I felt compelled to write this after seeing the recent reviews targeting Tallulah. As a mother of a disabled son, I do not stay silent when I see kindness repaid with cruelty. We have been coming to Diner Luxe regularly for quite some time now, and Tallulah has consistently treated both me and my son with patience, dignity, warmth, and genuine compassion. It deeply saddens me to see people go out of their way to tear down a young woman who has shown nothing but kindness in my experience. As Christians, we are called to lead with mercy, understanding, and truth -- not bitterness. Acts 7:60 says, "Lord, do not hold this sin against them." I pray those spreading hatred find peace in their hearts and healthier places for their anger. Their slogan needs to be, "If we can make it homemade, we will!" To start I ordered the chicken and rice soup. It was super good and clearly, homemade. Oh! And only $5.00 for a bowl. Really!! Next we ordered a Reuben with extra crispy fries. They came out perfectly done with just the right amount of crispiness on the outside and tenderness on the inside. It also came with cole slaw, again, homemade The sandwich was served in seedless rye. When I asked the server, Sam, about where it was made he said it was brought in from a baker in NY. The corned beef was exceptional and, again homemade. The first thing you see when you walk in is their big dessert case. We didn't have room but we sure wanted to get something. When you go, mind your appetite. In other words, LEAVE ROOM. We will be going back, When I asked about where the desserts were made I was told that they are all made in premises, too! Surprise! Sam, our server was amazing. He made us feel like we were his only clients but without overdoing it. It's a nice place to sit and eat. It's so reminiscent of a classic NYC diner. I've passed by Dinerluxe building multiple times for the past 2 years when it was closed. Finally, they reopened in December, and I'm glad they did. The meal comes with a salad and bread. I started with French onion soup with a perfect amount of Gruyère cheese and a tasty broth. And for lunch, I've been craving comfort food and decided to try their meatloaf with mashed potatoes and veggies. The meatloaf was deliciously comforting. The texture was just right, with a nice balance between tender and hearty. The mashed potatoes with gravy complemented the meatloaf well. The veggies were fresh and well-seasoned. Highly recommend if you're in the mood for some classic comfort food! Service was excellent. The diner has a glitzy exterior but has a cozy atmosphere inside. Overall: I went to this retro style diner on a Sunday morning for brunch with a couple of friends. It was a little crowded and the hostess seemed overwhelmed, but we were seated within 10 minutes. Everything was solid and came in large portions. Our server was particularly friendly and helped us navigate the large menu. We'll be back! The corned beef was decent, but it was essentially a pile of shredded beef next to a pile of shredded potatoes. I expected them to be integrated better. The pancakes were a highlight - nice and fluffy. Drinks: We each got an iced coffee and a mimosa. The mimosas come as a giant glass of fresh squeezed orange juice and a full bottle of prosecco. Coffee was mediocre, but the orange juice was great. Service: Our waitress was incredibly friendly. She was attentive and helped us optimize our order for the most economical deal. Value: All in our meal came to ~$45 per person. We did order a couple of drinks each, but that seems very high for some breakfast foods. It was tasty and good portion sizes, but not priced for value. Atmosphere: The restaurant was huge and styled like an old school diner, complete with jukebox and claw machines. The jukebox was broken and some of the decorations come off as creepy though. We stopped by for a late lunch yesterday and had a wonderful experience. First off, this place catches your attention when driving by with its modern twist on a 50s-style Americana diner. While it's not a traditional diner car, it showcases the era's glitz, flashy décor, and chrome in a fresh, well-kept establishment. The staff was very friendly and courteous throughout our visit. Although we waited an uncomfortably long time from being seated to placing our drink order, we weren't in a rush, so it didn't detract too much from the experience. The menu offers a variety of classics--burgers, fries, pot roast, chicken and biscuits, and all kinds of sandwiches from a Reuben to a Cuban, along with plenty of breakfast options. Oddly, a simple grilled cheese wasn't on the menu, which struck us as a bit unusual. We settled on the Tex-Mex Chicken Sandwich, which came with a side of chili-nacho concoction, along with an order of mac and cheese balls and some fries. Everything was delicious! The sandwich was flavorful, and the chicken was cooked to perfection. The nachos did get a bit soggy from the grease and chili juices--but that wasn't necessarily a bad thing. The mac and cheese balls were perfectly cooked and hearty enough to be a meal on their own. The fries could have used a bit more salt, but that was an easy fix. This is definitely a place to try. It's conveniently located right on the main road with plenty of parking. The restrooms were clean and well-maintained--a worthy stop for any diner enthusiast. read more

My french onion soup was very good. My chicken quesadilla was so so. I like caramelized onion, BUT it made the quesadilla soggy. My husband had a corned beef reuben. He said it was very good. Recently we visited the Dinerluxe and we had such an exceptional dining experience. When you first enter the restaurant, you are greeted by the friendly staff. You immediately notice the beautiful homemade baked goods and inviting ambiance. Our waiter was attentive and friendly throughout our dining experience. The menu offers a wonderful variety of options for everyone to choose from. There are so many delicious options. Our food came out quickly, and was absolutely delicious!! The baked kefalatiri cheese with local honey, wrapped in filo was amazing, and I highly recommend trying this dish. We also ordered the grilled artichoke with garlic aioli, and not only was it beautiful, but was delicious. Everything we ordered was perfected cooked and flavorful. We loved the inviting and warm atmosphere of Dinerluxe, the variety of dishes offered in the menu and look forward to trying additional dishes soon. We had a wonderful dinner here last night. Meg was our server and helped us decide what to order off the huge menu. We got the greek salad with a side of spanakopita which was delicious - fresh and flavorful. My partner got Jambalaya which was also outstanding. It was loaded with big shrimp and chicken. To redeem you're supposed to show the offer to your server or any employee.. when we showed our waitress she said promptly said "NO", so I quietly put my phone down as I was a little embarrassed. The food was ok, a little too much salt in the omelette & hollandaise sauce. The chicken & cranberry wrap was mediocre, with way too much blue cheese. My daughter ordered scrambled eggs & pancake which was fine. During checkout, I showed the 10% off to the hostess who had to check with someone who had to check with the manager. They held my phone a good distance away from us discussing wether or not to honor it.. We did end up getting the discount but I'm hesitant to ever do that again.. it was so embarrassing... 3 cars in the parking lot should of been a sign, food took forever. A customer seated 20 minutes after us and he was regular got served his food before us, out of towners. I realized why my wife ordered Oatmeal and I believe the cook did not have any cooked ahead of time. It was bland probably cooked in water (cheap) and no flavoring was added to it. It seems they got rid of the nice large Coke glasses they had previously. The coke didn't taste the same either. Its a shame because we were going there almost weekly. Well, was I happy to see that the original owners have reopened the diner once again. This was my go-to place for many years until the new owners ran it into the ground. Welcome back Dino and staff! My friend and I had a lovely meal on Thursday evening and funny enough, we were escorted to the exact booth that we'd used for years! We love the Cobb salad and both ordered it. The salad was perfect, large enough for a full dinner and it was so yummy. The place looked wonderful, with the addition of some very nice pictures and memorabilia of movie stars from back in the day. Our waitperson, Allyssa, was very nice, attentive and took good care of us. Every person who works there had a smile on their faces and were very welcoming. Horrible. I don't know what is worse: the cheap, penny-pinching Greeks who own it ("Dino") or the young & very immature wait & hostess staff who work there. Despite the fact that we go to that diner (went, I should say) about 3x per week, we were dismissed today like our situation didn't mean anything to him (Dino). The table was not cleaned well the evening before & thusly this morning when we were there (early, around 7:45am), the table was loaded with chocholate syrup - it got all over my elbow of my brand new white hoodie - and then my calf was literally stuck to the face of the seat bench as someone, the night before, must have spilled a sticky soda & it was not wiped down. They have to check for those kinds of things when they "clean" but failed to do so. So I asked Dino to take my meal off of the bill - becausee he did not suggest it - and he was actually bothered by it! He begrudgingly did it but I had to press the issue. Bad enough, when my husband went up to him the first time, to ask for a wet cloth so that I could clean my soiled sweatshirt & wipe the table HE (Dino) should have cleaned the table of the syrup himself! Then, when I went up to him directly about the sticky booth he shrugged his shoulders and said: "things happen". Right - so things like losing good customers & bad reviews also happen, too. Jerk. Ate here recently. The waffles were delicious but the fried chicken was over cooked and way too much breading that held onto the oil. The toasted cheese sandwich with a tomato basil dip was really nasty. Why use processed oil slice cheese for a toasted cheese. That's just cheap and low quality. They really need to fix whatever septic issue they have. It smells awful in there and I lose my appetite every time I go. Breakfast is good but I wouldn't bother getting lunch or dinner unless you want rubbery chicken or something. Solid 3-star diner. Thanks to previous reviews I wasn't expecting a lot, but I went in hungry and came out... not hungry. Typical menu, huge and includes breakfast, lunch and dinner all day. The service was fast and friendly. I ordered the Reuben with corned beef (you have a pastrami option) and it was exactly as expected. Not that good, with far more sauerkraut than meat. The cheese and 1000 island sauce was unnoticeable, or maybe even missing. Anyway, it's a diner. It cures hunger without fanfare. If you're hungry stop in. DISGUSTING! So we've been here before a few times , and definitely the service and food have been on a decline. First it's been over a year that they have a sewer leak and still haven't fixed it. It's u sanitary and the scent carries through the diner especially if you're seated next to the bathroom. Food came and definitely not what it used to be. The onion rings I got were burnt, and I ordered the slovaki sandwich. $12.99 on the menu, receipt was charged $14.00. DinerLuxe is a beautiful place. Lovely decor. But in the restaurant and via GrubHub, we've had issues with quality of the food, mostly in how it was cooked. Tonight for example -- actually 3 pm so they can't be that busy. We ordered via GrubHub... our food arrived in a timely manner. However, most items were overcooked and dried out... the potato skins, the calamari and my husbands pot roast were pretty much inedible. The potato skins were so scorched the cheese was baked beyond recognition! My seafood trio was bland. Lemony which I like but no other flavors. The stuffed shrimp scallops and salmon all tasted the same. I definitely won't order it again. Very disappointed. We won't order there again. read more

They serve breakfast whenever they're open, and appear to have a well-stocked bar (never sampled it, I don't drink). The owners and wait staff are all very friendly. ABSOLUTELY AWFUL! This diner has dropped to a new low. We ordered the 1/2 sandwich, soup, and salad lunch special and received a luke warm bowl of soup and an ice cold sandwich that felt like it came out of the freezing cold fridge. The " toast" and the bacon was ice cold which means it was not freshly made. We complained and they brought another sandwich out and this time they nuked it and the bread was beyond soggy. Upon close inspection, there was a slimy clear substance on the turkey that looked weird. We were so turned off at this point that we were ready to go. I'm not one for leaving reviews but today's experience at this location was lackluster. When we arrived there was complete disarray, no organization at all, the host did an extremely good job at taking control of the situation and managed to get some form of order. We were seated soon after, only to be left waiting for around 20 minutes before our waitress came over to take our orders, we then waited a further 40 minutes for our food, waiting wasn't an issue as I had nothing planned for the day so that was okay. I ordered a toasted bagel with cream cheese amongst other things. I had never seen such little effort go into a bagel with cream cheese in my life, they literally put an entire block of cream cheese in my bagel and called it a day. When it came to the table, it was a joke at first and took an obligatory picture but then noticed there was a hair in between the bagel and cheese (I have a shaved head so it wasn't mine for sure) the waitress did not come back to check if the food was okay and it's not my job to flag them down to tell her there's a problem, as this was not the only food item I ordered, I wasn't too phased by it. Around 30 minutes later she came by and offered me a box for the bagel, I then explained that I wouldn't be taking it as it had a hair in it, she replied with "I wish you'd have told me sooner.." like I had a chance to.
