I recently brought my ring in to have two sizing beads removed. they informed me they cannot do it in the store and it had to be sent out. I did not feel comfortable doing this, but they convinced me that it's totally safe and would be no longer than two days. I trusted them because they were the ones I purchased the ring from. Two days come and go and no phone call. I called them and they said they're still waiting for an estimate and it would take another four additional days! Another four days come and go still no call. I call again and they say it's going to be an additional two days. After those two days I go to the store personally to pick up the ring and it's not there as promised. I told Lou that this is ridiculous now it's been eight days when I was told two days. I was getting worried that my ring was lost and very upset. I wanted my ring back for an event that I was attending, I asked Lou if he could get it for me the next day. He said he would try but no promises and would call me. Never called me the next day. So then finally two days later I get a call. I go to pick up the ring and ask if they could take at least something off of this bill because it's now 10 days when they told me 2. He was polite and admitted that everyone who works in the store agrees that it shouldn't have taken this long but refused to take anything off the bill. The problem was, this supposed quality watch died within about 6 months of gifting it. That really disappointed my friend. Though not complaining, she asked if I could help, as she knew of nowhere near her that she trusted to fix it. She found it was not a battery issue. I brought it to Ronal. Ben examined it and found that I bought it as new, it was an "old stock" watch, and the movement went bad. He explained that it would require a new movement, that this was a Swiss watch and if the Swiss movement was available it would generally cost more than I paid for the watch. He said that he would check into it and asked if a quality Japanese movement would be satisfactory. I approved of his very fair estimate and he had the watch restored in a couple of weeks. My friend was elated to get it back running. I realized afterward that he actually made really nothing on this transaction, after buying the new movement, and did this only to satisfy my needs, as customer service. I believe that is what these people look to do here and for that I am very grateful.

It has been over a year since I walked through his door and I still wake up every morning and love the beautiful creation on my finger and to this day still get compliments on what a beautiful wedding ring set I have. I had been searching all over the island for the "perfect" wedding ring set. I had the perfect diamond in a setting that I liked for all of 2 weeks although it had sat on my finger for more than 8 years. This perfect 2.5 carat, 8 sided diamond, with 88 facets sat in a weak tulip setting that I allowed a jeweler to talk me into and I was determined to not let that happen again. I had an idea of what I wanted and I set out on my search. My fiancé and I hit every major jewelry chain on Long Island and they all had the same type selection and ALL tried to get me to settle for what they had in their display case. Some had even refused to set my diamond in one of their settings and suggested I just buy what they had to replace my near flawless diamond. With 20 days left before I had to leave on my wedding cruise, I decided to stop into that little jewelers next to the Whole Foods in Jericho. I had always wanted to check it out and I figured I was going to have settle again so it wouldn't hurt. I was greeted with warm genuine smiles from David and his staff. I told them what I was looking for and although they had beautiful things that could be modified to be close to what I wanted, nothing was exactly what I was looking for. Then he said the most amazing thing to me. "I can see you are not happy. Why don't we just make it?" And he did. I drew what I wanted on a piece of paper. He took measurements of my diamond, redrew what I had with measurements to give it scale and proper dimension and within an hour my vision was on paper and becoming a reality. He had less than 3 weeks and worked with his team around the clock to create a mold, cast the ring, find 12 perfect diamonds to go with my solitaire, make sure it fit my finger and set my diamond into it, and rhodium plate it. There were many nights (way after the store was closed) that we texted back and forth the work out the details to make sure he was creating what I wanted. David did not want me to settle. It was clear that client satisfaction is his priority and he is truly passionate about his craft. He never charged me a dime extra for his late nights and completed this set for less than a ready-made set at the big chain retailers. When the day came and my ring was complete, it was the most beautiful set I had ever seen. It was better than what I envisioned. We named the rings, The Geslani set, after my new married name. I am stopped by random people who comment on my rings all the time. It has a "peek-a-boo" feature built in where the diamond placed on the side of the wedding band can been seen through the engagement ring. I also only got to try on maybe 5 dresses as they started the appointment late but made sure to tell me I only had 8 minutes left at the end. They put the dress in a bag and handed it to me without really saying anything like they just wanted me out. I don't know if they were new or not interested because there is no commission on a free dress, but I would not recommend. I'm disappointed and jealous of all of these positive reviews by other Brides Across America brides.
