I sent an 8mm film with sound that was shot in the 1950's and 1960's to CinePost. They digitized…read moreit, improved the quality of the colors, lighting, etc., and recovered the sound perfectly. This is after 4 or 5 shops told me it couldn't be done, or else said they would try it but would likely destroy the film in the process, with no guarantee of the outcome. CinePost gave me great advice and returned a digitized version to me in a couple of weeks which was better than the original. My family members are surprised that it turned out as well as it did, and are very grateful that we're able to preserve these priceless family memories. Given that the video is of an area that's now a national park, we've been asked by the community to donate a copy to the local museum. Can't thank Myron and the folks at CinePost enough. I'll be sending some other films to him shortly.

I took my 16 MM film from 1954 to Costco first. Yesvideo scanned it - it…read more was horrible. I could hardly make out the faces. So I returned the scanned material and gave it to Cinepost. The Cinepost scan was much higher quality than Costco. The colors were correct and sharp, the resolution looked good. The only thing I wish they would have done was to lighten the exposure in one part of the film that was dark due to the filming. It cost about double or so the Costco price but if you want a movie that you will actually enjoy watching it is worth it. I was worried the original film would degrade to the point where it was worthless so I wanted to get the content scanned. Cinepost also does not copy protect your scanned film - you can send it to anyone and everyone for free. I used "wetransfer.com" to send to all my family members and friends. Yesvideo makes you pay for CDs with your film on it which can get expensive if you want a lot of copies. Cinepost also contacted me to see if I was satisfied with the results; you won't get this from yesvideo.

I sent Sky an e-mail shortly after my fiancé and I decided to get married in Las Vegas and she replied within 20 minutes. Within a few e-mails back and forth that evening I felt that I did not have to look for any other vendors. Prior to finding Sky, I had filled out a lot of contact forms with other photographers and I felt like none of them had actually read what I filled out. Their e-mail back to me would ask me things that I had already given information about. With Sky, she actually took the time out to read everything I wrote. She also asked questions about me and my fiancé. No one else had really done that before. This definitely set Sky apart from everyone else. I was first drawn to Sky's work because it is colorful and fun. I knew I wanted video because my fiancé and I were eloping and would not have anyone else joining us, but I did not want to have to find one vendor for photography and another for videography. The problem was that I never really cared for video, and I couldn't find any examples of work that was my style. Then I saw that Sky offers stop motion films. It was perfect. I loved how whimsical Sky's stop motion videos are. I love that she makes the wedding rings and shoes dance across the screen. I had finally found a video style that felt like me. I had only been to Las Vegas once about 7 years ago and my fiancé had never been. I had asked Sky for recommendations on where I could take photos. She recommended the Neon Boneyard Museum and I am so glad that she did. I feel those photos she took are so unique. I also told Sky that I was in love with colored smoke bombs and she helped us find that perfect backdrop. This is one of my favorite scenes in the stop motion video. The package that I had picked included an engagement photoshoot. I really didn't think I had time for one since it wasn't in our budget to fly out to Vegas in the months before our wedding date. Sky had insisted that we schedule the shoot and made time in her schedule for the night before my wedding. I am so grateful to Sky. She was in San Diego the morning of and had driven back to make sure that we had time for an engagement shoot and also that we made it to see our Cirque du Soleil show on time. Sky is super patient. I am so awkward in front of a camera! Sky would just talk to us and make me feel at ease. I am glad Sky insisted on the engagement shoot and I have a lot of really lovely photos. I am glad that I have a nice mixture of photos from our wedding trip. The day of the wedding Sky arrived to my room and was keeping track of time. I felt less awkward in front of the camera thanks for Sky and the engagement shoot the night before. Sky had so many creative ideas for the stop motion video. It was so fun and she was so patient in getting me out of my head. I have so many photos of our wedding day. Sky is very amazing and I am lucky to have been able to connect with her. My husband was so impressed with the amount of time that Sky spent with us. Everyone has been blown away by our stop motion video and our photos. Please do not hesitate to book with Sky. I don't take a lot of photos of myself because I am not comfortable in my own skin, but I love ALL of my photos from Sky. She spent a lot of time with us on our wedding day. We started the day around 7am and ended around 8pm. Not once did Sky complain. We were practically on our feet the whole day bouncing from location to location. She kept us on track and made sure that I had all the shots that I pinned from Pinterest recreated. I look forward to when I will be able to work with Sky again. They did not capture one single photo of my father and I. In the 30 sec video they provided, there was a random uncle captured in one of the key scenes instead of my father. The contract stated they would provide final products within 3months. It took them 9months to finally provide us with photos and videos. Out of the 700+ photos, there were maybe 100 of my husband and I, the rest were headshots of the guests. So disappointing. The sound quality of the ceremony and reception videos were shit even though I specifically asked them to capture the sound of the ceremony. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM. They were very hard to reach after the wedding and would not respond to our emails promptly. They were constantly providing false deadlines of when we could expect to receive anything. We begged and pleaded; they are not worth the hassle; especially when you pay such a premium for this service.
