Chances are you'll be failed several times for…read moretrivial reasons unless you get lucky and happen to be riding with an examiner who is training a new person. That is the only time they have to explain their decision to someone else and make it sound rational. Otherwise the examiner's decision making is completely arbitrary and seems to be geared to make you pay another 250 euros for another exam. ------------- This is a pretty nice place, as far as faceless life-altering bureaucratic offices go. They have a sunny open-plan architecture, with plenty of waiting room couches and lots of public transit options available for getting there. Plus lots of gossiping teenagers hanging out in front of the building. So far I have only taken my written theory exam here. I recommend coming 45 minutes early for your exam because they can call you in for it early. The way it works is you check-in to the automatic kiosk, kind of like checking in for a flight at a kiosk at the airport, and then your reservation number is shown on a board in the waiting area. Every time someone is moved up in line to start their test the board beeps to alert you to check your status again. Eventually the status next to your reservation number will change to tell you to put your stuff in one of the lockers. This is a good time to take your last minute panic pee and suck down whatever coffee or club mate drink you think can save you now. Once your done figuring out how the lockers work the board will probably tell you to go to the exam room. Go to the 'theorie examen' desk and show them your ID, and they'll tell you which computer to sit at in the exam room. Be sure to remove all watches and phones and metal things from your person and put them in the locker, as you have to walk through a metal detector to get into the exam room. Inside it's all touch screens, no mice or keyboards, and cameras on your face and hands. Also the cameras are being watched by a person in the room, so they're kind of serious about security there. After your test is done, you'll get results instantly, which is nice, and they'll send you the results via e-mail. And then you're done!
