This firm was given my past dues and set me a letter the dues plus $400 in legal fees. After refusing to work with me they agreed to split the payment. I immediately sent the first half of the payment , which they received/applied on 05/19/25, and 2.5 months later (on 08/06/25) they have sent a new later, demanding more fees including fees to place a lien on my home. When they decided to accept splitting the payment there was zero mention of a deadline of any kind. It's my opinion that this should not be allowed, and may not even be legal. This is probably something someone should investigate so they aren't draining people of money to simply send letters.

If you have one conversation with Mr. Fluke, you will get a sense for this, which is what I experienced. Before retaining Mr. Fluke, I worked with a "pay as you go" lawyer. I started with a small retainer but it seemed to always run out and I was sent a notice in the mail with x number of days to pay more. It was a very impersonal experience with this lawyer and she eventually had to drop off my case due to a conflict of interest. What I found in Mr. Fluke was the exact opposite experience. I found Mr. Fluke by doing a search online and after reading numerous excellent reviews of him, I called him. He was completely up front about what my situation was, what he thought he could help me with and how much it would cost. I found he won't take just any case - he has to feel he has the opportunity to give you what you are searching for, which is to win your case. He won't waste your time or try to retain you as a client as a revenue stream. I worked with Mr. Fluke for about a year and always had his cell phone number in my phone and access to him as needed. My situation was extremely unique as I am a father, who was seeking full custody of a 5 year-old daughter. However, given the details of my case, Mr. Fluke knew I had a shot. There was one point in my case where we were offered a deal to settle and Mr. Fluke encouraged me to do so. At first I wasn't so sure, because I wasn't getting exactly what I was searching for, but he knew better. We took the deal and within months, it helped me to get majority custody. He was able to see the bigger picture and his experience working with other lawyers and judges gave him the insight to guide me in a way that gave me the long term result I wanted. A few months ago, I got majority custody of my daughter, with her mom having every other weekend visitation with her. Even though this was best for my daughter, I had fears about judges favoring mothers, which sadly, is a reality. However, Mr. Fluke's experience allows him to strategize and win cases that seem the unlikeliest to win. He really is at top of his game. He is smart, strategic, and confident, all traits you want your lawyer to have. Also, it is worth noting that after paying my initial retainer, I never paid again. As I mentioned, he is honest about what it will take and doesn't plan to bill you for more as you go. I would highly recommend Mr. Fluke for any legal needs. I know he will be saved in my phone book for any future needs I may have.

We provided comprehensive evidence to this firm throughout five years, expecting diligent representation. Communication was inconsistent, and we feel our legal matter was not given the professional attention or priority it required. For over half a decade, there was minimal action, several delays, and a structural failure to prepare and advance our legal matter in a timely manner. Before the trial, we were patient and understanding since the whole world was dealing with covid. So meanwhile we just continued accumulating more evidence. We looked into finding / locating our own witnesses and professionals that would help stregthen our case. Shawn did not do any of this, he was too busy with his bankruptcy cases. He even sent the subpoena's just 2 business days before our trial date. Many of our witnesses had prior engagements. Unfortunately, despite having all documentation provided upfront, Shawn Yesner did very little to no preparation for himself, our witnesses and for us. All this in the next five years timeline that we got little to no preparation, nor good results and this is unacceptable for professional legal counsel. Unacceptable is, Yesner preparing himself during our trial. He didn't even know our home layout and kept apologizing because he seemed lost. We would go through the large stack of printed pile of evidence and handed it to Yesner, but he didn't use it. He didn't even hand in to the judge 1/16 of our evidence. Our 5 years of evidence was all in our usb and printed out on our desk during trial, but Yesner did not hand it to the judge to look at. The only evidence submitted to the judge was just a few print outs that were handed in to the list of exhibits. No wonder our trial had a bad outcome. Not only did we have to pay $57,000 of lawyer fees, court fees, a countersuit and we still have all the repairs that started this case. What took place was so bad that not even an Appelate attorney could help, since not all of our evidence was shown to the Judge. We feel betrayed. We cannot recommend Yesner's law firm and their services for anyone seeking timely or proactive legal support.
