Dickey's has the best fried okra & jalapeño and cheese sausage in town. They are a little on the expensive side for a 2 meat plate wth sides, but definitely worth it. The sliced brisket is good and the Mac n cheese and always gooey and cheesy. Love this place! read more

Good food, but it's really frustrating when they're sold out of half the menu almost every time I come here.

We stopped in and got the family pack to go. It came with a pound each of brisket, sausage, and ribs. It also came with a side of beans, potato salad, fried okra, and rolls. All of this for $39. First of all, the place is really cool on the inside. It looks like a BBQ place should. The smells and aromas when you walk in the door are very good as well. The girl behind the counter was super cool and helpful. We placed our order and sat down. Within 5 minutes we were walking out the door with what seemed like enough food to feed a small army. So we get home and start digging in. The brisket was way overcooked. The pork ribs were a little overdone as well. The sausage, however, was the best of the meats that we got. The side dishes were good; we really liked the okra. The best part of the whole meal though were the rolls. I would crawl across a desert of broken glass to eat those again. Anyway, I thought the brisket and ribs were lacking in quality and that's why I'm giving them 2 stars. read more

Every time I have gone to this location my order is wrong. They forget something or give me the complete opposite of what I ordered. It's bbq and it's all pretty much the same so I usually don't complain but it's the indifferent and rude employees that really bother me. read more

Not sure where to begin with this place. The good...the beans didn't suck, the service was great and you get free ice cream (not just if you check in on yelp, so don't feel special if you fell for that). The bad, most everything else. The one thing that stood out the most to me was how the membrane was still on my ribs and wasn't removed prior to cooking. Not sure how this is a chain store with food quality like this. read more

Dickey's is fast food BBQ, so that is what you are going to get. If you are looking for local Texas BBQ, I would go some place else. But, if you want a quick BBQ lunch, which will be good, not out of this world, but good food. I am not a fan of their potato salad, the sides I think are good would be the fried Okra, made fresh when you order it. The green beans are also good. Other than that I have not found much else I would call good or great. I do make my own blend of 1/2 sweet and 1/2 hot bbq sauce, which I like. When I am on the west side of town and need a fix of bbq Dickey's is the place. read more

I used to love Dickey's, but my last visit there was terrible and by reading these other reviews it seems that this BBQ place is just not trying anymore. I sent my husband to pick up a simple order of two sides: fried okra and the jalapeno beans. He ordered online. He got to the store when it was supposed to be ready and he ended up waiting 45 minutes for two sides! He watched customer after customer with larger orders come, order and leave for 45 minutes. He brought home the beans that seemed to be dumped straight from the can into the Dickey's container. Definitely not the same ones we used to love. The fried okra was bland and so disappointing. I used to like the ribs and the cheddar sausage and the mentioned sides, but I don't think I will be going back there until I hear things have improved. read more

Excellent customer service!! I was delighted by their hours to start off. Went in at 9am & ordered lunch for clients. The manager told me they were only serving breakfast but he'd be happy to get my lunch order ready anyway ;) So I decided to try a breakfast taco w sausage & he hooked me up w a free brisket & egg taco while I waited. I don't know how they can call this "Texas Barbecue". It is very much franchise food like you would have coming out of California. The food is way over priced and not at all worth it. My wife got the baked potatoe with her brisquet and the majority of the potatoe was spoiled. My pork and chicken tasted exactly the same. If I had to find one good point about the place it would be that the cups are large. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE. read more

We always enjoy Dickeys. It's not the best BBQ in the world but it's pretty good. The service is amazing for Midland standards. Cashier was friendly and fast. Food was served at a reasonable time but not lightning fast. Spicy sausage, okra and fries are delicious. Brisket is good. The sauce is flavorful and full. I would recommend Dickeys. It's better than most BBQ places in Midland. I haven't tried all yet though. read more

No stars, just went through the drive through and asked for lean brisket plate, two kids meals, and a two meat with lean brisket, and jalapeño sausage. Get home the brisket is full of fat, with only one order. Also one order on jalapeño sausage. I brought up cause on the menu for the drive through it said kids eat free on Sunday I ask about this and she says only if they eat inside. I called and they said drive back up here, so now I have to waste more time and fuel money to drive another 10 miles out of my way because their incompetence! The sad thing is the owner of this Dickey's has never done anything to make it right and hires these people constantly. This is ridiculous and I will be writing corporate about the constant disasters of this restaurant because by the looks of it this restaurant has had a lot of bad reviews and this isn't my first displeasure with this Dickey's! They have a consistently good BBQ. The only problem with me, its a little too commercialized . Like a BBQ factory. I am not a fan of this type of BBQ. I like the mom and pop joint where their meat prep and smoking is an art and love, not a technological marvel.they do turn out a consistently good product, but it is just that, a product. read more

Stopped at the new one of east Wadley yesterday and ordered two sliced brisket sandwiches. Only time I've ever been asked if I wanted cheese on it. Other than that the brisket was dry and uninspiring and the buns were a little stale. The fried okra was very good. read more

The girl at the window was wonderful with a great sense of humor. The brisket sandwich was bland and full of fat and pecan pie really isn't something you can serve by the piece wrapped in plastic wrap and no other kind of container without it turning into a messy wreck - WHO at corporate EVER thought this was a good idea?? Worst experience with a restaurant EVER! We've eaten there before. The food is good but I've never placed an order that I wasn't told they were out of something. Stopped by several times to grab some food for the family. The turkey is nice and tender, the sausage is great too. Chicken and beef are just fine too, just a little overcooked to me, but I like rare meats so that may be what you want. Sauces are good, and the spicy is actually hot! Sides are good, weak point might be the mac. I'll be going back. If your after fast food this is as good as it gets. Most people can't even beat their flavor at home. Esp. in a hurry. read more

The food is decent, but the restaurant is freezing. When it's forecast to be in the 80's the thermostat shouldn't be set at 66 degrees to keep the workers comfortable. It should be about the customer. read more

After waiting 45+ minutes in the drive-thru for a total of 6 vehicles to order I could care less what their food tastes like at this point. Once we got home, we then find that half of our order is missing. Of course it is the cranky toddler's food who has been sitting in the car the whole time. Most places I would just go back and pick up the missing food, but it would probably take an hour this time. Never coming back. read more
