Discussed upgrade with local businesses and nobody willing to do work. Spoke to Difftrans and they were the only repairer that knew what I was talking about. Having had a Harrop e-locker installed by difftrans previously I discussed my needs with owner and settled on a complete gearbox rebuild, new mainshaft and 5th gear upgrade. found 4 gear and syncro showing wear needed replacing and fitted for free. They also fitted a new clutch and checked vehicle diffs and suspension also.
Old GU Patrol now drives like new. Gears are so smooth to change. They even opened the shop on week ends as I was travelling from out of town. Worth every cent I paid and I very happy with service. Second time I have used this business and will not hesitate to use again. read more
