(My dinner was better:) I also got a bowl of their seafood chowder. It was excellent ! View is beautiful. Seats inside are a bit uncomfortable and wicker-like. There are so many tall chairs in the bar area for seating, the only comfortable seating for folks that don't want to get up on a chair like you're riding a horse, I would recommend either one of the very few booths they have inside or the outdoor seating. They had live music that night. Our server was very nice and checked on us often. The manager also checked on us, which is also a good practice. I also told him how much we were enjoying our meal.

The Coastal Discovery Museum came up in a search of things to do on a rainy day in Hilton Head…read more While there is a museum component in the main house, much of the attractions are outdoors, so something to keep in mind should you visit when it's raining or when the weather isn't ideal. The outdoor component includes several boardwalks, sculptures, a butterfly enclosure, and gardens. It's meant to introduce you to the coastal ecosystem and marsh life, which makes it quite unique. Admission is complimentary and there's a decent amount of parking. The main house and museum (the Discovery House) I would rate a 3.5 out of 5 stars. The volunteers on hand do a good job in welcoming guests and introducing the site so that guests aren't just left to wander on their own. While the permanent exhibits explaining the local area, ecosystem, and history were decent, I felt the more modern artwork was quite underwhelming, with many of the works on display having price tags (leads me to believe it was amateur artwork for sale). It left me wishing the weather was nice so I could explore the grounds, but that wasn't meant to be as there was a downpour of rain outside. If you have free time in Hilton Head, I'd recommend a visit to the Coastal Discovery Museum, but probably moreso when the weather is nice so you can explore the grounds.

They also had live entertainment, which was a great addition. Food has improved. Try the dry rub chipotle wings. They are delicious. Owners: look into the food truck issue. You will lose customers because of this. I did not make an issue of it because I was with a large group and did not worry about the $8 auto tip on a $17 total bill but if this happened all the time it will catch up with you. Worth addressing.

The course was in terrific shape for the July 1 with showing zero signs of wear and greens that had been punched earlier in the month complete grown in while rolling fast and smooth. The course design is outstanding with holes setup to be challenging but fair. You cannot hit driver on every hole because of well-placed bunkering, so it is a good mental test, too. We played as a foursome on 3:50 with a terrific pace. The staff was all extremely friendly and helpful. The driving range was good with plenty of length to hit any club, and the practice green was large.

We have been coming here for years when we visit friends. The pickleball round robins are always…read morefun, but I wish players would be honest about their ratings when choosing which courts to pay on. The matches would be so much better if you played with people that are really your skill level. I truly wish they would put nets between the courts as so many rallies are ruined by stray balls on the courts.
