If it hasn't been on that show, not sure why it hasn't. I actually didn't know that there is three floors, so I will have to come back again and check out the other floors. I literally just strolled through the first floor, ha. It was pretty cold in the store on this winter day. So, not sure if the heat works too well. The store clerk was very helpful and attentive. The prices are very expensive. I have no idea what this stuff is worth because I don't but a lot of antiques. It is certainly fun to look at this crazy collection of stuff though.

Why only 2 stars? First, the reliability - I have come by this place many times on my way through this block of 8th Ave only to find them to be closed in the middle of most weekdays. I've mentioned it to others, they all thought it had closed. I imagine I know how Peter felt on Easter morning when Jesus's tomb was open, having come across this store during a time it was open. Second - The staff. We walked in, stayed for about 40 minutes, discussed many of the pieces, and even spoke about buying a few(large) pieces and not once did the woman who (owns?) worked behind the desk look up from restoring a small toy. It's one thing if you don't care to be particularly friendly(Maybe even a good thing - I walked into Mostly Mod after and couldn't get out of there in less than 30 minutes because we kept chatting), but to totally ignore potential customers is unacceptable. So I left empty handed on principal, although there were a few smaller pieces I could have been coerced into buying. Would I stop in again? If I had the option to, yes. Maybe it was a bad day, and the stuff is definitely worth looking at.

Something for everyone! My mom and I found some really nice purses - the owner cleans and sanitizes them prior to selling. She also launders the clothes before putting them out for sale. I also got a trinket and picture frame. Terri, the owner, is so friendly! It's clear she cares about her business and her customers. I've been to this shop twice now and it's such a pleasure. Looking forward to next time I can go back!

There are really curious items in the two floors and always more are arriving, as he pulls them from attic and other places. I'll go back. The owner is well traveled, friendly, and could talk about the items. Some very expensive items and some affordably priced ones. Many of these are unique, so would be hard to find on your own. Includes memoriabilia such as coca cola , from casinos, ships, old electronics, instruments. There was an adorable McCoy cookie jar, and beautiful vases, however, I prefer items less fragile, though they are so beautiful! There were several things I was interested in, I asked if they could cut me a deal for the three items, and they did. But it was still more than I could spend, and they wouldn't budge on the offer. Despite this, the owner was a friendly guy, as was his employee. Prices are moderate, to high. I don't know if you'll find any real bargains in here, but there's always a chance! I'm always on the hunt for something unique to add to my ever growing collection of kitsch. This place definitely delivers when it comes to the unique. It's a rather small shop, or maybe it's quaint. Whatever it is, it is warm and welcoming as soon as you walk inside. I happened in here on a rather bleak day outside and being greeted by the owner when I walked in really made my day. I really enjoyed chatting with her. It not only made me feel welcomed in here, but I also felt that I was more inclined to purchase something since she had shown an interest of my being in her store. There is so much to be found in here that looking around you definitely get nostalgic. I had noticed items that reminded me of growing up. Things that you don't give a second notice while growing up, but grow to appreciate later in life. Bowls that remind you of a family dinner, a toy that reminds you of a family member or just an item that reminds you of a time that you were carefree. Pricing is reasonable and in my opinion, much better than other stores of this type. Although you may not find those bigger pieces what you will find here are some pretty great items that you won't find elsewhere in the city.
