I had been to this office 5 years ago with no problems. I went for a colonoskpy 9/9/24. When I…read morewoke up, things weren't normal. I had a severe headache, my gown was soaked on my left shoulder, my nose was pouring clear liquid, I was coughing and I had bitten my tongue pretty bad. I had heard the anesestiologist tell the nurse I had aspirated, which he later denied saying. When I was getting dressed, I asked the nurse if I had thrown up and she said yes. When I got home and looked at my release papers, there was no mention of this. A nurse called to see how I was doing and I told her what happened and asked why wasn't it noted on my records or why I wasn't suctioned. She said she would check into it. I never got a call back. Two days later, my nose was constantly running, sometimes being a very yellow liquid and coughing up green phlegm along with a sore throat and terrible cough with a low grade fever. I felt like it could lead to pneumonia because there was so much fluid. I was feeling much worse by then. I called his office back to be told my records indicated my procedure was normal other than having 3 polyps removed. An employee told me if I felt that bad go to the emergency room. I went to my regular Dr. She gave me a very strong antibiotic for infection, cough meds, steroid nose spray and an allergy rx for my symptoms. I couldn't get anyone to give me a straight answer so I went to their office yesterday. Same thing. The receptionist was very sweet and professional. Some hateful larger woman came to the window and said she remembered talking to me. I asked if the Dr was aware of my situation. She laughed and said of course. He was in the room. I assume she didn't understand my concerns. After speaking to another office woman, she said they didn't know what goes on in the surgery room. I finally talked to a woman who heard me out but had nothing to add. This was right outside the Dr's own office. He didn't bother to speak to me. I do know some of these symptoms are normal but some could have been avoided if I had known from the start. All I wanted was the truth. If you ever wake up from surgery and know something isn't right , do not leave until it's noted in your records. I hope by leaving this review, someone else is spared from having to go through this.

I have been treated by Dr. Eric Ibegbu close to 15 yrs now and I would very highly recommend him…read morefor any of the procedures and care that he provides. I lived on Camp Lejeune many years ago and suffered cancer at least 5 other major conditions so I do need to be monitored on a regular basis due to my conditions from that contaminated water. Dr. Ibegbu is beyond amazing, extremely knowledgeable/skilled professional and compassionate. I have always been very, very satisfied with all of the care I have been given at the Jacksonville and Kinston office. I just had back to back procedures done by Dr. Ibegbu, the CRNA, Vida and Megan and I would like to thank you all from the bottom of my heart! I recently read a number of the negative reviews here and I totally disagree with them. I was a Surgical First Assistant at Carolina East many years along with working with 3 other Surgeons in New Bern. I know that there are many patients that will never be satisfied personally with anything in life so their opinions about Physicians/Specialist are always going to be equally negative. I'm a native from Jacksonville, NC, I've lived out of the country, in other states here in our country. There's one tragedy that still continues throughout our country and that is racism. Another very sad problem and that's jealousy of very educated and successful individuals. After reading some of these reviews, I have no doubt that most of these negative reviews absolutely involve RACISM which is hate and ignorance. JEALOUSY which together with Racism is a mental illness! Please learn to love your ownself and live a more positive life, people.

This is the worst GI doctor some mine should really investigate her. I came in cause I have been in…read morebad pain in my intestines for a couple years. I haven't gotten any answers at the GI I saw in the past. So I went to her. She told me to continue taking ibuprofen as needed and handed me a diet plan. I explained to her that I am a professional body builder who steady competes so I have done basically the cleanest diet u can do. I've taken things out of my diet but still nothing so I explained that to her. I told her it is altering my life and she looks at me and says "what is it exactly that you want me to do" and she seemed to be bothered by my physical build. So I took the paper and I now see a GI in New Bern which I would recommend going to instead of this joke
