However, from my very first meeting with George I felt at ease as I could tell that not only would he fight for me, but that he had the skill to do so successfully and I was right. George is extremely thorough, knowledgeable and prepared, and his awareness of a newly passed local law helped tremendously in my defense. My charges have been resolved and if it were not for George's proficiency in law and steadfastness in advocating for me I am not sure that would be the case. I was impressed to find an attorney who was not only tenacious in his approach to law but also easygoing, compassionate and reassuring. I was a wreck during my case but George's warm demeanor always made me feel at ease and able to voice my questions and concerns to him free of judgment. He is an excellent and reliable communicator, was straightforward about all the possible outcomes of my case, and always responded promptly whenever I needed to reach him. If you need a diligent and adept criminal defense lawyer in the Santa Cruz area who truly cares about making sure you receive a favorable outcome in your case and will do whatever it takes to make sure of that, look no further than George Gigarjian. I cannot thank him enough for all that he did for me.

Was the head of the local Bar association, so that is a plus. Helped me with a grave case during the pandemic; I was unable to dump some lunatic tenants. You are a lunatic if the rent is low with a good maintained home, and you allow your five dogs to crap up the whole territory for five months at a time and expect and imagine other tenants want to step and smell the stench. Lunacy. As she was going nutty on me, her spit got on my face which then was the opportunity to kick her out on her butt. Sheriff want to fly up my mountain to cite her. I did not want that on her record. Now I have a more grave issue with a section 8 man on SSI and who bangs on the shared wall terrifying single mother and youth, and shouting outside like another lunatic I have to deal with. Attacked me verbally for enforcing pulling weeds as mentioned in lease. If he hears tiny dogs bark for even a few minutes, he is out in the garden bellowing. He came from a monastery and thinks ordinary family noise are intolerable and wants total silence. But the funnest part is this tenant insists on paying cash in a mail box down the road where it gets stolen ALL THE TIME, and I never use, and somehow wants me to go up and down the road on rent day until he is in the mood to deliver the rent. Go pray elsewhere and stop terrorizing women and children. But apparently you can only use the lawyer referral system only once. I usually can terminate on my own unless the person has violent and aggression issues, then I do need a lawyer. I will serve and see how he responds without a lawyer as I cannot afford one. I have stalled since May, but now that he has involved pounding on a wall where youth live, my foot will be arriving at his bottom soon so the kids can calm down and live in a safe home and I can work on my land to make it firewise, without the threat of this man exploding on me. I hide now in my home, and it angers me as I am also semi bed ridden for 30 years, a adult orphan, as we are called, for this tenant to refuse to go, when he is causing chaos as he prays to his god. But if I did have money; this lawyer would be my choice.

When interviewing, I asked if they had experience supporting people with trauma and they said that it was "Trisha's specialty." This divorce wasn't the only thing going on in my life, I was managing the sudden death of a family member and a health scare at the time. The staff was receptive and courteous in the beginning but after a couple months there was a misstep by their office about filing paperwork. It felt like they had more clients than they could handle. It set off some miscommunication in email and that was the sudden end of it. The conversation was handed over to Jennifer and she was quickly defensive and dismissive. Her emails were harsh. She notified my ex's lawyer that she wasn't going to be representing me anymore and I started fielding his calls again. I'm sure trauma and abuse come up in a lot of cases for them. It's a tough line of work. I just don't think it really clicked for them how much I was going through at the time. I had very limited interactions with Jennifer up until the termination and the treatment I got was not trauma informed. If you have a lot going on like I did, I wouldn't go with this office. It's not a compassionate place.

One that is unfamiliar and structured in such a way that it's almost impossible to navigate on your own. So if you find yourself having to enter into this system with a deeply emotional or traumatic situation on hand the pressure to have a wider perspective on how that system works is essential! That's where Jenn McCabe came in and completely changed the trajectory of my case the moment she took it on. She goes above and beyond to do whatever she needs to do to give you the best fighting chance in court. Before I had Jenn I had so much anxiety entering the court room. After having her as my advocate she represented me in court better then I could have ever done and I finally got the justice I deserved. This brought down my anxiety and kept me safe knowing someone else I could trust was representing me and presenting my case the best way possible. I've had an ongoing custody battle for over 2 years now and after hiring Jenn and her team I was able to attain full custody of my son and child support. Bottom line if you're looking for a highly competent, experienced and hardworking lawyer you can be assured that Jenn will meet all your expectations and more. I am beyond grateful for her guidance and level of professionalism. She's the real deal and very pleasant to work with, down to earth and passionate in what she does. I was told that I would need a consultation, so I pay the fee to talk on the phone with Mr Lodge for that consult. Durning this time I filled Mr. Lodge in on what was going on in my marriage from my side of the view. He ask several financial questions before advising me on what I should do moving forward. He explained to me that I need to keep my cool in all hostile situations where my wife would be trying to push me to do something physical that I didn't want to do. During our conversation I spoke about wanting to obtain him as my lawyer so I could move forward with my divorce. The cost to do such, was a $6000 dollar retainer fee that I paid on October 3rd after a major incident happened at my house where my wife left me no choice but to file for divorce. I paid the $6K and then proceeded with helping me file the divorce paperwork. I send the paperwork back to Mr. Lodge who filed the petition. It wasn't accepted so he refilled it back out and signed my name and submitted it again. He reach out later to tell me it was done and how to serve her the proper papers. During my consultation we spoke of my case in great detail, then after the paperwork was filed he pushed me into allowing him to become the mediator in our divorce. I didn't understand why he wanted to do this but thought it wouldn't hurt. I later thought about all the things I disclosed to him during and after our consultation and started to wonder if my Spouse knew he had given me strong advice on how to hold my cool in situations where she is verbally abusive and or blacked out drunk, where she is trying to get a reaction out of me. After we spoke a few times on the phone and he negotiated his way from the attorney I thought I was retaining to the mediator he told me not to tell my spouse of our past conversations where I had disclosed private matters of this case from my point of view. All in all, I don't want to have a mediator and now when I ask for a refund, he doesn't respond to me at all. This is very unprofessional in my opinion. I will not be using him moving forward no matter what. Im trying to get him to refund my money as he has done nothing to earn it and now that he has treated me in such a manner, I don't want to work with him at all. Please advise on how to handle this situation. Thank you.
