We have gone to the Dina Martina Christmas show at the ACT theater in downtown Seattle twice now. In 2022 and 2024. Both times it was a real treat! She is simply fabulous! It's such silly fun, with her funny takes on stories, new lyrics to known songs, and her extra special way of pronouncing certain words... It's just a wonderful time during a very stressful season. Dina and her pianist (so sorry, but I can't remember his name) are very polished at what they do, and the audience responds accordingly. It's simply great fun and I can't recommend it enough! read more

Funniest show I've seen in a while, Dina is truly a performer definitely recommend seeing her in ptown!

Not sure why Dina Martina gets so much flack on her Yelp entry. Maybe it's Pacific Northwest humor clashing with New England humor or perhaps that has nothing to do with it and people keep seeing a drag performer in which the delivery goes in a direction they don't care for. When I say a clashing of humor of the Northwest with the Northeast I'm saying this because Dina is actually from Seattle but does lots of shows in Provincetown, Massachusetts. It is true the two shows I've seen her perform in are different than a typical drag show. Lots of drag shows push towards R rated humor but with Dina... at least the last show I saw her in could almost squeak by with a PG13. There is subtly for naughtiness but it's very much innuendo. Dina's exaggerated make up that isn't anything like a Miss America contestant also seems to have irked a fee people too which is a bit baffling and humorous because exaggerated make up has been in drag for decades. Dina has quite a few songs during her shows that I've seen. I've seen her Christmas shows and that involves mash ups of various songs into one or singing classic Christmas songs to go along with her presentation. Out of the two shows I've seen it looks like Dina is coming up in the world. Compared to the first show she is getting a larger fan base, a bigger venue and a bigger budget for her shows. So despite some haters she seems to be getting more and more successful in a steady fashion read more

Dina Martina - Dina's Christmas shows were a much needed pick me up during the 2021 Christmas season. - Performing Arts Near Me - Provincetown, Massachusetts

If you appreciate whimsy and witty wordplay with a gay sensibility, and you haven't seen Dina Martina perform yet, you've heretofore been wasting your life. She is your eccentric aunt who shows up for the holidays and tells off-color stories before swan-diving into the Christmas tree drunk on Drambuie. She is not merely camp, but camp squared, blared, and shot out of a canon. She is an off-key symphony of fractious foibles and her own brand of fearless fabulosity. You either get Miss Martina or you don't. If you don't, she is either unbothered or blithely unaware. If you do, you'll count yourself a lucky lemming, content to leap off the cliff of her off-kilter imagination. read more

Worst show ever in San Diego. SAD show. 45 minutes of performance and 15 minutes of video. Late start and early ending.

She's the funniest person alive. One time I saw her in NYC and laughed so hard it hurt. She was amazing this year in Provincetown.

If you want a safe, entry-level drag show or what you see on Drag Race, Dina Martina is not the queen for you. Don't get me wrong: I love Drag Race and I love lip-syncing bar queens. But there's so much out there that doesn't fit the stereotype, and Dina is one of the very best. She's absurdist, ridiculous, twisted, probably certifiable, and very, very smart. Her satire is some of the sharpest I've ever seen. I don't even know who to compare her to, and neither do her celebrity admirers. I've been seeing her in Ptown every summer for more than a decade. She's my favorite drag queen ever, anywhere, but she's definitely not for everyone. If you want to laugh your ass off at jokes you don't expect and maybe have your expectations of drag and comedy challenged, run don't walk. See every queen in Ptown - they're all fabulous - but if you really love drag, you have got to see Dina Martina. P.S. If you want more traditional lip sync drag, try the Anita Cocktail Variety Hour or Illusions and support local queens. (Bring cash to tip!) read more

my husband and I bought the tickets without knowing Dina Martina. We both enjoyed the performance. Dina is a professional and it was so much fun. read more

Smart, unexpected, irreverent, absurd, intense, and finally, perhaps most importantly, inspirational - I'm thinking of changing careers and becoming an earthquake clown. We saw Dina along with a thoroughly packed house in The Falls at The Act theatre in Seattle. read more

The most awful drag show I have ever seen. Not funny. Can't sing. And I guess the point is supposed to be she's nothing to look at. Save your money. See anything else. 6 people walked out. To be fair, the two people I went with thought it was hysterical. I just didn't get it read more

New convert as of 2019. I was shocked to read the reviews here! What a totally different experience people have! It's obvious that there is a reason the reviews are either five star or one star. Either you get this type of humor or you don't. Just because you don't get it doesn't mean it's bad. It just means you don't get it. This ISN'T a drag show; it would be wise not to compare it to one. It's first and foremost a comedy show that brilliantly uses satire for most of its humor. If you want a drag show, this isn't it, and it's silly to expect it to be something it isn't. Go to any bar and see a drag show if that's what you want or are expecting! They're a dime a dozen and you'll only have to invest the two drink cover and a few bucks for tips to slip under garter belts. (Yawn.) Don't get me wrong, I like drag shows, but I've seen a ton of them. This is something else. It's one of the most unusual and brilliant comedy shows I've ever seen. I laughed so hard I was crying. It hurt to breathe. I remember seeing George Carlin in the mid 90's and laughing like this. The humor relies heavily on your knowledge of what the performer is satirizing. If you don't know the reference it may not land for you. The character of Dina fundamentally satirizes drag itself and some people don't get it or can't appreciate that aspect. For those of us who DO get it, it's wickedly funny on a whole different level. I've never seen anything like it. This kind of smart humor and satire is pretty rare. It's so unusual, the show is famous for being indescribable. If you come expecting a "drag show" you will be disappointed. Expect satire that is so bizarre and out there it's almost like a really hilarious hallucination being spun up by a crazy mind. The unique factor alone makes it five-star stuff. It takes tremendous skill to write and perform at this level. What looks uncrafted or unpolished has been carefully designed and executed to appear that way as part of the satire. This extends to the dialogue, the costumes, the hair and makeup, the choreography, everything. Dina makes it look SO easy, but anyone who's ever performed comedy knows how goddamn hard it is. I will go see her every chance I get! It felt so good to laugh my ass off! read more

Well, within the first 5 minutes of the show we were all warned: there will be no themes, continuity, or cohesiveness throughout any of the "performance" that will follow. And damn, did she deliver! If you're going to shell out $30 (and a now a $33.50 fee if you pay with a credit card) you expect something a little more for live entertainment. The thing that is painfully annoying is that Dina Martina's unique brand of idiot humor can actually be entertaining if you approach it with the right mindset: just laugh at the ridiculousness of life because there's just so much craziness and BS in the world. But the thing that separates truly great entertainers and comics from the rest, the ability to read an audience, interact with them, and have some witty comebacks to heckles and playful banter is precisely what Dina Martina sorely lacks. You walk away with the feeling that you just watched a movie and not a live performance. Part of this is stems from the fact that a good 40% of the show is actually pre-recorded video. Ok, we get it. It's a one man act and you need time for costume changes. But damm girl, put some effort into it! It looks like some of these outfits came from a drunken shopping trip to Goodwill. And if these costumes actually served to advance the content of the act or built up to some witty punchline, then fine. But there was no denouement or satisfying conclusion to the f'ing mystery of why she pranced around the theater with a Madonna-esque cone shaped rat head bra covering her titties while she clanked on metal salad tongs to the beat of some song she butchered beyond belief. Why, why, why?! And let's bring up some of the unique mispronunciation issues she has with the hard and soft G's. Were these unique ways of saying things in some attempt to make her sound more European/sophisticated that would further develop her character? No. Because if they were it failed miserably and only served to confuse the audience. At one point this one woman vacationing all the way from Finland sitting next to me tapped me on the shoulder and said, "Oh I get it now, she's supposed to be a mentally challenged person!" No honey, it was just one big crap pie of a show and we're not getting our money back. Summer 2019 update: still the same shit pie of a show... read more

Not for ANYone! Hey, I love campy drag queens with irreverent humor but the Dina is just plain BAD. She starts her show singing and although it is supposed to be funny because she is such a bad singer, it gets old REAL fast. Actually painful to watch and for $26 a head? She did say some clever things but relies on some creative but silly talking head video of herself waaaaaay too much. Save your time and money folks, should have seen Thirsty Burlington instead at the Post Office Cabaret. read more

This was the absolute worst drag show I have ever experienced, not funny, not talented, made tacky look good, bad costumes, makeup and wigs. Loud obnoxious and a wasted hour, saver your money and time, Crown & Anchor get rid of this awful show read more

This is an absurdist type of humor. Loosen up and let Dita subvert your expectations. I found this show to be quite funny.

Dina is not for everyone. The Dina Martina show is hilariously horrifically funny. The most original drag show I've ever seen. You can't describe it you just have to see it. Dina brings a warped scary imagination to life and shares it with the audience with abandon. We saw her two nights ago and are still laughing. If Divine was alive today she would be learning from Dina Marina! read more

Huge fan. If you want the typical glam impersonation kind of drag show, this isn't it. Dina is witty, weird humor, questionably talented singing, and crazy enough to make you laugh your head off. Drop your expectations of what drag is supposed to be, sit back, and let Dina bring you on a whacky adventure! read more

Dina Martina - Performing Arts Near Me - Provincetown, Massachusetts

The Divine Miss Dina has started another season off with a bang, with a fabulous show that never lags - more songs, more horrifying fashion choices, and, of course, more jifts. Highlights? It's all a haze, but out of Dina's special kind of demented glamour, I would have to pick her unique mashup of "Fever" and "No Scrubs", along with her second-act, born-again deconstruction of "Hey Ya." Don't say you haven't been warned - an evening with Dina Martina is one to savor and dread in equal parts, but always with the guarantee that you will be deeply amused and never, ever bored. read more

Dina is for EVERYONE! Truly one of the best shows I've ever seen and I've seen THREE shows. Okay, I've seen more than THREE shows, I've seen...many, let's just say many shows in my life, which is a lot, after all I'm almost 18. Okay I'm older than 18, let's just say many, many years older....go see Dina and afterwords you will want to hunt me down to thank me. I look forward to meeting you. read more

Very clever, intentional hilarious mispronounciations, 30 rock level mix of camp and cleverness, loved it so much, saw it twice. They were different shows. The one from last year featured hilarious weird old timey commercial with Dina's bestie Doreen who was basically a hilarious puppet. This year, it featured a hilarious earthquake clown story but a missed opportunity to sing "Send in the clowns." read more

The show was poorly executed, it really was bad. The show was just painful to watch, the singing was way to much. Try telling just stories, this works. Would not recommend seeing it to anyone. Mrs. Richfield lot more funny, save your money to see her. read more

We go to a show every year in Provincetown and this was one of the only times that it was a disappointment. It's just not funny and the video clips that had her face edited in were cheesy and went on too long. The bad singing went on too long. At one point she stopped to eat spaghetti and that wasn't funny either. She did a brief schtick about global warming - that was pretty good and she consistently mispronounces words which was clever. Overall, completely NOT worth the money. I hope Cashetta will be back in Provincetown next year. read more

Saw the show in Provincetown at the Crown and Anchor with my husband! What a hot mess! Save your money! Walk away. I told the guy out front it was awful. He said it is sophisticated humor, I think he was on something! Dina Martina was literally awful looking and horribe...on purpose. Go see Mama Tits at the Post Office Cafe for a truly amazing drag show instead! read more

Love her or hate her, just see her and form your own opinion. Then shove it down everyone's throats on social media.

Sheer genius ... It's a smart and gut busting funny show ... Every year it's funnier and funnier ... She takes drag and turns it on its ear - it's like she's a John Water's character from one of his films ... Completely unaware that she is a tragic mess between her under fitting garments and multiple octaves bad singing voice ... Everything hurt after seeing her I was laughing so hard ... GO GO GO SEE HER .... read more

Not a fan. Always try a new performer each year and this year was a bust. She never connected with the audience. Perhaps it was an off night but I can't recommend her show. read more

Dina Martina is in a class by herself! Have seen her every summer for years, and I am always sore from howling with laughter the next day. Smart, twisted, manic, and strangely sweet - there's nobody out there like her! read more

Off the Charts! This was a great cabaret show. One hour of hilarity with no lulls. Six friends and I laughed ourselves silly. Ms. Martina is certainly gifted (with a soft g). read more

A good comic performance artist will be loved by some and alienate others. That's a sign their comedy is specific. Dina Martina is specific, and I've loved every moment of every show I've seen of hers, in Seattle, NYC, and as of a week ago, Provincetown. You will too! Or you might not! Go anyway! How can you not love her deer in headlights/full frontal glamour in her Yelp profile pic?! read more

I've seen Dina twice so far, and I'm making another trip to P'town this year- specifically to see Dina again. Dina makes me laugh so hard my eyes water, and I fear I might choke- it's all I can do to keep from falling off my chair into the aisle. If you are looking for a slick female impersonator who takes themselves seriously (a bit absurd, no?) and sings on key then please look elsewhere and don't pan this hysterical act. Dina's humor is camp, abject art, and dare I say, a bit postmodern: as in seriously self satirizing. OMG- the dress that doesn't zip over a hairy back and bursting into Piano Man! I nearly peed my pants! Huzzah! read more

I have never been so entertained by someone. I want to go back with her to Seedle (Seattle) and live in Dina Martina's world. I feel very sorry for the peeps who don't enjoy the Dina Martina experience. Anyone reading this review would be wise to watch her youtube videos before purchasing a ticket and showing up and expecting a typical campy drag show. This has been the highlight of my trip to ptown and I am still laughing, remembering the performance many days later. read more

We saw the Dina Martina show (Fine Avec Me) and had an amazing time. She's absurd, a little scary and very VERY funny. There was the perfect balance of (terrible) songs, (frightening) stories and (disturbing) videos. We're looking forward to next year or the next city she is in. read more

This was by far one of the worst drag performances I've seen to date. If watching a tone deaf performer with a fake lisp and penchant for uneducated quips is your idea for a good time then by all means pay $26. But if you want to actually be entertained then go elsewhere, at least 30-40% of the show is a video of her talking on screen about absolutely nothing, there's a jeopardy portion that's funny.... For only 30 seconds, but then goes on for ten agonizing minutes. Additionally, the waitstaff is very rude and undeserving of any praise, or tips. read more

Dina is ALWAYS funny. I laugh from the first word she utters. Can't wait to see this year's show in P-Town. I can see why some people don't get it - it's OK - WE do. If you like the Far Side and black humor, go see her! It's other-worldly! read more

I just wanted to see one of the crazy drag shows P-town is famous for, and had no idea what to expect. Truth be told, I'd never been to a drag show before. To call Dina Martina a drag show is to call Michael Jordan a basketball enthusiast. This was the funniest god damn show I've ever seen. Stop Netflixing, get off your butts and see it. You won't be sorry. read more

Avoid this show at all costs. I thought this show was horrible, although people in the audience were laughing. The act is dressed up in strange outfits, and basically re-writes songs (badly and not funny) and mispronounces words much to the hilarity of the audience. Two audience members are used on stage- again watching paint dry would be better. Well I have warned you. I saw Ms ritchfield the night before who was a MILLION times better. Go see the local drag act anywhere for free and you would have more laughs. read more
