I have no words to describe this place. I show up with a few friends to grab some pizza on our way home. We ordered and had to wait 20 minutes to get our pizza. To be clear thats not my problem there was one employee and he was really doing his best. But what was the problem is the horrible quality of the pizza. I would say that it is a farce to even consider this pizza. It was this oddly crispy thin deep dish style raw cheese cold abomination. It was so strange the crust was insanely crunchy to a fault however the cheese, sauce, and pepperoni were uncooked as far as I could tell. I dont know if this was a one off incident or if this is the regular but I can yell you it was not for me. It shocks me that it can take 25 minutes to prepare one cold pizza. We were in the mood for pizza and DiCarlo's had a 2 slice special for $5. Perfect. We also got a couple of bottles of water for $3. Fair prices. When the pizza came out, we were surprised to see unmelted shredded provolone on top. But it did melt on the hot pizza slices! Great idea. The sign said "taste the best" and it was. We enjoyed the crunchy on the bottom and melted cheese on top. We also like the choice of programming on the tv - Let's Make a Deal & Password. Nostalgia! The bathrooms were clean and big enough for a wheelchair. I'm always cognizant of this since my girlfriend needs wheelchair accessible places to go. Inside was also accessible - wide areas, with tile that looks like wood planks. The gentleman who took our order and made our pizza was personable and efficient. He told us that his was the only DiCarlo's outside of Ohio AND with indoor seating. This was a pleasurable lunch venue with good pizza and good service! read more

Totally forgettable. It's sold as "Ohio Valley" pizza. It's 4x4 "slices" of pizza that beckon back to school lunchrooms, and not in a good way. It took a while to get it too. Ohio must be hurting for good pizza is all I can conclude. The best I can say is it was convenient. read more

Best pizza in Knoxville Great service. It's definitely valley style and I grew up on it. Shredded provolone and cold pepperoni on top is the best. Get the 4 slice box. Perfect. Don't eat any other pizza in Knox. The guy who works there is the best. read more

Where has this pizza been all my life!? It's different than any pizza I have ever had and it's not common to any other establishment. The crust is crunchy and addicting! I'm not sure but I believe the reason they put the cheese on AFTER baking is to keep the crust light and crispy. Ohio Valley style pizza is definitely not for everyone and I would not say it's my favorite style of pizza but I am happy to see it come to Tennessee, nonetheless. If you are not familiar with the concept, Ohio Valley, (or as we used to call it Stubenville style) pizza bakes the crust and sauce then adds shredded cheese and pepperoni after the bake. It sounds very weird but the crust is actually really crispy without being cracker thin and there is something about the cold cheese that just works. Personally I prefer just cheese but pepperoni is always an option. You can also order extras like banana peppers and marinated mushrooms on the side. If you are really just thrown by the cold cheese concept they do offer a pizza roll that is fully baked, cheese and all. The inside of restaurant looks great. White tile and red chairs are simple but clean and inviting. The staff are friendly and happy to explain the concept to those that are unfamiliar. The only reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 is the drink selection. They have only been open a few days so I'm sure it could change but the drink options were bottled water, glass bottle coke and Milo's sweet tea or lemonade. No sugar free options besides water. I thought $4 for coke or sweet tea was a little steep but they do offer a larger selection of 2 liters for only $1 more. Drink selection aside I am sure I will be back soon. read more

When I approached It was very nice, giving Italian. Not that much busy. The pizza slices were $3.50 each. If you are lactose intolerant, I will say they are heavy-handed on the cheese. I personally like the cheese. It took eight minutes for the order to be ready. It wasn't that bad and the crust was not dry and it was puffy. Oven baked, of course. read more

Ignore the posted hours on this website as the restaurant is RARELY open. In the last week I have gone to the restaurant twice during business hours to have some pizza and both times they were closed. They are presently running a VERY limited schedule that honestly is impossible to keep track of. In fact, the hours on the front door have been hand painted over with in order to change their schedule, VERY tacky. I will say this, *"when"* they are open, their pizza is fantastic but catching them open during the week is honestly a hit or miss. The pizza is absolutely delicious, they bake the pizza sauce and crust first and then add on the cheese for one of there pizza's and they have a flatbread pizza that is amazing and is kind of cooked like a regular pizza but without the sauce and you get to dip it in the sauce, there is also this pizza roll was so cool, like a calzone but not a calzone. I highly recommend coming here it was so great and I'm pretty sure they stay open really late on the weekends so that's a plus. It's so chill in here and peaceful and the music is perfect for the way Thai place is. read more

I was born in Steubenville, and grew up eating DiCarlos from the original Adams St location in Steubenville. My grandparents were friends with Primo DiCarlo and his wife, and one of the first things my mom ate after I was born was Pizza that Primo brought her in the hospital. Even when we moved south, every trip to see family ended with a cooler of frozen DiCarlos. Thats how serious it was While it's not 100%, its damn close to the original. The cool cheese on the hot crust, gotta get a piece before heading home, and putting the top back on the box to slightly melt the cheese. Delicious! So, why not 5 stars? Folks from "The Ville"(Steubenville, Oh) hold a pretty high bar. Valley style isnt for everyone, it definitely isnt greasy New York Style(still good) or MeatCake Chicago style(bangin). It is unique, and that is what makes it love or hate it. Not sure what temp they have the oven at, but they need to kick it up. The sauce was warm, not hot, which prevented the cheese from melting properly. The sauce was close, but no cigar. A little more bland than the original. Lastly, way too pricey! I get that they are downtown, but $60.00 for a full tray is a full 12.00 more than the average price in OH. Very clean and tidy inside with plenty of space inside. Will be back! read more

Don't let anyone fool you, this place is terrible. All around from customer service to taste of food this experience was really bad. My pizza came out as a complete whole because they failed to cut slices. I asked for a knife to cut my pizza and they said they didn't have one and they couldn't cut it with their knives because I had already touched it. So I had a whole pizza to eat with my hands, and mushrooms as a topping put in a bag on the side (very weird) Don't waste your time here.
