I shopped around some of the Dirndl/ Lederhosen stores in Vienna and found Danielas to have better pricing. I was really surprised by the personal attention of the shopkeeper and her honest opinion on what fit (and what just doesn't). Although the store is rather small she has a nice selection. I just wish they would have a larger mens department. Definitely recommend that store for Traditional Austrian clothing.

It's all cashmere - mostly sweaters with some accessories (scarves, gloves, hats) thrown in. In the context of other stores in the area and quality cashmere in general, the prices are on point. I grabbed some gloves for €55. Overall, the service is at a high level, the merchandise is very high quality and the styles are classic. Go during the sales and grab a sweater at less than half price!

They sell many of the formal looks for the Viennese balls, so you can imagine the detail and quality of the work. The prices are reasonable, too, considering their quality and history. Remember that if you don't live in the EU, you can get the VAT sales tax refund. I love their different varieties of "smokings" (tuxedos). Turnaround time for tailoring is fast but try to come early if you are only in town a few days. Love this shop.

Kenny went in specifically for a tuxedo but walked out with a frack look which was an exceptional tailcoat with many intricate layers inside. It was really nice seeing what the best type of evening wear for a man was out there. I learned so much about buttons, fabric, the time of day wear, and how many fingers a vest had to be past the jacket! I was expecting a crazy amount of pay but I was so pleasantly surprised by how amazing Allen was so we definitely got our purchase and ready for pick up indoor days with our tailoring. I was concerned about the fit of the coat and they agreed to alter it for me. I paid for the coat and then was handed another bill for 80 euros for the alteration. I immediately said that I would get it altered at home and was told that the alteration had already started and I would have to pay it. I protested some more and they brought the coat out with the sleeve ripped apart and said I could take it the way or pay the fee. Being at a complete disadvantage I agreed to the outlandish fee. To make matters worse when it was delivered to my hotel the alterations were awful. When I got home I had to have them all redone.
