Living in a small community this didn't come as much of a surprise but it definitely spoke volumes on his character. After all his son was instrumental in our daughters academic success. I called the office and was immediately greeted by Mrs. Mullins who is incredibly warm, welcoming, and personal. A consultation was scheduled and covid procedures along with day of instructions provided. On the day of the appointment we checked in at a table set up outside of the practice. Hand sanitizer and temperature checks were provided. We were escorted to an exam room where we waited for the doctor to arrive. Dr. Mullins was extremely knowledgeable, detailed, and personal. He provided more than an estimate. He provided options, explained the reason for the braces, additional procedures available through a periodontist and cosmetic dentist. In the end this was the reason for our decision. Dr. Mullins was the 4th consultation we had for braces and although he didn't come with all the bells and whistles of other practices, didn't take x-rays on the day of the consultation, and was substantially higher in cost than 2 of 4 estimates....he had done something every other doctor had failed to do....he explained what was creating the need for braces, what he could do, and what other dental professionals could do to achieve that perfect smile. In addition he offered a military discount and interest free in house financing. More importantly his entire team made you feel like a person not a just a patient. This place exudes warmth and community. On the day of installation we were once again greeted with hand sanitizer and temperature checks. Paperwork and payment were processed. I was informed the appointment would take approximately 90 minutes and given an overview of what to expect. 90 minutes later our daughter was ready and waiting. Dr. Mullins provided an overview of her procedure, an appointment card for her next visit, a gift bag with an electric toothbrush, super floss, and even got a smile out of our daughter. Early evening we received a call from Dr. Mullins checking in to see if she was experiencing any discomfort and providing his number for after hour emergencies. Without question this is a personal, professional, and family oriented practice. The level of concern and care exhibited is priceless and well worth the investment. Minus one star for our daughters experience during bracket application. Our daughter shared the dental assistant was in training and had expressed during treatment this was her first time, appeared nervous, and would seek approval from a senior dental assistant who was often distracted. She had concerns that 2 of her lower brackets were uneven and closer than the rest. She acknowledged that Dr. Mullins had examined her brackets but insisted she could feel the unevenness in her mouth.

As Sara walked me through the process and possible ways of treatment, check ups and more questions, Dr Laura came in to hear my thought and concerns and made sure I understood how things are working clearing all my doubts, and giving me the courage and confidence in the process wether I decided to move forward with them or not ( I was getting estimates for braces ). For finals I met Branka the office manager, explained more about the process and expectations, finance plans and cost of the treatment, while doing that patiently and professionally. The dentist was dismissive and said the clearly temporary crown that an emergency dentist had put on "looked really good" and asked "Are you sure it's a temporary?". They are trash.
