You should know the tactics Clint Newman used to try to ensure my negative review wasn't left. He…read moretried many times to wave money over my head in exchange for my silence & not discussing my failed procedure. That's awful & unfair to patients trying to find truthful reviews. Here's a truthful review of Clint Newman because I can't be bought. I paid $27,000 in full the day my veneers were done on 01/04/23. They looked perfect. When the permanent ones came in they looked nothing like the temporary. They are smaller, rounder, not straight, the bottoms aren't even & are various lengths. They look like my original teeth. I told him this & sent pictures. He said he'd replace the front 4. I had 10 done. If only 4 were replaced it would look silly. I told him I'd pay $5,000 to have 2 more done so the front 6 matched. After that he had an awful attitude towards me & was so disrespectful. He was rude & condescending that I was unhappy with his horrible work. This concerned me as he'd be responsible for altering the physical appearance of my teeth. Removing veneers can damage the remaining tooth structure. This scared me. I asked that the lab make a wax up for my approval before agreeing to let him redo these. I didn't feel confident that he could get it right w/out seeing this. He refused. He offered without me ever asking that "If you don't feel confident that I can help get you where you want then I'll refund you the money minus lab cost and you can get someone else to do it". I accepted his offer bc I didn't feel confident or comfortable with him doing it a 2nd time. He then tells me he'll refund $15,000 only if I sign an NDA as well as signing away all of my legal rights. That was never part of his offer to refund this cost. I paid $27,000 for veneers that look nothing like they were supposed to. Now he's telling me to sign a document that says I can't speak of this procedure in anyway or have any legal rights moving forward. I told him I wouldn't sign this for money. It was an unethical bribe for a partial refund. The next day he emailed a Non Disparaging Agreement saying once I signed it they would issue a check. His words were "I'm not paying anything without the signed agreement." Remember, I never once asked for a refund. He said "You got an ELECTIVE procedure done. I don't owe you anything....yet I'm offering 15k. There's zero chance I'm paying you any money without it. Either sign it and take the money or do whatever you need to do and get zero." I don't know why he kept trying to pressure me into signing it bc I made it clear that I was disgusted & appalled by his attempt to silence me & I would never sign it for any amount of money. I then felt it necessary to file a dispute with my credit card company for the amount originally offered with no strings attached. I asked what lab costs were so I could deduct it from the $27K to reflect his offer. He refused to tell me so I had to dispute the full amount. My credit card company sided with me in dispute & $27K was refunded. I got a letter saying repay it or I'd be turned over to collections. We called his attorney & were told to pay it plus $9,000 in attorneys fees. We instantly paid $36,000 They sent the check back & said pay $27K & sign the agreement. Another unethical scare tactic to bully me into signing. It disgusted me about the situation & the people I am dealing with. I'm heartbroken this is the result & I wouldn't recommend this dentist to my worst enemy. People have the right to see true reviews Everyone is entitled to give their honest review without a dentist trying to strong arm them by waving money over their heads & using debt collection tactics with paralegals which are illegal. I will not be intimated by either of these individuals that I have less than zero respect for. Clearly they thought they could bully me into this. Clearly they got it all wrong. I am not that patient. For some reason this joke of a dentist is arrogant & has a huge ego. To reply to a patient review saying "any idiot can jump online and trash a business "for leaving a review is disgusting. The way he spoke to me was revolting & disrespectful. I do not need or want his money. Let's be clear he offered a refund. I never asked for it. I wanted him to fix what he did so horribly. I disputed the charge out of principal bc he offered this & then changed his offer into a bribe to sign NDA. It was to teach him a lesson that he might be able to bully others around with money but not me. Also 3 teeth still hurt & will most likely require root canals per my endodontist & per his own website he uses images of models instead of just using his patients. Pathetic!

It's true that for routine care the majority of your time is with the hygienist. In my experience this has become pretty standard practice for dentists and I don't personally mind. Dr. Eckel checks in at the end of the appointment, is efficient and polite, always asks whether you have any questions. Cons: Allow extra time to park. Ongoing construction nearby plus busier days around the office complex have made things tricky--sometimes I find parking right away, sometimes it can take me up to 10 minutes.

My husband and I were patients of Dr. Eckel for several years. During that time we only saw the…read moredoctor briefly, barely a glance. We have excellent dental insurance, and already had excellent teeth, prior to seeing him. We actually felt that we only were there to see the hygienist, since we only saw Dr. Eckel, in passing. While he appears personable, his business practices are anything but. First started when he tried to charge us for an appointment his mother had made for us, before the 6 months between appointments. She was answering the phone and (he admitted) did not know to check. Since we were only seen there, they knew when we were to be seen again. He stated she didn't know how to do the appointment, yet he was going to charge us, until we said no. Later, we tested positive for COVID prior to our appointments. We called and were told that there would be a fifty dollar cancellation fee. We asked for clarification that it was fifty dollars, all together, as there were 2 of us. It was confirmed. We later got a text saying it was, in fact, one hundred dollars. We phoned several times, left messages, and were not given the courtesy of a reply. We instead got a nasty text from his office stating that he had given us a break before (when his mother clearly made the mistake) so, we were to pay the fee, including the extra fifty dollars. We truly have no idea if he is good at dentistry, since we never really saw him. Though, we are sure our dental insurance was billed as if we did, for years. We can attest to his business practices. He does not care if he keeps good patients. We can only think that his temper gets the best of him. What other reason to treat good patients like he did. He is a shady business man. They literally beg you to leave good reviews. And, text you the same after the visit! Avoid at all costs.
