It's a little hard to review the Elks Lodge because there are 3 or 4 different things going on…read morehere. First of all it's a charity. It provides fundraising for local charities through its chicken dinners and runs several charity programs of its own, mostly focused on local youth. An example is providing lunches for poor kids in the summer when school is out. Second it's a restaurant that is open to the public for the chicken dinner fundraisers that happen frequently on Sundays from 11-1. The dinner includes a buffet line of fried chicken, roast beef, mashed potatoes, corn, green beans and Cole slaw. Occasionally there is something different like noodles made in house. There is a dessert buffet table as well. The desserts vary as they are furnished by the charity that is raising funds. The charity also providers the table help. The Elks splits the proceeds 50/50 with the charity and the charity keeps all of the tips. Our Rotary club did this last year and I know this is a huge help to local schools and nonprofits. You have to see which Sundays this is offered by following them on Facebook or driving by and seeing the white sign advert the dinner (and all the cars in the parking lot). We were hesitant about this at first because we weren't members, but anyone is welcome on Sundays for this. Third, they have a restaurant that serves supper on Tuesdays, chicken wings on Wednesdays and fine dining on Fridays. You have to join to eat on these nights (we did). The steaks or special on Fridays are very good. The supper on Tuesday is a different item every week. We've caught a few of these and enjoyed them. The fourth aspect is that they have a bar open on the nights they serve supper. It's kind of a social club atmosphere since the patrons are members and know each other. It's a very worthwhile organization. We got hooked by the chicken dinners, it's among the best fried chicken in the area. Now we end up going often because our great- nieces love to go on Sundays. And the charitable and evening dining aspects make it definitely worth joining.

This bank will only give a portion of deposited check at a time and charges fees to have access to…read moreyour own money. Now they have started to withhold Checks for no given reasons and the tellers will give you the run around and act as if you've done something wrong, when asked to correct this. Now they have held one of my checks (had full access to the money for 2 days) causing a overdraft (paying extra at the time for overdraft protection) and charged a 20dollar fee. Avoid this bank at all costs.

Terrible banking authority! We are on a receiving end of a…read morepayment. We have been denied with many excuses, one including, "we are a possible fraudulent company receiving money." Our company has been in business over ten years with above 4.9 rating. Very disheartening. Second, individuals over seeing the process stating our information was more than a year old (our wiring/ACH instructions including our banks Vice President's signature). However, it clearly states in the heading OCT 7 2025, which is far from a year old, much less wiring instructions do not go out of date. Who trained this individual. Not the consummate professional, at all! The banking authority is far from professional as well. These employees have refused phone calls including both parties for verification purposes, and much more. We changed the date to reflect current. I hope that the other party on the other end, after 6 days of tiresome energy, closes his accounts here and moves to someone who caters to their clients better. Yes caters. We have had 30 plus phones calls just on my end, 6 days of headaches, with all excuses from this banking authority. I am writing this review in the middle of a trip on the side of the road. This is how aggravated I am over 1 bank wire. Never in my life!!! I hope the individual responsible for this headache in the bank, drops their phone in the toilet while reading this review about them. Then I hope they get fired. Lack of attention to detail. Lack of proper communication. EDIT: They claim they had several options after reading my review. How do you have these options when you were supposed to reach out yesterday, but never did??? Day number 9 and guess what they requested now!? For our actual bank to email them wiring instructions. Yes! We have wires go into this account weekly. Never an issue. This is even after a letter head with banking authority posted, etc. I am truly appalled at this situation. Learn to take care of client services better!!! I have 3 companies. If you did this within one if those 3 companies, youd be terminated. Terminated for wasting our client valuable time and most definitely, their money. Your CEO has also been notified of this issue. Edit 10:26 Am March 19 Money was sent and retracted by your bank. We found out a bank has been emailing your institution about 10 times and now you still refuse to conduct a wire. We will make sure you come to a 1 star rating for wasting our time and money. Last EDIT: Fri March 20th. 5pm. Account holder drove from out of state, to the banking authority. Ready to call the police because of denied services while withholding funds. Bank said they were uncomfortable and will issue a check on Monday- with a closed account. The uncomfortable entities are all businesses here, who gave you our money to hold. How in the world is a bank uncomfortable? Glad to be ridden of this terrible banking authority. Mind you not one person within has done anything they committed to.
