The service in this store is horrible. While trying to buy apparel, there were less than 3 people in the store and the staff were all talking about nothing. I ordered 2 hydro flasks on Thanksgiving Day. FedEx lost my first package. Dicks sent a 2nd package with one-day shipping on 12-10-19. 10 days later, I still do not have it. FedEx hasn't updated tracking in 3 days. I was on hold for 63 mins today with customer service. They said they were putting me one-hold to check something and hung up on me. After 63mins, I expected a call back because they have 2 phone numbers on file for me. Nope! Did an online chat instead and they refused to let me pick up in the store instead of delivery that is probably lost again. Wont have gift by Christmas now. read more

Always like Dicks SG for their selection. Went in looking for gifts for my nephews(4) and wanted something for out Lake Tahoe vacations. Ended up getting jr kayaks from lifetime. Both the manager (Kyle I think) and Stephen from outdoors where fantastic. They helped with selection and ordering(not in stock) and shipping. Great value with great service. Two stars because they have great Nike options for clothing but, why so low you may ask? A lot of the clearance section is mixed with full price stuff so it's kinda confusing to see what's on sale. So I had an item in particular that I need to price check so I go to the lady with the blonde peekaboo's in her hair. She says she has no scanner with no emotion at all nor a greet when walking in her area. So I'm like okay and I proceed to look for a fitting room and notice that it's button for assistance so I wait for five minutes and no help. I go back to the same lady and ask for a fitting room and she says she has no keys and turns around to continue merchandising. She is a bigger girl probably around 5'7 with a lip piercing I think. How did very good experience this afternoon. Was looking for a pair of children's cleats for my son's soccer team and was told they had limited sizes but still took the time to check the stockroom. Found what we needed and as we proceeded to check out we were asked if we wanted to join the club, we provided our email address and received an additional 10% off our total purchase. I pre-ordered a pair of Nike basketball sneakers. My confirmation said they would ship in 5-7 days. After 10 days I called and was told they would ship in approximately a week. A month later I got an email canceling my order because they couldn't fulfill it. When I called to get an explanation I was told they were out of stock. Meanwhile they had my sons size available for purchase online 2 days prior. If they are available online, why couldn't they fulfill my order. Instead of offering to find the shoes at a store, their idea of compensation was to offer me 10% off a $200 purchase. We have always been loyal Dick's customers and we love the in-store experience. However, we have placed our last order with them on-line. The last three on-line purchases I have tried to make (two for cleats, one for shoes) resulted in: 1) cancelled order two days after shoes were supposed to be shipped, 2) obviously used cleats delivered in a severely damaged box, and 3) cancelled order three days after placing it. The only thing their on-line ordering has going for it is it is easy to take the damaged or used products they deliver back to the store. If you can't buy it in the store, I would look elsewhere. read more

Wow. Where do I begin? We visited the store on a rainy Saturday afternoon looking for a jacket. No one seems to work here. My husband looked for an associate to help him with pricing on a jacket that wasn't labeled correctly....no one was to be found. I walked around both the 1st and 2nd floor looking for the restroom. The sign said restrooms were located in the "Fitness Area." Really?! As I walked around, I noticed many frustrated patrons looking for help. Fishing, golfing, hunting....each area of the store had frustrated people looking for help. I did not find one associate to help me locate the restrooms. I made my way back downstairs and my husband was still looking for the price of a jacket. He asked the cashier to quickly scan and check for him between customers and she refused and pointed to the back of the line. He also asked her where the restrooms were and she just replied "2nd Floor." Really? Really? Ok. That's when we decided we weren't dropping $200 on an overpriced North face jacket. But who knows? Maybe it was on sale? Oh. best part...they have signs that say "need help, press here" ....assuming a button would be close by?! Nope. Nothing. Worst. Place. Ever. Horrible service, horrible products. They don't give a crap about the customer. I bought a 1600.00 dollar pitching machine, they sent me a 500 dollar the wrong machine . I spent hours on the phone with customer service over 7 calls. Trying to get it resolved with the promise that the "specialist" team would contact me within 24 hours. I was never contacted. On the 7th call I was told that they were out of stock of the 1600.00 dollar pitching machine, which is why they sent me the 500 dollar machine. I also received an email saying that I could keep the machine and get a refund for 15% return on the original purchase....so that would be about 1400.00 paid for a 500.00 dollar machine? I told them to please refund the entire amount which they refused to do until I drove to there store an hour away. And returned the machine. I will never purchase anything from dicks sporting goods again. And I want everyone to know what a pos store this is. Its the kind 9f service you would expect from a small single store owner that is worried about the single sale, not the kind you would expect from a large chain. Talk about lack of customer service. February 11, 10:44 am was attended by Alyson who never gave me any kind of greeting at all upon walking up to the register, simply took my glove rang it up, told me to put in my card. Upon completion of transaction put my glove in bag and said here you go, no thank you at all. During the transaction 2 other employees were around and all of them were just chit chatting. It I could give it no stars I would. Worst customer service ever. I bought baseball pants for my son and cashier rang all 8 pairs wrong! I had to come back into the store to have the price adjusted. Cashier was irritated that she had to correct it and kept sighing LOUDLY! When I return a few of the pants because they did not fit, the manager said the computer shows they were returned already (as they were in my hand). Lots of going back and forth and he finally returned them while there were 10 people waiting in line to pay. Original cashier showed up and made a snide remark. I found it hard to decide on an overall rating for this review for several reasons. First of all, I never received what I ordered. A week or so after it should have arrived, it still showed "in process" and had not shipped. I did an online "chat" with customer service. The person I spoke with was apologetic and said she would get it sent right out. It still didn't come. Another customer service rep, Shakadi W was helpful and understanding, but even though she got my order right, the distribution center packed and sent the wrong item. I was angry and unhappy. I called customer service again. The first person I talked with was not helpful, stating that the item was no longer available and there was nothing she could do. The one helpful thing she did was put a manager on the phone. Rhonda was very understanding and took care of everything. She went to the effort to find a similar-type item, get me a refund for the original purchase, and made everything work out well. Her dedication and determination to make me a happy customer went above and beyond, and I would like to say thank you! In the end, I decided to make this review about Rhonda and Shakadi, and they both gave me a 5-star experience. read more

Ordered a facemask for a batting helmet which was delivered- minus the hardware kit to mount it. Contacted customer service via chat line and was told that I could order the kit at my own expense or ship back the existing order for a refund? First, the kit was supposed to be included in the order, secondly, there is a kit available from Dick's that could have been sent to me at no charge because of their mistake but, no couldn't and wouldn't do that! Look, I understand mistakes happen, but when you don't do the right thing when acknowledging said mistake, I lose all respect. Dick's Sporting Goods has an excellent selection of women's workout apparel at affordable prices. I was a little sad when Sport Chalet closed down due to the many memories going there as a child for clothing and equipment for team sports. I like REI stores too, but they have a smaller selection of brand name athletic wear to offer customers and I feel they have a better store offering during the colder months. Dick's has a lot of cute Lucy, Nike, and Reebok for women and their floor display is spacious and appealing to the eye. Check it out! read more

2 floors to this location. Unfortunately for the amount of space they have there are never any associates. I needed a specific batting glove for a gift. Looked online and it said this location might have it. Came in and their batting glove display was horrendous. There were some missing brands were mix together as well adult and youth sizes. So it was just a big mess. When I finally tracked down someone to help me see if they had anything, I was told that usually if they don't have it even though it shows you do it most likely means it was stolen and still in inventory. If that's correct then you this location was missing 4 pairs of the gloves I needed. read more

Employees at the cash register need better training & knowledge of store policies. Lying to customers doesn't solve anything but create bigger problems and avoidable hassles. I had purchased a cooler cup for a friend for Christmas back in November & asked if a gift receipt was needed to do an exchange from this location. The cashier stated no so I went ahead & gave the gift away, to come to find out it was of course the wrong one. The recipient proceeded to go exchange it @ a different store where they said without a receipt you get the lowest selling price, regardless if it's a straight exchange, so a difference would of been owed. So I went ahead & stopped by the original store I purchased it to reprint the receipt so an exchange could be processed BUT NOOO Julie, the so called "Manager" was anything but helpful. As soon as I said I needed to reprint a receipt from a purchase I had made, she rudely interrupted "Well you have to call corporate", not even allowing me to finish. So I proceeded to ask even if I paid with a card & signed up for the loyalty program, she again cut me off saying "Well I don't know the number and I don't know what you want me to do for you". After Julie radioing for the number and writing it down, she became concerned and asked again "wait was it you needed again". The customer service is DIRT POOR from her & for being a Manager of the front of the store operations, where a majority of all sales run thru. If zero stars were available for the Prosper, Texas firearms department manager, I would select that. I have never had a retail encounter where the department manager was as rude and condescending as this fellow. My 15 year old son and I were attempting to trade in his old shotgun on a new one. The language that the firearms manager used and the posture that he took was simply remarkably bad. Other patrons witnessed it and the Girl Scouts were next to the door witnessing it as well. My sport is mostly boxing they always have what I need for any occasion weather it's for Gloves, punching bags, stands, free weights, cardio equipment, strength equipment, ect... The prices for it was very affordable and had a nice selection, more so than Big 5 does Anyways, I purchased 3 packs of them, one pack that came as one and the other two that came in pairs. It amounted to a mere $13. While I am a little annoyed that the cash registers are only downstairs despite the store's two levels, I am very pleased with the customer service. If there were a way to put Zero stars I would have...I was a big Fan of this establishment until today when their staff members including a manager failed to help me with a situation with 4 Of my debit cards and 2 credit cards. Their VeriFone system kept declining me and instead of trying to help process my purchase they stood there, looked at me like they couldn't do anything as if it were my problem and shrugged their shoulders. As a business owner myself, my staff is fully trained in helping out the customer in making sure each transactions are tended to and done smoothly with the full satisfaction of the customer. I proceeded to pay cash for my purchase because I was in need of the cooler for my daughter's bday party and each of my cards had more than enough to cover the transaction.
