Toddler's a big fan of dinosaurs! So we took him to Dinosaur World on a weekend. We found the parking spot right away. We entered the Dinosaur World and bought tickets from the counter. Dinosaur World was really cool. The dinosaurs looked so detailed and there were some really interesting facts about them. Plus, it was fun to take a walk through the area, surrounded by all the dinosaurs! They've got a great playground with different swings that my toddler loved. Plus, there's mini golf and other cool exhibits that keep everyone entertained.

We had hours to kill on our roadtrip and stopped in to have something to do and get some exercise after flying for a long time. The path is nice, the bathrooms and facilities were clean, and it's a great place for leashed dogs and for kids to play. The dinosaur statues were entertaining, and the museum is small but neat.

Amazing! I was thrown back in time and scared for my life! Great walk and full-scale Dino's. Kids will love it!

This location is just beautiful... we always go to the Texas location and this park is huge in comparison... the place is very taken care of. The kiddo loved it If you have a kid that loves dinosaurs... this is the place to take them.

I feel like this is an underrated park. Everyone I speak to is surprised how great it is. I appreciate that every time I visit there is something new. They are constantly updating and making it better. It's a great day trip with the kids or your favorite dinosaur loving person. If you can get the kids past the splash area and play ground there is a fossil dig. There are also lots of dinosaurs to explore and read up about. They added a train ride and the paths are smooth and perfect for a stroller.

I've always seen the huge orange trex from i4 and wondered what this place had to offer. Today, I decided to take my nephew on a plate date with another 3 year old who loves dinosaurs. The admission was $28 with card processing fees and I feel like the price should be half that, for what is offered. Dinosaur world is basically a playground with dinosaur statues. More animatronics and FOOD would bring it up from a 3 to at least a 4. They could also add small rides, or at least have the conductor for the train ride be interactive with the kids by pointing out the dinosaurs seen along the way and identifying them by name for the kids. As an adult, I'd give this place a 2 really but my nephew is 3 and he loves the place so that's why it earned 3 stars from me. The kid's opinion matters most. Also, parents and guardians BEWARE that as soon as u walk in, there is a gift shop. It is unavoidable and your kids WILL beg. Prepare yourself

If you've driven on I-4 between Orlando and Tampa, you have definitely seen the roadside attraction Dinosaur World. I've been wanting to visit since moving to Tampa years ago, and my wish finally came true. No regrets! Dinosaur World is a great place for kids and to enjoy the outdoors while learning about dinos. I suggest going during cooler months because the outdoor heat during summer is brutal. Bring sunscreen and BUG SPRAY. All of the activities are outdoors, except for 2 museum wings and the gift shop. There are two playgrounds, one for toddlers and one for bigger kids. They are building a splash pad, which I think will be a big hit during the hot months. Mini golf is included with your admission pass. You can buy tickets for the extra activities such as the Fossil Dig and Gem Excavation. The Fossil Dig happens at 4 different times throughout the day. You are given a sifter and a cup to hold the fossils you find. In the end, you take home 3 fossils and they are identified for you. The Gem Excavation happens in the water chute. You pour dirt in a sieve and sift away dirt until large gems remain. You can keep everything you uncover in your sieve. The back of the park has walking paths with the dinosaur models. If you don't want to walk, you can buy a ticket for a slow moving train ride that goes through the pathways so you can look at the dinosaurs. Children cannot ride alone, so an adult must purchase a ticket with young riders. Dinosaur World does not have a restaurant in the park, so you can bring your own food and drinks, or you can order pizza delivery from a local restaurant, Nick's Pizzeria. There are lots of picnic tables around the park, most under cover. Drinks and snacks are available in the gift shop, and they are reasonably priced for purchase. Overall, Dinosaur World was a fun outing for my family and our friends. It's easily accessible for Tampa and Orlando residents, and I think it's a "must visit once" if you're in the area.

Don't Fall for the Upgrade Scam (March 20) Our experience at the end of this otherwise cool place (with employees ranging from subpar to terrible) ruined our visit and left my daughter repeatedly asking "why can't I ride the train?", much like awful service at a restaurant with otherwise good food. This place is nothing short of a con. They pushed an "upgrade" package with zero transparency, conveniently omitting the fact that the main attraction--the train ride--can shut down at any moment without notice. No warning. No signage. No shame. And where's the train? Tucked away at the farthest corner of the park so you only discover the scam after they've already pocketed your money. When we arrived to the train stop, we were greeted by a sour, bitter old man who curtly barked that the train was closed--completely unmoved by the heartbreak on my 5-year-old daughter's face. He was cold, abrasive, and downright hostile. Frankly, someone that devoid of empathy should be nowhere near a family attraction--let alone children. I asked to speak with a manager, hoping for some level of accountability. Instead, I got a red-faced, deer-in-headlights kid named Arriana reciting a robotic, pre-packaged apology like she was reading off a teleprompter. Clearly, they've had this conversation a lot. Their insult of a solution? A laughable $15 store credit, which probably costs them less than a souvenir keychain. That's not customer service--that's damage control wrapped in corporate indifference. This place doesn't care about families, doesn't care about your experience, and certainly doesn't care about your kids. It's a business built on bait-and-switch tactics, condescending staff, and pathetic excuses. Skip the upgrade and save your money and your time. Or take your kids somewhere that doesn't treat disappointed children and ripped-off parents like just another line item on their refund script (we had a great experience at Glasier and the Florida Aquarium, where the staff genuinely loves making kids happy).

I am a huge fan of anything dinosaur related. I've loved dinosaurs since I was a kid. My boyfriend decided to take me to Dinosaur World as a gift and I was super thrilled to finally check it out! They have a gift shop of course with many dinosaur related items, including some dinosaur teeth and fossils for purchase. They also have a small museum area with fossils, some real and some casts, with a lot of cool information to read. The main attraction is walking through the park and checking out all of the dinosaur statues. There are lots of signs explaining which dinosaur is portrayed along with some facts about it. It's a nice place to walk around with lots of shady areas which I always appreciate. They have a playground for little ones and some interactive activities geared towards kids as well, so it's very family friendly for the little aspiring paleontologists in your life. I had a blast here personally and enjoyed bringing out my inner dinosaur geek! We spent maybe an hour-hour and a half here and I found it well worth it!

Do they have strollers?

No, you need yo bring your own stroller if you need one.

What age group would you recommend ? We have 2yr old and 13 yr old boys.

Baby to adult. My 11 year old nephew asked to go with us last time. My husband really enjoyed the museum area and my mom likes all the beautiful flowers. I think my kids were 2 and 15 when we went the first time.

I would like to take my son to Dino world can anyone tell me how are their prices on tickets and can u bring snacks inside?

Prices are very reasonable - adults are $17, kids are $12 and kids 2 and under are free. You are encouraged to bring snacks/lunch as there are no restaurants or snack shops. There are a few vending machines by the picnic tables, but other than that… Read more

My son loved mining for gems and he was able to keep all the gems and 3 of his favorite fossils from the fossil dig.

**INITIAL REVIEW**…read more The Robert W. Willaford Railroad Museum (which I will shorthand simply to RWWR Museum for the remainder of this review) has been on my "need to check out" historic places and museums around and about Historic Plant City for the longest time. Besides the fact I love trains, and that I now have a much bigger appreciation for them given the fact our primary means of transportation is automobiles on roads, this museum pulled the heart string for my love of treasure/scavenger hunts thanks to their Henry's Hidden Train Hunt. It took longer than I wanted it, but I was able to finally go to the RWWR Museum. Not only that, my aunt accompanied me. It is nice to have family actually want to join you in partaking in one of your admired hobbies and actually enjoy it. Though an address is provided, RWWR Museum is located on the Eastside of McCall Park, which is the park that is in the center of Plant City's Historic Downtown. Firstly, there is plenty of parking available just north of the RWWR Museum. Though it is the eastern-most part of the historic downtown area, that is fine to park there as the part of said downtown area that would be enjoyed by people, primarily tourists, is less than nine square blocks. Walking shouldn't be an issue if one is able to do so. The RWWR Museum is kinda small as its historic locale is the Plant City Train Station. There is only so much you can fit in such a small space, but they did a great job showing a lot with the little amount of space and resources they have. A caboose and steamer are available for viewing just outside of the museum, and inside, there are artifacts throughout the Florida Railway's history, as well as photo opportunities which my aunt and I partook in. There is also a small "gift shop" desk selling t-shirts, stickers, and other museum-branded items, and a small room showcasing "professional" model train designers and operators as they operate model trains for guests. Another note worth mentioning is the restrooms are clean and well-stocked (men and reportedly the women by my aunt). Also, the RWWR Museum also has a Little Free Library, so take that into account if you want to place or take some free books. NOTE: This Little Free Library is not an official Little Free Library by Little Free Library Organization, so they are not recognized by the Little Free Library App. Finally, Henry's Hidden Train Hunt must be discussed. There is a brochure with riddles that take you to locations all around and about Plant City's Historic Downtown and trivia questions one must answer at each location. There are 10 in total and each location gives you the answer needed for the trivia question. Bring back the completed brochure to the RWWR Museum during its hours of operation to receive a free gift for completion: A Henry's Hidden Train stamp lapel pin. Probably the only possible vice/criticism is the hours of operation which are Tuesday to Saturday, 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. only. At least admission is free with the option to donate to their cause and upkeep. Overall, this visit to RWWR Museum was everything I wanted and got. I learned more about trains, learned more about Florida's history with trains, enjoyed an adventure, and got free stuff, whilst being able to donate to a good cause. Add in the fact that despite all you can do, you can complete everything you want to do on your initial visit. Ergo, that is why the RWWR Museum gets five stars out of five stars, for me.

A nice selection of railroad items in the musuem. Handsome set of antique railroad buildings…read more Next to to a functional diamond crossing, Yay ! Unlike at Ocala, ( which as handsome buildings but no museum ), all tracks leading into this diamond look spiffy, whereas in Ocala one direction is tip top and the other live but decrepit. A nice elevated train viewing platform close by, all in all, a great stop for the train fans amongst us.

The Ashley Gibson Barnett Museum of Art, "The AGB" for short, is formerly known as the Polk Museum…read moreof Art (and probably what I'll always think of it as). The name change came with a huge expansion which allowed the museum to nearly thrills its exhibition and learning spaces. And let me tell you, going there pre- & post-expansion the difference is mind boggling. Polk County & Lakeland truly have something to be proud of with this museum. And the best part? Free admission!! I wasn't sure if it'd remain this way after their buildout but they are striving to keep it free for all to visit and enjoy. They have a really impressive collection for being a still smaller museum compared to the Met, Chicago Museum of Art or places like that. First, you walk into to see several Auguste Rodin sculptures, starting off strong. You can see Andy Warhol, an incredible mix of diverse artists from all over the world, and even a few Dale Chihuly blown glass pieces. It is all absolutely stunning. The AGB is a Smithsonian affiliate so they definitely have high standards. It's also located in such a great spot right off of Lake Morton next to the library & Lake Morton Black & Brew, the Peach House, Misterfish, and the newer MooTown Scoops. Whether you're feeling coffee, ice cream, drinks or actual food, it's all with a 3-4 minute walk right there. A great museum to visit!
