, it seemed very German, with items such as sauerkraut. After finishing salad, we got our main course - the mixed grilled meat platters. These consisted of a lot of meat, served in layers with almost as much raw onion, and a little bit of tomato flavored (or colored) rice. The meat was dry, and some of it was also too salty. Again, there was little about the food other than the names on the menu that reminded us of Greece or Greek food. A sauce of some kind would have helped - we got non - but I can't think of any sauce that could have brought this dish up to 4- or 5-stars.
Other than that, the staff was friendly, although they let us sit and wait too long both to order food and to pay.
All in all, I would not recommend this place for food. Given the great location though, it would probably be a nice spot for a drink.
