We have been here several times. When you call they tell you up front that it is cash only and a minimum of 12 pints for $30 for delicious non-GMO organic blueberries! They give you a great reusable tote and 12 plastic one pint containers to package your blueberries as you go. Nothing gets crushed or damaged. What a deal. Parking is easy and close to where you are picking and farm is very clean and super easy to pick the blueberries! You can also buy blueberry bushes that are a good size with blueberries on them for $15. We've already bought 4 that are full of berries.

I ordered 15 three year old plants that were supposed to be 4' tall. "Due to covid" they shipped me a box of stems with all the foliage cut off. They will probably still grow but no warning was given prior to ordering. See attached pics for the box that arrived Edit 27April: They all survived and are beginning to send off sprouts. Added a star because they lived and look strong.

Company stinks....I order five plants and two were sickly when they arrived. Paid @ $75 with shipping and such. When I called the quick response is we don't do anything if your plants don't make it. What if you send me dead plants? Not my problem! That was not the attitude when I was buying.....oh they had all the time in the world to help me write my check. STAY AWAY FROM THESE GUYS.....customer service sucks and they don't care. Bottom line I paid $75 for three skimpy plants....what a deal.....for them! read more

Third year coming for PYO at DiMeo and this was the best picking yet!! This farm is beautiful and the berries are the best we've ever tasted. Make a reservation, be on time, cash only, $20 for 12 pints. We bring a cooler filled with ice in the back of our truck to transport them back to PA. We intend to come back for many years! Love this place! read more

This is my first negative review and I wish I could give zero stars. We drove an hour to the farm after reading on the website that bushes can be purchased without an appointment. Prior to this afternoon, we have picked our own blueberries at DiMeo for the past 3 summers - each time, we had a wonderful experience and enjoyed delicious berries. Today, we pulled up to find a closed gate, so we called the number on the posted sign and the owner who answered the phone was one of the most rude humans I have ever encountered. He told us he was looking at us on the surveillance camera, yelled at us repeatedly, wouldn't let us communicate our intention, and hung up on us numerous times. I have rarely encountered someone so rude, short tempered, and off-putting. We will NEVER return and will be cautioning everyone we know to avoid this farm at all costs!!! Absolutely horrible customer service. read more

I've rode past the farm with friends many times on the bike and was always curious about it. My new guy and I went on a date there to pick blueberries. It was a very casual date, lol. We had so much fun though. The farm was peaceful, the music was relaxing, the stream out back was so beautiful, and the blueberries were delicious! The owners were nice people too. Can't wait for my guy and I to go back again this year, perhaps on our 1 year Anniversary. read more

My wife and I just drove from Philadelphia to buy blueberry bushes. Apparently you need to buy at least five, and you aren't allowed to speak to the workers who speak Spanish, and it's a drive through business only. We'd gotten out of the car and our three kids were enjoying the beautiful day and were running around. We had gotten done choosing five blueberry bushes and were talking about getting two blackberry canes or a blackberry and raspberry and were trying to ask if they need two to cross pollinate. Some white dude came out and forced the Spanish speaking worker to stop talking with us and after a super painful conversation about what we wanted, were we "all set" to leave, took away the bushes we'd already chosen. He claims that our trip here was "staged." I don't even know what the heck that means. As we sat off this Farms property to find a different place to buy plants from we watched the guy from Guatemala gather his things and get into a truck and drive away when no other workers did. I have a strong feeling he was fired. I'm not sure if this white dude has a mental illness or just is high on the smell of himself. Don't waste your time here. Oh, if you can stomach our experience and still want to buy here, remember to bring cash and in small enough bills if you need change. read more

My husband and I were the couple who asked the variety of the blueberries we were going to pick today. DiMeo would not give us a simple answer, instead he yelled he had no time and threw our $20 back at us. He also said if he tells us we might compete against him growing our own blueberries. Nelson W. was referring to us in his review. DiMeo should not be in the retail business dealing with people. read more

So, I called this morning & asked if they still had the advertised blueberry bushes for $10. They said yes, 5 minimum, cash only. Ok, I drive there, stop in the drive where indicated & a worker came up & asked what I wanted. Told him 5 plants & hand him $60..he starts shaking his head, "no change, you want another plant?" I said no, just the 5, and 10. change. He kept repeating if I wanted another plant because he didn't have change. I asked if I could leave the plants & go get change down the road. It became obvious that he didn't understand or speak much English because he then whips out a walkie talkie & hands it to me. I told the person on the radio that I just needed change or I could leave & get change. He started hollering " we're busy here!!( no other customers there) we dont have time for back & forth!! Either take 1 less or 1 more plant-thats it! & hangs up!! Now I turn to the helper & said, I thought it was a minimum of 5, so take 1 back & here's $40. At that moment, some guy come towards me yelling" dont touch the plants" & grabs the $40. From the worker & reaches up to close the back of my SUV., still repeating " don't touch the plants!! We dont have time for this! " to which I replied, you are so rude I'm surprised you are still in business!! Give me back my $... So I went down on the White Horse Pike & bought 2 blueberry plants ,which is all I wanted in the first place, from a nice lady named Zora Alfonso at Waretown Farms. So endeth the lesson....p.s. I rated it 1 star because zero stars was not an option. read more

I don't think they deserve 1 star! The owner is rude and mean. I have never had anyone talk to me on the phone like he did! We ordered 5 blueberry plants and I called to check the status of our order. The web site is beautiful. Beware! Will never do business with them again! read more

My kids and I came late in the afternoon for blueberry picking. We called ahead, and were told that as long as we arrived by 5:30, we could pick, as well as the price ($20 for 12 pints, cash only) and to bring bags to carry pints home. I found this all very helpful, and we drove over an hour from PA, and arrived at 5:00. There want anyone in the stand to greet us, and I didn't see a way to call to anyone, so I called the number from my cell phone. The woman talked to before said she would send someone out. A man came out, gave us our pint containers, explained where we could pick and gave us a quick explanation of their berries- heirloom, organic, delicious. He even invited us to rest in the shade of the picnic grove after picking if we needed to cool off- it was a 96° day!! We went on our way and started picking. The bushes were loaded with ripe, beautiful berries. Relaxing instrumental music played over the fields, we quickly picked our 12 pints, and the took a walk down to the creek to check it out. It looked like the perfect place to have a snack or picnic, and we will bring something to eat next time we visit. All in all, a wonderful experience, and the blueberries are delicious! read more

I took a chance on unknown business. Let me say I will never do business with the company again. After cashing my check they refuse to send the bushes until after Memorial Day because it is inconvenient for them. No wonder they only will take a check to be cleared, very unprofessional. When I explained that I had other commitments and need them to send the plants this week, A week after the check cleared, they said it was not their problem of other people lifestyle. I find this a very very bad way of doing business, I should have known better at their unprofessional web site, with no shopping cart. I urge caution for anyone using this company. Should I not receive the correct amount and no later than the 1st of June, I will be filing against them. Montana Lass Farm read more

I took a chance and brought along my service dog to their u-pick the other day, and thought it might be a problem when we got there cause most places don't allow dogs in the field, but the owner came out to talk to us, he was very nice and said that they are animal friendly and to let us take our dog picking with us out in the fields. After about 20 mins, a girl from the check-out stand walked out with a little plastic bowl with some water and put it under a tree for him to drink. It was so nice of them to do. We will be back again. read more

Like others who claimed here, I wish I had read the negative review. This is probably one of the worst experience. If you want to your day ruin, go visit. When we arrive at the place, there was a sign about 600 ft from the house that says, Stop here & honk 3 times which we did. A minute later 2 farm workers approach our vehicle and me and my wife get out to greet them, tell them we here to buy plants. Then, suddenly we heard a guy yelling at us from the window of the house, " What do you want! " . I replied, " I want to buy some blueberry plants"....., Him, "Cash Only!....I don't take credit-cards, checks, @#$%*&*^!, Do you have cash?!!!"........ Very harsh... Me: "no problem, I have cash!"...... Him: " how many do you want ? " Me; 2,3,4...." Him, " minimum is 5, don't you know? "....., then he starts waiving at the workers to go back. " Go back to your....( whatever? I don't remember what he said )", " They are cheap! " he yelled to them from his window. These immigrant workers apparently were afraid of their nasty boss, and so they turn around. You can tell they were scared. And I was like whats going on.... Him, to us again; " you are cheap!, a cheapskate!, GO!" then slam his window. WTH! Shocked! All this happened in less than 2 minutes from when we got there. This guy is totally deranged! We will never go there again even if you pay us to. read more

Worst Plants, Service & company that I have ever dealt with. Where to start, Shipping charges are outrageous, they ship almost dead plants, only accept checks because they probably would go out of business if they accepted credit cards because of all of the charge backs they would have. Anyway, I couldn't be any more dissatisfied with the plants I received and their responses. read more

Rude. Demeaning on the phone. Price gouging on shipping. Ordered 50 plants and I'll be lucky if 10 of them make it. Worst quality product and service I have experienced and I would never recommend. Been ordering bare root stock for 20 years and I actually run an internet business. I know quality and I know good service. They are neither. If you buy from these guys you deserve what you get. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THESE PEOPLE I purchased 5 3 year old blueberry plants from Dimeo at 10 bucks a piece and paid nearly $40 for shipping. I received what looked to me like one plant. I called and left 2 messages to about the missing plants and never got a call back. I called again today and they answered. Before I could fully explain the situation Mr. Dimeo cut me off and told me I was liar. He assured me he packed packed the plants himself and that I was attempting to get 4 free plants out of him. He screamed at me for a good 5 minutes and informed me that I was a horrible actor because I was way too calm for the way he talking to me. I couldn't get a word in and eventually hung up. Later he contacted me via facebook and told me that what I thought was one plant was really five. I asked why he charged 40 bucks for shipping and got no response. I can honestly say that I have never been spoken to the way he spoke to me. Worst customer service experience ever and I'm now out 89 bucks. read more

It's looks by reading he previous posts, that this guy ( the owner) needs to learn how to treat people. He is completely and utterly rude and disrespectful!!! Today, I was driving with my husband and my two young children. We thought maybe we would stop and pick some blueberries on this beautiful day. Well that was a huge mistake!!! My husband pulled in around the horseshoe and let me hop out and find the details as to cost and whatnot. A man (who I later found out was the owner)came out and was yelling at me and my husband. "That is not a parking spot, that is not a parking spot." I tried to yell him that he was just letting me out to get the details, he wasn't staying there. The owner continued to yell, I told him I just wanted to find out the details about picking the blueberries. he said in a very snarky way as he was continuing to chase down my husband, "what do you want to know it's a farm a blueberry farm we are an organic farm, 12 pints for $20 cash only. now where is he going, he really wants me to chase him, this is my property, my rules!" All of this was going on, yelling back at me while chasing my husband around the horseshoe. My husband stopped and I quickly ran to him. My husband had no idea that the man was chasing him, Two women and their kids saw me and said this is exactly what is written on the reviews!" As I got to the car, the owner came running again and yelling as he was taking out his phone. He kept yelling," these are my rules, my business, my property." Well great, you just lost a lot of customers, there was absolutely no need to treat a person/ people like that. Please think twice about giving them your business. read more

I want to express my opinion of dimeo farms. My friend and I went this past Monday 8/6/2018.A man of the site received us with a very ugly attitude. We want to know what the process was like, because it was the first time we want to pickup blueberries. He told us he was in a hurry that there was no one in the office. That he didn't have time, that he had a lot of paperwork to do in his office. We waited for him a few minutes because he went on his Van to talk to some people in the field. He return and with and attitude he explain quickly how much it cost and where to go. We paid. And before we walk to the field I told him to next time be more polite. My opinion over all this experience this man was discourteous, impolite with us clients. Need to have a better customer service... read more

Excellent place for an outdoor wedding!! A girlfriend of mine got married there a few months ago and so many who attended said what a wonderful time it was--the food was delicious and the staff went out of their way to help in any way they could! We found the same level of service when we attended the practice ceremony for a practice run before the ceremony and reception took place. They were excellent with communication in the months leading up to the wedding and had no problem allowing us to set-up a day ahead of time. An awesome location for photos for a wedding or any other outdoor event. Lots of people bought plants and berries too!! A couple of the owners stood out along the road the entire time and welcomed everyone. They were very friendly. read more

Google "Daves Garden" for dozens of terrible reviews on this place! BEWARE. I chose this family farm to buy some blueberry plants. Big mistake. I understood when they required me to send them a check for $75 and wait for it to clear before they would ship my plants. Perhaps people have ripped them off in the past and they have a right to protect themselves. I prepared my garden and enriched its soil while I waited for my "3 year old, up to 4 feet tall" bushes to arrive. They were a very fair price at $10 each and the $25 shipping fee was also reasonable. Wow. My shipment arrived in a package no bigger than a shoe box! To add insult to injury, the box was labeled $10 PREPAID SHIPPING (when ordering on the phone I had asked very specifically if the extra $25 I was being charged was only the shipping cost and was assured that it was). Inside were 5 bare root plants that measured no more than 16 inches and were as big around as a toothpick. None were labeled as to their variety nor was there any invoice or packing slip to speak of. I went about planting them in the pre-selected areas of my garden but just had to guess as to whether they were the kind that mature to more than 5 feet tall or perhaps they are full size at only a foot tall. No way to tell. Once planted, I emailed the farm to express my disappointment in the size and quality of the plants and ask for an explanation for their shipping fee. I got no response. I sent a second email which was also ignored. Regretfully, I decided to let the matter go. I was attentive to my new plantings and monitored their water and the ph of their soil. Winter came, then Spring. I shouldn't have been surprised to find that all but one of the plants were dead. So much effort, care and money wasted. I sent DiMeo farm another email explaining the situation and including my previous two emails which had gone unanswered. I sent a 4th email with a "read receipt" request so at least I would know that someone was reading them. Nothing. I called the DiMeo farm twice last week and asked for the person in charge but they said there wasn't anyone; left my name and number but no return call. Today when I called them and insisted that someone address this matter the girl on the other end of the line instantly turned into a computer voice reading their no refund policy to me in a monotone voice despite the fact that I declined her offer to do so saying it was not necessary. Next she hung up on me. Looking at their other negative reviews, I now realize that their mail-order side of the business is a total scam put in place to supplement their income from their "pick your own berries" business. This family has been in the game too long. They've gotten lazy and spoiled on the backs of the previous generation, they don't want the public on their property but know they have to play nice and tolerate us to keep the money coming in. It seems that they feel justified in ripping of the mail order customers. After all, what are we going to do? They already cashed our check! read more

I picked up blueberry bushes today. The Latino workers were nice, but the white guy who seemed to be in charge was likely the most obnoxious, rude, disrespectful, and confrontational person I have ever encountered. It made the experience horrible and I drove away feeling so sorry for the people who feel like they have no other option than to work for him. I have never experienced anything like this and I have spent much of my career working with the public. He does not have to worry about me returning because it isn't going to happen and I will tell everyone I know. I would have driven away without making the purchase except I was picking up the blueberry bushes for others. He is a disgrace. I don't care how busy you are or how stressed you are, you don't treat people that way. read more

If I could give 0 I would. I sent in my check 4 weeks ago it was cashed. I called 3 times and got a voicemail, I asked to call me back to let me know when I could expect the blueberry bushes I paid for, that's all I wanted. I get a call from some angry old man telling me to stop huffing and puffing and leaving voicemails! I was shocked to say the least. I asked again, when can I expect my bushes.....he just kept going on, saying what an immature person I was without a job and that I sleep in.......I mean who says that?? I have never seen or talked to this guy before and he starts saying idiotic things like that? Well I have to say, don't expect a call if you do business with them, and if you do, expect to be named call and yelled at for calling them! Horrible man, just plain mean, angry bitter old man. I just read all the reviews and see that I am by far not the only one who got treated so rude! read more

This was the worst experience I have had with a business in my life!!! I sent in money for my shrubs and called today to ask if they could ship them asap so I can plant them this weekend. The woman's response was: "We will give you a courtesy call when they ship." Not what I asked. I asked if I could speak with someone to expedite the order and after a brief hold the owner gets on and starts insulting me and the entire population of Martha's Vineyard which happens to be where I intend to plant the blueberries. I hung up the phone and called back to cancel the order. The woman's response was: " You cannot cancel according to our terms and conditions." Could not believe this until I read the Yelp reviews! Who knows what he will send me now. UPDATE: only one plant is alive read more

I purchased 6 / 2 year old plants for 20.00 each a total of 120.00. They do not accept Credit cards and now I know why. you must send them a check with your address then they send your plants so I did so but they sent my plants on a Thursday before memorial day weekend so I didn't get my plants for 7 days by the time I received them they were extremely wilted and not in the shape I expected them to come with a rushed shipping within 3 days I prepped my ground and everything previous even added special ground chips and had the soil tested none of the plants made it through the summer left them hoping they just needed to come back in this spring nothing came back contacted them this spring now they are selling those same plants but they're 3 years old and for $10 less I explained to them what had happened and that because of when they had shipped them it took forever for the plants to arrive they are not willing to do anything I would not recommend purchasing any of their plants for none of the six of plants I have pictures of the garden and everything survived not even the summer very dissatisfied with their customer service even one or two plants as a good juster, but not to do anything and not to take credit card so you have no recourse very poor. read more

Don't waste your time I made a big mistake by buying blueberry bushes from Dimeo Farms. When I got the blue berry bushes they were not 4 feet tall they were about a foot. After I complained they changed there wording on there internet add. I bought ten plants they charged me $67.00 for shipping it only cost $13.00. They won't get back to you at all they just rip you off buy from a local green house. Found this place via the web and looked good until I called. The female on the other end acted disinterested, and getting information was like pulling teeth. She was not rude per se, more like a grumpy daughter had been assigned to work the phones, who didn't want to be there, didn't know much about blueberries, and just wanted people to stop calling. Whatever... right.... maybe someone was having a bad day. I was in the process of paying and decided to do some research, feeling nervous to just send a check. What I found: ---MANY reviews (many very recent) describing a similar experience: delivery of tiny plants on life support, that end up dying once planted. The employee explained this by stating it was their competition posting these. ---Experiences of customers having to wait a long time to get their plants. ---MANY reviews from people that went to the farm just to be verbally attacked by some guy (sounds like the same guy), who apparently states he is the owner. ---23 complaints on the Better Business Bureau website. ---Many complaints all over the internet, on various sites describing above. These reviews, in addition to this companies practices made it a clear choice not to order. --Have to pay via check, no receipt --Would not do a COD --Would not guarantee the size of the plant they send, despite the web site stating they are 3' tall. --Unwillingness to send more than three varieties of bushes. Apparently it is too difficult for them to add a 4th variety to the order. I called back and confronted the female employee about the reviews, asking for a Cash on Delivery arrangement or at least a guarantee of the plants being in the 3ft range. NO can do.!! Apparently the reviews are a conspiracy by the competition and I was told to come by and check the place out myself. Given that I am nowhere close, (she knew this), this was not an option, and on further thought, given the descriptions by others who went there, I don't know if I would stop by and risk being verbally attacked. In short, I did not order, so for whatever this is worth..., but there are too many red flags not to alert others to the situation. My goal of writing this is to put pressure on this company to stand by their product and fix whatever the issue is as it sounds like some people did get nice healthy plants. If I want to gamble 200$ away I will go to vegas though. read more

I made an appointment to pick up organic blueberry bushes at Dimeo farms. Was super excited! But then we came out today just to pick up my plants. The front man somehow interpreted my asking to pick up my blueberry plants that I had scheduled for pickup as someone who wanted to start a fight!!! I do not have a personality like that at all. We drove 40 minutes to pick these up. I am shocked that he told us to leave. We did absolutely nothing wrong. I am so upset and speechless! No way to do business with the community. I am highly disappointed with this company. And by reading some google reviews, they are NOT ORGANIC blueberries and NOT ORGANIC blueberry bushes as advertized. I will be reporting them to NJ department of agriculture and BBB. read more

I ordered over 125 bushes last fall. Some one year olds and some two year olds. 50 of them died out over the winter. On my first call I got referred to the 'farm'. Terrible service and respect for the customer. Purchased 3 year old blueberries in June. I was told they would arrive dormant. However, they arrived half dead, fully leafed out and covered in Blueberries. With all my efforts to save them in the hot summer. They all died. Contacted Dimeo to see what they would suggest. Each time I called they told me the farmer would call me back. Finally on the 5th time they just read me their policy on plants. Extremely cold and rude. Would not answer any of my questions. Tried to actually talk to the farmer but the manager just kept ignoring me. Would not recommend any interaction with this business. read more

Dimeo Farms thinks you are STUPID and wants to TAKE your money. I ordered 100 plants for my farm and received NO INVOICE. They want me to have faulty accounting and inaccurate taxes. The 3 varieties weren't labeled! The customer service was AWFUL saying they weren't labeled because I didn't ask for them to be labeled. Why would amateur or farmer waste their own time by planting 100 plants that ripen at different intervals?!!!! they refused to refund my money. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. This was a fun place to visit for blueberry picking. We picked berries for about 20 mins and were able to pick many pounds of fruit because of it's nice size; whatever variety of blueberry bushes they have there in field number 3, was my personal favorite, but my friend liked the ones in field 1, you can ask them when you get there, but they are all good if you ask me, but field 3 was my fav. Granted, it's not expensive as they do not charge any kind of "admission fee" which other places tried to charge us - we paid $10 for 12 pints, which comes to $1.66 per pint - but this is organic fruit so that's a real good price compared to the supermarket which would charge me double the price for what we paid, the organic fruit is plentiful and easier to pick than what i've experienced at other places. Plus it was so clean without all the chemicals that I've tasted on fruit I picked at other farms in the past, but not here. All in all, it's a great place for families, couples or anyone who want to experience an incredible summer day at this family (and dog) friendly u-pick. read more

This is my first time ordering with this company and it will definitely not be my last! I found them on fb when my friend shared one of their posts. I was super impressed to see that they have over 63,000 fb fans. That's pretty darn good for a small family business. I ordered 10 plants and they came in looking good with nice roots and well developed canes. Packaging was excellent . Not a drop of soil was lost. They were all still leafed and now looking beautiful in my garden. They even included a thank you note handwritten with their business card, which was a super cute touch. Overall, I'm very pleased with my first order and now planning on the next. read more

The product: (Positive) Actually better than expected based on the Yelp reviews and BBB rating. They get two stars strictly for the product actually arriving alive. They lost three stars for their poor customer service. I paid $164 for 10, 3-year old blueberry bushes. $64 of that was for shipping, bushes were $10 each. Shipped about when I expected it to. They came curled up in a cardboard box about 2 feet long by 1 foot wide by 6 inches high. The roots had no dirt on them, and were packed with some small ice pellets to allow them to melt and water the plant during shipping. The bushes are about 3 feet tall. and just starting to bud for the spring. They are definitely alive and appear to be healthy. I requested they mark the variety of the bushes, but they came marked only "early, mid, late" for the time of season they can be picked. The Customer Service: (Negative) The girl that answers the phone is abrupt, and has poor phone manners. Maybe she's very busy or overworked, or maybe nobody ever taught her how to speak to customers on the phone. They only accepted a check for payment. They don't tell you exactly what you will get or when. So it is kind of a leap of faith to order from them. You can use Facebook to ask questions but they apparently don't like it. Today when I attempted to ask about varieties of plants they sent me, they asked for my phone number to call me. I gave it to them. The owner DiMeo himself called me. He was immediately very condescending, dismissive and arrogant. I did not attempt to correct him, because I don't care about attempting to change this man's behavior. However, he wasted 5 minutes of both of our time telling me how he was too busy to answer questions online and to just call them (I didn't want to call because their phone rep was not exactly helpful either). Meanwhile, the answer to my question literally took three words, and could have been easily answered online when they had a moment. The guy really sounds like he has some kind of emotional disturbance, or he's just really, really bad at talking to customers. I do not plan to do business with this man again, even if it turns out that the product is good and successful. I do not reward people who have no respect for their customers. The Yelp reviews are bad for a reason, as is the BBB rating. Beware. read more

Run! Don't walk away from this place. DO NOT SEND THEM A CHECK IN THE MAIL. That is so when you are defrauded, you can't get your money back. Promise 4 year old plants. 10 plant min. $10 pc/ $86 shipping, which could be explained if you are getting huge potted plants. Imagine my surprise when I received 9, not 10, twigs that cost less than $16 to ship and blamed it on COVID. Office staff, Terrible. Anthony DiMeo, rude and nasty. No apologies. Called/texted 4 times, still no extra plant or refund. This biz is actually in Mullica Township, NJ if you are trying to reach out for help to local authorities. Very sweet town. Dishonest to use their reputation on his website to make themselves look reputable and trustworthy. Oh, if you want to know what variety of blueberry you're getting, make sure you ask them to tag it. Otherwise you get three varieties of plants untagged, just shoved in a box. That is if you're dumb enough after reading all these reviews to purchase here. Ratings were close to 5 star a few months ago, now down to 2. Can't imagine why. I will continue calling every local I can find to represent the countless customers from other states who have no voice or recompense. read more

DiMeo Farms has been a nightmare from the day I ordered my plants & continues to be a pain to try to work with (for 5 weeks). I ordered 15 plants on June 6th, 5 of each of blueberry, blackberry, & raspberry. After 10-12 days or so, I hadn't received my plants & was worried that it was a scam since I had to send a check by mail & now they aren't answering my calls for 2 days in a row. Eventually someone tells me they haven't shipped due to weather & someone would call when they shipped. I did not receive my plants until the 23rd or 25th, & they showed up in a small to medium sized carboard box (looked like a large shoe box almost, 15 in long, 12 in wide, 12 in deep MAYBE.) Their website has a video showing blueberry bushes taller than the man video taping, shipped on a pallet with the root balls wrapped individually in plastic. All 15 of my plants were smashed into a box, broken, wrapped in chunks of 5, & all of the plants were so SO small, I was in shock. The tallest plant stood about 14inches tall with most of my raspberry & blackberry bushes being only 6-9 inches tall. ALSO, it is evident that the plants have had the tops cut off to both clone the plant & stimulate growth, taking the best part of the plant off. I have continually called every couple of days leaving voicemails on their machine & with staff who answered the phone, & still no call almost 3 weeks after receiving the plants. They are also all dying. I wouldn't give them a star if I didn't have to. PS, shipping was more than the plants by far, very deceptive & a massive inconsistency with what was promised/expected & what happened. read more

Let me start by saying that a zero would be what I give this farm. Sadly, my father ordered 5 blueberry plants for his grandchildren. When the plants were sent to us we received three of the plants ordered. None labeled, no packing slip, but instructions. We thought two plants were shipped separately and my dad called the farm to question where the two missing plants were. Also, apparently he complained about the disappointment in the size of the product that states three year old bushes are 4 feet tall. They are at most two feet tall. I digress. The real issue is that we never received two of the plants that were paid for in advance. Multiple calls were placed with no response from anyone. My husband sent an email Easter Sunday hoping that during the week we would receive a response. Instead while having breakfast, a man called my husband back screaming at him on the phone literally it went Hello. Screaming on the other end telling my husband he was a liar that we received all 5 plants. That he had already spoken to my father and that didn't we know that our $20 was not worth his time. He would not send us the two plants and we needed to wait for a partial refund when he had the time. He would not allow my husband to get a word in edgewise at all. After he continued to yell, my husband said that he would be leaving him a negative review for the poor customer service he was receiving at which point the yelling became worse, he told us that if we left him a negative review we would never see the partial refund. My husband hung up the phone and proceeded to post negatively on the farms page to which the owner who called us deleted the review then proceeded to email and berate my husband. Again calling us liars and stating that we received the five plants. At which point I photographed the three bushes we received and sent the photos to the farm stating we are not liars these are the bushes we received and that we were simply looking to get our money back or the additional two plants, two find out how many boxes were shipped if perhaps they could track the rest of the shipment, in an attempt to calm the situation and show that we were simply looking for what was ordered. What I received back were lectures and tirades that I was killing the plants, they were not planted properly, that there was top soil etc and that now he had proof. I should have just left it, but again in an effort to calm I stated that I knew I needed to work on the soil and that my 4 year old had help me plant the bushes quickly and she had dumped a half a bag of top soil on the bushes and I needed to correct that. He continued to message me calling me a liar, and berating me despite me telling him multiple times I was only trying to show him the number of bushes received and that there were three as we stated and not five as we ordered. I stopped answering this man who clearly, is angry, with poor customer service, does not know how to deal with the public. It was at this point we saw all the online reviews with similar experiences as ours an angry screaming man who can not admit that a mistake or error was made and instead tells you how you are not worth his time, your money is not worth his time and your experience with his company does not matter. So I will take the only recourse I can and leave a review that cannot be deleted. And ensure that any hobby farmers I know never buy from this fraud of a farm. Save your money by elsewhere even if the product is amazing the treatment by the owner is scary and upsetting at best. Also, I have educated myself that I will read all the reviews before I buy from someone again. Lesson learned. read more

Run, don't walk, run AWAY from this operation. As soon as we arrived at the farm we witnessed the driver of a truck being berated by a very irate individual, yelling and cursing and telling him to get his heap of junk out of the way! Our idea of a bucolic blueberry picking experience was further dashed when we approached the stand to pay (CASH only!) and pick up our containers. The aforesaid individual, who we now realize was the owner, was now yelling at a couple because they happened to ask a question about the type of blueberries they would be picking. He ended up flinging their money back at them. For a split second we thought that this must be a set up, nobody could be so rude to their customers, maybe we were on Candid Camera?! We even laughed, albeit rather nervously, until it became apparent that this was no joke. Especially when he yelled at us to "get out of here, do you want me to pick them for you?" We will never return. We are also rather skeptical about the 'organic' advertisement. Only wish that we had read the blogs beforehand. read more

Paid $340 via mail order for 19 (we were shorted one) dried out, sickly twigs only about 18" tall. If these things "fruit" like their website promises, it would be a biblical event due to their current condition. They didn't return my email message. I didn't want to call them because the girl who answers the phone was very abrasive in the first place when we called to order. Now I know why they only take checks, appalling business. Should have read their Yelp reviews first. Live & learn I guess. So much for ordering from a small-family-owned business. Appears I was charged $138 for shipping, actual shipping was $38. read more

WORST ATTITUDE EVER. We were trying to get information on their wedding venue and they were extremely rude and short on the phone. Telling us that we can't bring 250 guest because they don't want that many car on their farm and hung up on us. Never use this place for anything. read more

I find it hard to believe there are actually any satisfied customers from this company. Not only based on my personal experience but also after reading so many negative comments. Reading the negative comments written here in regards to doing business with DiMeo Farms is like reliving the horrible experience over and over again. There's no doubt the man I spoke with has a serious problem and enjoys abusing customers. It is obvious there is a mental condition of some sort going on. Or he thoroughly receives pleasure from being down right mean. Most consumers take for granted they can ask a normal question in regards to the items they choose to purchase. You know, such as how much it will cost to ship X number of plants, or the age or type of plant you are looking to purchase. Well, do not expect anything to be normal when trying to do business with DiMeo Farms. The man running this operation is CRAZY! There must be some type of mental illness going on. I am sure this company has made a dump truck load of money from doing business for many years. And they may actually prefer large orders over smaller ones. I can see where that would be more worth their time. However, they do not advertise minimum orders or that they only wholesale to the industry. DiMeo Farms markets their products as a "family run, open and friendly operation. Based on the comments listed here and my own personal experience, I venture to say; that everyone involved with this operation is living on "pins and needles" working with this obviously unstable man. This man has no control over his behavior. He's rude beyond words. He's condescending, cruel, racist, overbearing, dictating, and narcissistic. It's actually scary to have a conversation with this person. I think most people are in shock when he begins yelling and accusing them of wasting his time. He's got better things to do than answer any questions, and further more he's so wealthy he really doesn't want your money. He told me he prefers at least a $2,500 order. This may be his true feelings, but he can't stop himself from throwing that out there immediately. His demeanor is so intimidating and condescending; you can't even have a conversation with him. And he enjoys listening to himself so much; he prefers to give a lengthy lecture about anything other than actually completing the transaction you're attempting. I'm starting a small pick your own farm and needed 280 - 3 year plants. (Such as those seen on their website) It wasn't easy or comfortable to get a written quote however; someone actually sent me an invoice via email the next day. The shipping costs were almost $2000 for 280 plants. This seemed high, so I had plans to rent a truck and make the trip myself. No problem. My farm project was scheduled to begin later in the year so I decided to purchase 15 - 3 year old plants sooner. I made these plans with a woman over the phone before I ever spoke with this horrible over bearing man. No one mentioned any problem with this transaction. So, I mailed $150 to DiMeo Farms, and after the checks cleared and I was ready to receive my 15 plants. I called to ask what the shipping would be for the 15 plants, and spoke with the rudest human being on the planet. Needless to say he was beside himself because I dared to send $150 without the shipping costs already included. Trust me, I surely wish I hadn't. I wish I had never heard of DiMeo Farms much less sent money or made plans to start my farm using their products. I doubt I will ever see my $150 again. I doubt I will receive any plants. And if he does send any plants I doubt they will be the beautiful 3' to 4' healthy plants I saw on the website. I'm torn as to what to do. I can try writing them via email and request my money back or allow me to pay for shipping. It doesn't look good no matter what I do. Spending more is not a good idea. I wish I had read the negative comments before I fell into the DiMeo trap. Their website is very attractive and fills your eyes with beautiful dreams of growing your own blueberries. Perhaps the person who started DiMeo Farms many years ago enjoyed farming. I don't know. However, the person running it now is a BAD person. He's either sick, mentally ill or he is just the devil himself. He hates what he does and finds pleasure in upsetting others, and causing their lives to be completely disrupted. Doing business with this man is almost guaranteed to be one experience you'll never forget. There are lots of honest people growing and selling blueberries out there. I was mesmerized by their website and by passed others to get to the blueberries grown in New Jersey. I am impressed mostly by the power this company has achieved using you tube videos. All I can say it is NOT what you think it will be. I feel sorry for people working on this farm. I'd recommend looking for another source for your blueberry plants and do not let their self promoting website and videos blind you. read more

BLUEBERRY NAZI!!!! I have never in my life had such a horrible experience than at DiMeo Farm. I scheduled to pickup 10 blueberry plants and drove 2 hours one way to pick them up. I called the farmer after I got there to ask him about his blueberries and first he notified me that he was recording our conversation, that he could see me sitting in my truck, and that I was being videotaped. The he proceeded to yell at me for asking what varieties of blueberries he had and why he only sells 3 varieties when his website advertises much more than 3. Then he accused me of setting him up, that I was not a real customer, he accused me of trying to "trap him" in a setup. I was speechless. He told me to keep my money and leave. Oh, and he yells at you from his window in his "bunker". What farmer doesn't want to meet his customers!? And he will call the cops on you. But don't worry, the cops found the whole thing amusing, and apparently this is a common occurrence at the DiMeo Farm. I just wish I had heeded all the negative reviews and not given them the benefit of the doubt. So, please, heed my warning, DO NOT waste your time or money. You will not find DiMeo Farms on any reputable farming review sites like www.jerseyfresh.nj.gov, or www.localharvest.org because he IS NOT A REPUTABLE FARMER!! After my experience I learned that Anthony DiMeo III (ADIII) is the current "farmer". This blueberry farm has been in his family for 3 or 4 generations. Judging by the photos and information I have gathered on this "farmer", my understanding is this: His father and grandfather and great grandfather worked very hard in building a very nice blueberry farm in Hammondton, NJ for many many years. It was successful and well run. Probably most if not all of the photos on the website are from when the farm was run by the farmers preceeding ADIII. At some point the farm was then turned over to ADIII. However, ADIII really had no interest in becoming a blueberry farmer. He was more interested in being "famous" and having/inheriting a lot of money. He is your model spoiled child. He was willing to ride on the coattails of his forefathers success and bastardize it for his own selfish ambitions. He is the epitome of narcissism. The YouTube videos you see of him are a feeble attempt at acting. The pictures you see of him (the few that you can find) in and around the DiMeo Farm show a person utterly disinterested in farming. I have met many farmers and you can tell when a person loves what they do and take pride in what they do. There are articles and news stories about him being a complete social failure. He is like a toddler throwing a tantrum when he doesn't get his way. So, with DiMeo Farms left in the hands of ADIII, the farm is failing slowly but surely. It is a very sad state of affairs, after all the hard work the farmers before ADIII put into it. He is a disgrace to his family name. The website is a SCAM to lure people to his farm or to purchase his plants over the internet. You MUST pay CASH if you are picking up or by check if you are purchasing online/shipping. He will not give you a receipt. There is no paper trail, that is exactly how he wants it. He doesn't know squat about blueberries. The website is full of information about blueberries, but don't ask him any questions. You will be told that you are too stupid to grow blueberries if you have to ask "so many" questions. Have you ever met a farmer that doesn't want to talk the afternoon away about what he grows and how he grows his produce? Well, you will if you ask ADIII one question about his blueberries. The fact is he doesn't tolerate being questioned about anything because if you ask him a question he has to demonstrate knowledge of which he has NONE. He will become belligerent and hostile. He will make wild accusations to somehow justify his outrageous behavior. Then he will tell you to leave. This is a classic narcissist. He has no problem telling customers that he makes more than 3 million dollars a year and he doesn't need their money. He will accuse you of videotaping him if he sees a phone in your hand and freak out on you and tell you to leave. I can not make this stuff up. These are actual experiences that I and others have had with ADIII at DiMeo Farms. ADIII is not a farmer. He is a scammer. He wants your money and he wants you to give it to him without question. Blueberry Hell - Don't Go There Not the Blueberry Hill of Fats Domino. You won't find your thrill at Dimeo's Blueberry Farm - unless you like being abused. You think Seinfeld's Soup Nazi is bad? He's a creme puff next to the man in charge the day we went there. Well, after doing some research on customer satisfaction, it seems we've joined the ranks of blueberry enthusiasts who were drawn in by the Dimeo website and youtube videos, only to be verbally assaulted and driven away, stunned and reeling in a state of utter disbelief over the entire experience of visiting the Dimeo farm. I don't even know where to begin in describing the horrible treatment we received. We being: me, 70 yrs old, my 72 yr old husband, our 50 year old organic/wholefood nutrition counselor daughter and her 21 yr old daughter, an avid ecologist and agriculturalist, recently graduated from Green Mountain College in Vermont. We were so happy to be taking the 1.5 hour drive to Hammonton, NJ to buy 6 "organic, 4 foot, quarter sized blueberry bushes" and had no idea that we would soon be entering the bizarre world of an aggressive, narcissistic, psycho who scoffed at us when we dared to call him on his scary behavior. It began as soon as we pulled up and parked. There was no designated parking lot so my husband parked in front of a large garage-like building with 3 bays, all open. It was dark in there, but we could see what appeared to be a group of farm workers standing around a large table. Within seconds a man wearing a camouflage cap and a white T-shirt emerged with an angry expression and his hands held up like a traffic cop. My husband stepped out of the truck to introduce himself and my daughter was on her way around the truck to do the same. The man, we later learned, was the grandson of the owner. We were still in our collective happy and excited frame of mind. I and my granddaughter were about to get out of the back seat of the truck when this man, with the demeanor of a guerrilla commando, ordered us to "Stop! Everybody get back in the truck!" When my husband tried to explain that we had an appointment the commando said in a mocking tone, "yeah, yeah, yeah" and then, "Just follow me. I'm going to walk in front of your truck and you're going to follow me." We did what we were told, looking at each other in disbelief as if we had somehow been hurled into the twilight zone. We only drove a short distance when "the man" signaled us to stop. My husband got out. I opened my door in the back seat of the truck and said "This seems more like a military compound than a blueberry farm." He glared at me. It gave me the creeps. He then started asking us what variety we wanted and rapidly recited a list of varieties too quickly for us to comprehend. He handed my husband a sheet of paper with a business card attached which my husband placed on the front seat. We told him we wanted 6 of the 4 quarter-sized plants that would give us fruit all summer - that's what the website said we would get for $10.00 per bush. You should know that all of this time the man's expression was one of anger and disgust, his attitude was extremely condescending and his mannerisms intimidating. We thought we would at least be able to pick out our own plants, but even that small pleasure was denied us. The man picked out six scrawny potted plants and asked us brusquely "Where do you want them?" We laughed. Did he think we were going to drive home holding them in our laps? I reminded him that his website said we would be instructed on the best way to plant and care for the bushes. He sneered at that and said "The time I spent doing that I could be on the phone making $25,000.00." My daughter said, "So much for customer service." His face went tight and got uglier and in a tone dripping sarcasm he said "Sorry I can't give you more of myself." She said, "Oh, that's okay. I think we've had enough of you already." At that he said "Get of here. And to my husband, "Give me my paper back and get off my property." My husband reached into the truck, crumpled up the paper and threw it at him. That's when this psycho pulled out his cell phone and took a picture of our license plate. As we drove away (without purchasing any blueberry bushes) my granddaughter said "I had less trouble getting through check points in Mexico. Something's not quite right about this place. There's a piece missing from this puzzle." read more

DO NOT BUY FROM THEM! DON'T DO IT! RESIST THE TEMPTATION AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! Here are few reasons and red flags that I wish I haven't ignored: 1. You have to call in to make an order over the phone and it's the only way take orders. (Which business in 2018 still has no online ordering available? Bad one.) The problem with this system is that the order is through a word of mouth and you cannot prove what you ordered or didn't order. 2. The only way you can pay is with a check. The only way for your order to be processed is for them to receive your check and cash it first. So if you have any issues, you're not getting your money back. (So pray, do a moment of silence, a sun dance or whatever you do to make sure that you have no issues because you're NOT GETTING YOUR MONEY BACK! Yes, I put in big letters so that you're warned). 3. Their way of communication is inefficient and inconvenient. You have to call until someone finally finds some time to pick up (thanks for doing me a favor and picking up since you know, I'm only a customer). I called 3 times and left a message and no one called back. Finally on trial number 4, a lady picked up. ( In retrospect, I don't know why I tried so hard to spend my hard earn money here. Be smarter than me and go somewhere else!) 4. Their "customer service" is TERRIBLE, INCOMPETENT, and PSYCHO. This brings me to the people who run this place. The lady who I've spoken on the phone doesn't know what she is talking about and just tells you what you want to hear until they cash your check. ( Sidenote: Yes, they only take checks and yes, you read that right. And yes, I was that dumb to send in the check, which they have cashed within 3 days of receiving it.) 5. THE PSYCHO MAN. If you dealt with him, you know what I'm talking about and there is no explanation needed. However if you haven't, I'm going to try my best to explain in words what a crazy, mentally deranged, insane, lunatic, unbalanced, irrational, and just batshit crazy person he is. ( I hope that's enough adjectives to paint a picture. ) When you talk to him, actually it's just him SCREAMING over you and not allowing you to speak and that him after I just asked a question. So when I had an issue with my order, needless to say, all hell broke loose. When I called with an issue, as another reviewer described it so well as the man of " 50 shades of crazy" completely lost it. I had an issue with shipping time and the "50 shades of crazy man" screamed and yelled at me, called me names, talked the whole time, wouldn't let you get in a word and most importantly, wasn't willing to listen at all- not even for a second. ( And he is the person running the place). I don't understand when someone inconveniences me because they are not shipping when they said they would ( and yes, an order is a contract) and they get to call me an idiot and stupid because I'm asking why my order has not came in yet. Actually, I find it a bit ironic coming from the "50 shades of crazy" man. This man literally raises your blood pressure in 1 second. 6. They lie. I have called 4 times to order and 3 more times to make sure my order was coming on time. When I've spoken with the lady after I ordered (3 times), she told me 3 times that it's coming on time. However, then they called me and told me it's going to be delayed. When I ordered, I wanted a specific time for my products to come ( it was a surprise for someone else that clearly never happened) and I did specify that I needed the products at that specific time. I did ask if it's possible and the lady said yes. So when I "talked" to them the 8th time, the PSYCHO MAN came out of the looney bin and I had "the pleasure" of him SCREAMING at me. So in conclusion, why do you promise things that you can't deliver and then call your customers idiots and stupid for your short comings. 7. The products are not that great. After planting them ( not as a surprise anymore) only about half of them made it. I'm not calling again to try to get my money back because I know I'm not going to and I'm sparing myself the time, energy, and sanity of dealing with these people. (They need a reality show. ) So I hope you're smarter than me and go somewhere else, however, if you choose to continue to do business with them, you have been warn! Good luck! read more

WORST SALES EXERIENCE EVER! After a year of thinking about making the trek over to the "blue berry capital of the world" hammonton nj to get hard to find organic & heirloom blue berry plants, I made the trip. I was very excited! Anyways, I get there and a man and woman walk over, who inform me that they have no brochure or written details on the plants they are selling, except for what was on the website and the minimum purchase was 5 plants (so $50) and it was to be cash. The woman informs me that the local store "Food basket" has an ATM. So that was no problem, although I was hoping for a better idea in person of what I could purchase, regardless there still were the blueberry plants I really wanted and the main reason I drove over. So, I check on their website again to refresh my memory on what they grew and offered for sale for a minute or two then I return to the farm with plenty of extra money. When I ( and my boyfriend and little nephew) return a few minutes later, the man who owns the house, again emerges to help us. Initially seeming decent, interested in where we came from. I tell him what we were hoping for: a container plant and maybe a sampling of the supposed 36 varieties of heirloom blueberry plants. He interrupts me to say he knows exactly what I want and rattles of 6 things people tend to want from blue berry plants, since he's been doing this since age 12. I say ok that's probably right. He starts getting into how he doesn't have time for this as he has a bunch of things to do and wedding. He says hates retail and so do all his family members. They make nothing from these small transactions. This is like breakfast for them, he continues. He says he is used to trucks loading huge orders for plants. . I said," well we're only going to take maybe 10 minutes of your time." I ask if it's ok to get some raspberry plants or maybe even the grape vines, mentioned on the website as well. He says, well were only going to do the 5 blueberry plants. ( He's getting really impatient for only 3 minutes of talking!) I ask him instead, about the getting a variety of blue berry plants that bloom at different parts of the season( as mentioned on the website, ask about their al variety seasonal pack or something to that effect). I figured, well that's ok we'll just talk about that and just focus on getting blueberry plants and hopefully it works out. He gives us one plant and tells my boyfriend to load it in the car and proceeds to pick another, but no explanation about anything. I ask, "is this one going to bloom later ?". He goes into details of how he doesn't have time for this again. And I say, "I'm not sure what is going on, but we're really not nor planning on taking much your time and you're being a little rude". He take the plants back and says we should probably leave. I say that's fine, but I definitely reporting you to the Better Business Bureau." He says," Bad, reviews don't bother me.. and something about how he is a successful businessman." He continues that, I should just leave his property right now. I say, "Oh, believe me I am "and I take a picture if him, just to validate that I'd been there when I shared the story as needed with the better business bureau and he comes running after me, demanding I delete it. He literally, pulls me by the waist trying to prevent me from entering my car and trying to take my camera. I get into the car anyways and he can't reach my camera as I look through to see if I even got a picture. He stands there demanding the picture be deleted and won't allow me to shut my door, but standing in front of it. I finally get the idea that I have to drive forward with my door open, just to get out of there! - End result: No plants and total disappointment! Are they lying about these 36 variety heirloom blue berry plants, or what? I literally got no information about anything during those 5 crazy minutes. Not even about the age, type or anything of the plants I was looking at, which he wanted to sell me. No details about early blooming plants verses the late. Whether it would work to container garden their variety. Not what I expected from an organic farmer... or any business person for that matter! read more

STOP do not send Dimeo money. I ordered 75 blueberry plants in October to plant in the late fall. Six months later I finally receiver some plants. The plants were in a bag in the carton no water or moist packing with them so some of the plant roots were dry. Ten percent of them have died. When you call to place an order they give you a total price you think they are shipping next day shipping because of the high cost but they just use the US postal service. I was charged $150 for shipping my plants. This works out to be about $2 per plant additional for shipping and handling. By the time I figure in the dead plants my cost per plant is $8.76 each for something that sounded like a good deal at $4.95 After I gave up on getting plants from Dimeo I ordered 50 plants from Finch Blueberries and was charged $25 actual shipping cost and received them in 4 days from the day I ordered them. I Dimeo asked for early and late season blueberry plants. What I got are all early season plant that came marked with a sharpie on some tape with the variety names that I ordered. Who knows what I actually got But I know I did not get what I wanted. see below The Dimeo Blueberry farm owners do not care about their customers just read some their terms and conditions at the very bottom of their first web page. It is 20 pages long talks about every gripe the owner has from customers driving on the grass to customers that complain that their plants arrived dead. and many other crazy things. . To quote from his TERMS AND CONDITIONS 'Within the shipping fee price is not just the standard postage or cost of shipping, but also a box charge, materials charge, labor charge, shipping supplies charge and transportation to shipper charge." But if you think picking up is better "Please be aware that when you pick-up your order of any two (2) year-old product advertised on our website for $4.95 each, that there will be an additional fee of $1.05 per pot added for the fact that we will be giving you the thick heavy duty reusable nursery pot, special sand and peat moss mix, and special slow-release 8-9 month fertilizer for one year along with the product." From terms and conditions of Dimeo Farms "We never guarantee a certain plant or bush height in feet, inches, or number of canes, leaves or branches. As such, when anyone asks a plant or bush height question, we respond by stating "usually up to around"" " We never guarantee that a plant or bush age will be (for example, exactly a three (3) year old plant or bush) as the bush or plant we sell you may be somewhat younger or older than 3 years-old" "If any of your requested plant varieties are sold out, currently not in stock, were never in stock or stocked, not available, or low in inventory, we fully reserve the right to substitute... with our own choice of plant variety" You may get a blueberry bush of some height, age, and variety which may not be what you wanted or expected dead or alive If you try to contact them about your order all you get is "You will be called when your order ships." Stay. Away. From. This. Place. You have been warned. I ordered 5 blueberries, their minimal amount, at the beginning of March 2021. Somebody called Lindsay, who is very rude and bigoted and should not be allowed anywhere near customers, said they will ship the plants as soon as I send a $100 check. In my naivety, I did, expecting to get a call, confirmation number, email, anything at all. Did not. I checked my bank statement and noticed the check has been cashed. A week later I called to inquire about the status of my order. The same Lindsay told me that Michelle, who is not available and does't know when she will be, if ever, will give me a curtesy (?!) call when they will ship them. About another week from now. That makes it three weeks since they cashed my check. Still refused to give a confirmation number, extremely rude (at this point I am STILL polite because, heck, they cashed my money and I want something out of it, since I was an idiot to send a check without any proof or confirmation that I have placed an order or anything). I said I will call daily until I have a confirmation of the shipment date. By now I am half-convinced that I lost $100 and that is all my fault. More importantly, waiting for my check to arrive to them, waiting for them to cash it and all that, I missed the planting window. All I wanted these wretched plants for was my small child who really likes blueberries. Like, a lot. Don't know why, nobody else in the family likes them that much. I wanted only 2 or 3 bushes, but they forced me to buy 5 blueberries because that's the minimum order. I tried to get them to sell me 3 blueberries and 2 anything else, as they advertised on their websites, but no. Fine, the hell with it, I'm not going to fight with what seems to be more than just deaf ears, but a positively hostile contact person from this business. Also, "please" and "thank you" are missing from any DiMeo person's vocabulary. So I bought 5 blueberries. Pick your fights. Anyway, half an hour later some dude calls me, does not introduce himself, he says he's the boss (he put heavy emphasis on 'the boss'), all I get to say is "Hello. I'm very pleased to hear back from you" (genuinely happy, no sarcasm, as I really did not expect to hear from these people again) and then HE starts to scream, calls me crazy, cheapskates and all sorts and that he'll write the cheapskates a refund check and then, basically like a 6 year old, started chanting "Cheapskate! Cheapskates!". I couldn't get in a word edgewise. I lost it, I screamed "How dare you!" and I hung up. This is DiMeo farms. Beware of them! Lesson learned: never EVER send money to some shoddy sketchy no good company without some proof that you actually placed an order. BTW, I reported them to BBB as well. That's how terrible the experience with this company was. When I got to the BBB website, every single one of the reviews were 1 star and the rating of the company is F. If only I read those before sending these terrible people a check. Hindsight is 20:20. Even if by some miracle you get lucky and have a neutral or even positive interaction with this company, you still should boycott them just because they treated so many others so badly. read more

BE AWARE & STAY AWAY!! We visited & purchased blueberry bushes this Mother's Day 2020. On our way out of the farm our tire was punctured directly across the street from DiMeo's exit. We pulled off of the road and asked the woman who sold us the blueberry bushes just minutes before, where we can safely park to change our tire. We called AAA & the driver arrived within 20 minutes. As we were having the tire removed, the owner, Anthony "Spider" DiMeo, who we never saw before this, came out with his phone & shoved it in my face, cursing & screaming while taking a video...(This is during Covid 19 "social distancing") He was aggressively shoving his phone on my face and pushing me down. I am a professional woman in my 50's, who was a passenger in the truck & had just bought 7 blueberry bushes. He accused me of getting a flat tire on purpose!! He called us "stupid, f*cking, local retards, over & over again...we are not locals! We drove an hour to give him business. The then pushed my back and was screaming into his video he was "escorting me off of his property". He became more unhinged and screamed, "You better have money, I'm calling my lawyer, I have you on camera." He is a vicious, disgusting, foul little man and should not be allowed to treat anyone this way. I Googled him after this incident and wished I had before we went... So, before you pick a place to buy blueberry bushes.... Please go to Trip Advisor, Yelp, BBB, https://dimeo-farms.pissedconsumers, go back to March 17, 2006 The Philadelphia Inquirer "The Blueberry Heir" or www.ripoffreport.com/reports/dimeo-farms/. I left there shaking, crying, humiliated & will NEVER go back. I just have to warn the next customer/victim... DO NOT GO HERE. STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS OWNER. This incident is all on record at the police department because I am afraid this psycho is going to hurt someone. read more

Two issues: false advertising, and the owner's abusive and deceptive behavior. DiMeo Farms advertises on Google and their website "4 foot mature blueberry bushes for $10". When I arrived at the DiMeo Farm on Sunday April 29th, the owner was already in the middle of verbally abusing two other customers - an older couple, and an Asian couple. I wasn't even out of my car, and there was a situation at hand. I got out of my car to see who I should speak to, and the owner, Anthony DiMeo, yelled at me to return to my car and wait to be called. He scolded "this is a drive-thru service", even though this is NEVER mentioned on Dimeo's social media or website. Their website boasts "over 32 varieties", yet, if you ask any questions, Anthony Dimeo screams at you! As soon as the other two customers left, Anthony DiMeo came over to me and said "I hate cheap Asians and old men". This guy is a huge RACIST! The blueberry bushes being offered are between 12" and 18", and are sold for $10. The 4 foot mature bushes that are advertised at $10, are selling for $25. Anthony literally expects you to pull into his driveway, tell him how many bushes you want, fork over cash, and promptly leave. DiMeo Farms wants you to believe they're a nice family farm, which couldn't be farther from the truth. DiMeo Farms is owned an operated by one (little) man, Anthony DiMeo III, a self-agrandizing sociopath. Simply put, Anthony Dimeo is running a bait and switch operation. In addition to his bait and switch routine, he is quite possibly the rudest, most abusive business owner I've ever met in my life. I wish I had read the reviews before driving one hour to his farm. Hundreds upon hundreds of customers have been subject to his fraudulent tactics and abusive behavior. Something needs to be done about his practices and his behavior! read more

Really nice, friendly people to do business with. I'm so happy I found them and called. The farmer I spoke with was exceptionally gracious and helpful on the telephone. He took his time to speak with me and I never felt rushed or anything like that. He did put me on hold a couple times, but I understand they are busy and no offense was taken. I can tell that they do care about you as a customer. We talked for about 15 mins about me being in the process of rehabilitating our family garden. The friendly receptionist transferred me to one of the owners who quickly took my call. He was so nice and able to answer all of my questions to my satisfaction. The plants that were sent to me were in superb condition. Fully rooted with many healthy stalks and excellent root systems. I expect these to yield significantly and sooner than my purchases in the past from one of my local nurseries. So, yes, they were well worth the slightly higher price to me. The owner said that if I ever have any questions, to just call them and that they would take care of me. I lost a copy of the planting instructions they include with the shipment. I called back and the receptionist quickly e-mailed me a copy of the instructions and even thanked me for my business. She called to make sure I received the e-mail and asked if I had any questions. I should add that the farmers use natural growing, Non-GMO techniques, which is another plus in my book. The customer service is very communicative about your order. They called me twice to update me. You know exactly when you will receive it, and they accommodated me special requests on when I wanted to receive the shipment. Older, yet, very informative website. First rate plants and impressive customer service. Will be telling anyone I know to support this wonderful farm. read more

A real class-act, and magical place. This past summer, we drove to DiMeo's at the recommendation from a friend. My friend goes blueberry picking at this place every summer. It's a friendly place. The farm is cozy and inviting. It literally is the most beautiful farm I have ever been to in New Jersey. What a beautiful way to spend the afternoon picking organic blueberries! The drive there is beautiful and the destination is like the cherry (or in this case blueberry) on top! Lol. The plants were loaded with berries, the staff is helpful, the prices reasonable and the owner is friendly and knowledgeable. He was very nice and helped us carry our blueberries back to the car. Can't wait to return next summer! Their u-pick farm is just the right size to walk. It's not overwhelming where you have to walk far from your car to get out to the actual picking area. The prices were great. It was only $1.66 a pint. For organic blueberries that's so so so cheap!! They give you the old fashioned green paper pints and you walk out to the fields. Several different varieties to choose from. Now that I think of it, they have many. After you are done there is a very delightful little fruit stand where you can buy one of their really cool customized t-shirts, blueberry preserves and they have blueberry plants with blueberries already on them that you can buy. We took home a thornless blackberry plant, two cranberry bushes and 5 blueberry bushes that were loaded with berries. And they give you planting instructions. All of the plants have thrived and gave us berries even into the fall months. Looking forward to our visit next summer!! Loved the relaxing zen-like music they played read more

Great farm, great yogi-appreciating .... earthly people, great atmosphere. I'm soooooo glad this farm started hosting yoga classes. I can't think of a better way to start my weekend. Being able to practice outside on a gorgeous family farm and connecting with nature along the trails in the Jersey pine barrens is a whole different yoga experience. They have yoga class instructors there during their blueberry picking season in June, July and August every weekend, but it's for large groups only. You can book your own group session, get people together, and bring your own class or instructor, but you have to let them known in advance and it's all by appointment only. The farm is open year-round, but the best times are summer, spring and fall ...with the Indian summer we are having this year, we might get another group together and squeeze in one more session since it's going to get warm again. Being able to practice while meeting new down-to-earth piney people is even better. Being able to help support the farm's rescue animals is also a great feeling. Their summer and fall weekend sessions are great for beginners and seasoned yogis. If you haven't had a chance to try it I would highly recommend it. I signed up for my first class thinking it would be a one and done experience. As soon as I got home from the first class I immediately signed up for the rest of the sessions. It even got me into gardening, cause I didn't know they offered all kinds of organic berry plants too! YES it's that awesome! Berries, gardening and forest yoga. So sign up, pick your instructor and get you group together! You won't regret it. It's a great bonding experience:) read more

In order to identify the plants being shipped as bare root plants you need to go into the terms and conditions section of the website and search the contract for it. This is the abhorrent behavior for a plant nursery. This company is pulling what they feel is a perfectly acceptable bait and switch tactic. Yes it is legal for you to contain the information in a hard to reach sector of your website. Yes it is the buyers responsibility to read the terms and conditions part of any agreement. That does not however reduce the fact that it is underhanded and a very dirty business practice. Every other company that sells bare root plants has the plants listed as bare root dormant plants. This company lists them as BIG 3 year old plants and in an unattached sector says all shipped plants are bare root stock as is our legal right to do. Thats right it actually has a section outside of the product description that changes the product and says it is our legal right to do this. Like a lowdown dirty scumbag salesman who knows you cant do anything if you do not catch them before the act. If the owners of this company do not agree with this description then alter your website directly on your main home page to read bare root plants in a clearly defined section that is unmistakably describing your product as it is sold. Prove that what you are doing is not a bait and switch and your practices are not immoral by adding this one small fact to your description. Or continue to be lowdown rotten immoral scum by continuing the actions you know to be causing such dissatisfaction with your every dwindling customer base. read more

I have never met this family or any of it's farmers. We live pretty far away from where their farm is located and will probably never meet them, but I am impressed. Ordered five mature blueberry plants. They arrived exactly during the time that I requested and are all thriving. They sent me great blueberry plants just as ordered and promised. Picked loads of berries off just ONE of their plants which yielded FIVE TIMES the amount of fruit I got off the "sticks" that another company sent me. I had ordered elsewhere online before I found the DiMeo's and I was somewhat scammed by people who claimed they had a blueberry farm but when I Googled their address as shown on their website, I saw that they didn't even have a blueberry farm, but looks like they are just selling plants out of their backyard. I'm not going to name them, but just say to watch out for the fake farmers online! The DiMeo's are THE REAL deal that send out a far superior product than others that are not even actual farmers. BUT, my DiMeo blueberry plants have all produced as promised in this the first summer. THANK YOU FOR BEING REAL, HONEST AND CARING!!! p.s. before you order from any of these online guys, make sure you google their addresses and then compare the photos, you will see who has REAL FARMS and who is just posing a farmers online. Compare the DiMeo satellite photos (of a real working blueberry farm) with other online plant sellers that act as if they are farmers, and you will see what I mean. read more

The hardworking farmers running this pick your own blueberry farm are proper, friendly, helpful and very well organized with all the berry pints ready to go and a with a little business card for when you come back again. I noticed it said "Heirloom" blueberries is their specialty on the card. The pints snap together easily so that no berries spill out after you are done picking. They have a little foot wash station and everything out by the fields, we felt like we were at the beach cause the soil is sandy and beautiful. You can walk barefoot if you want, the soil is that nice and sandy in the blueberry fields. It was easy to get right to the blueberry fields as they have beautiful trimmed and manicured paths around all the different fields with a little white building there with blueberry jams and some very cool wooden blueberry crates that you can buy to pick in if you want but we just went with the pints. Next time maybe we will buy a couple of the old wooden boxes to pick in to add to the cool factor. We found lots of ripe plump Heirloom blueberries that were easy to pick and they are delicious, too. We would definitely go back and recommend it to others. read more

DIRECTLY TO THE BUSINESS OWNER: You are an actual disgrace to the farming community and a shit stain on the underwear of your family legacy. I have only encountered one other company working through Yelp where a family business was passed down to a rotten egg. I told their father who didn't want to hear the bad news that his daughter, although capable of many things, cannot work directly with the public. YOU, my friend, are the SAME. YOU need to never work with the public, vendors or actually anyone from polite society if you want your business to survive. After reading your reviews from Yelp, Google, Trip Advisor and BBB, they have a common and frequent pattern. YOU. YOU will be the down fall of your family legacy. ANY CUSTOMER who has been in contact with you has NOTHING GOOD TO SAY ABOUT YOU. Especially how you treated them. I encourage you to change your behavior or become a "basement worker" because God knows when you see the light of day you are a rude crazy asshole who in my option might quite possibly need to be medicated for your condition and behavior. I would rather has my eyes plucked out than deal with this wacko. Cheers, Erika read more

JUST SAY NO TO DIMEO. READ ONLINE REVIEWS FIRST OR YOU WILL BE SORRY! JUST-SAY-NO...TO-Di-ME-O. WARNING ESPECIALLY TO SOUTH JERSY PEEPS! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH DiMeo Blueberry Farms & Blueberry Plants Nursery They are absolute garbage! I wish we had read the many, MANY online reviews about what a horrible business this is. This jackass is in Hammonton, NJ. The guy is crazy and rude read the reviews. I wish we had. We ordered five plants by personal check. The plant we rec'd was so small and weak (think Charlie Brown Christmas tree) it may have been one. They insisted it was five wrapped up. (Which made it even worse.) Then this moron starts to claim we were trying to extort plants from him. I had a huge chat with him in Facebook where I alternated between dislike and pity. Just a crazy, cruel clown. Other funny thing: he said "oh we don't care about online reviews or complaints with the BBB" - then suddenly I'm blocked from their Facebook page. What happened, tough guy? All over blueberries! LOL. Plenty of other places to get plants. Read some of their reviews here: https://davesgarden.com/products/gwd/c/7646/0/#b JUST SAY NO TO DIMEO read more

Actually it's 0 stars! Stay away, this company is a mail order fraud that "claims" to send you 3 year old plants that are 4' tall ten send you 1 year old plants 16"-24" tall and "explain" to you they had to trim them for shipping!? Impossible that these are 3 year old plants and what Home Depot and Lowes have for $10 are far more mature and better value than this scam garbage. The service on the phone by both Anthony and his wife is no less than rude and bullying and they deserve to starve. DO NOT SEND THEM YOUR MONEY! They mistreat their workers and yell like you would not believe. A new girl was working the phones and you would not believe the way he yelled at her and was condescending to her on the phone where I could hear. The woman, his wife, will listen to you for a minute and when your done speaking goes silent and will not speak until you sau "are you still there?" the shortly thereafter she puts you on hold and never returns even after 15 minutes. These people should be shut down and investigated by the IRS and the New Jersey Attorney General. The BBB has many, many complaints and canot get responses giving them a F rating. read more
I think it's really important for consumers to know what kind of people those who run the businesses they patronize are. The owner of Dimeo Blueberry Farms is a deranged person with anger management issues, unfit for interaction with others. Definitely keep your kids away. Please read the hundreds of negative reviews, all across the internet, that have been left by innocent people, just trying to buy some blueberries, who have been berated, mocked, insulted, harassed, and generally terrified by the owner. Nevermind the poor quality of their product and misleading advertising. Not surprisingly, they have an "F" rating from the BBB. As consumers, the success or failure of a business is ultimately our responsibility; this guy needs to be shut down before he terrorizes anyone else. To make your research easy, aside from what you read on Yelp, take a look: https://davesgarden.com/products/gwd/c/7646/0/#b https://www.bbb.org/us/nj/hammonton/profile/farm/dimeo-farms-0221-90078416/complaints https://dimeo-farms.pissedconsumer.com/review.html Please, be an educated consumer and do business elsewhere! read more
