The customer service (in person) was spectacular. I did not provide clear delivery instructions, and the flowers for valentine's day were lost. Without hesitation, he took another order and gave it to me. Although I had to deliver them myself, I was happy to do so to make sure my partner got the day that she deserves. My Son ordered flowers for his girlfriend for Valentines day via FTD. The wrong bouquet arrived and when my wife called D G to let them know the person answering the call cursed her out and told her it was FTD's problem not his. If you live in the Brewster NY area do not use this florist, terrible service, beyond terrible customer service, and can not believe someone with this attitude would even be in business. read more

DG flowers is by far the worst experience I have ever had ordering an arrangement before. I spent over $80 buying the most expensive *all fruit* arrangement that was offered. It was to be a sympathy gift for my boyfriend and his family as he unexpectedly lost his father a few days earlier. Turns out, the complete wrong arrangement was sent to the house. This one contained meats and cheeses. This was a completely understandable mistake. Things can easily get mixed up. However, DG Flower's mistake is the way they handled the situation. Sending this wrong package was actually a really SERIOUS offense to the family as there was beef in the package and they are Hindu and cows are sacred in their religion. This is how the phone call went: 1. Absolutely no apology at all. Whoever answered the phone would not even let me talk or get a word out of my mouth once he found out which order I was calling about. 2. He admitted the basket was not originally what was ordered and he put "extra things" in. Mind you I ordered an all fruit basket. There was 5 pieces of fruit and then all meats and cheese. 3. He then proceeded to say it was the receiving family's fault because they accepted the package! The family did not even know the package was coming at all and they didn't realize there was beef until they unwrapped it. 4. He then stated how he was Jewish and did not care. He said he would not send the original package that I ordered because he was not going to get all the contents of the the first one back. (Knowing that the family discarded the beef because it is not allowed in their religion) 5. Then he hung up on me while I was mid sentence. Luckily they contract through FromYouFlowers.com and the website arranged for a different company in Hopewell Junction to send a really beautiful and extravagant arrangement after they heard how terrible I was treated. While I realize it would be a loss to the DG Flowers to send another arrangement, this was completely DG Flowers mistake and they should have paid for it. It's not anyone's fault but their own that they had to send something that was not even asked for. The way they handled the situation and treated me as a customer was deplorable. They caused a lot of hurt to a family that was already in a lot of pain, and made a difficult situation even more miserable. read more

I received flowers from this florist 2 times. 1st the flowers died within 4 days, recently, the flowers were left at my door in the heat and they are almost dead after 3 days. Horrible customer service with a rotten attitude! read more

Flowers are of poor quality. I filed a compliant. They then called the person to whom I had the flowers delivered and yelled at the recipient. You would be better off using another florist. read more

I ordered sympathy flowers through Teleflora which were fulfilled by DG flowers. I paid for the "premium" version of the arrangement which is the highest upgrade from the standard arrangement. My mother in law sent me a picture of what she received and it was extremely small, had cheap flower substitutes, and the filler flowers were wilted and falling over. I emailed Telefora with pictures, and DG flowers ended up calling me directly (Teleflora told me they are not supposed to do this). The man told me over the phone that they would replace the flowers if I would have the recipient meet him to do an exchange. I said I did not want to inconvenience her like that as these were sympathy flowers and that if he just wanted to leave flowers with no vase at her house, that would be fine. He immediately berated me and told me that I did not pay enough for a better arrangement and that I got the quality I deserved (he claimed I paid $45 when I paid $70). When I explained I paid what Teleflora posted on their website for the premium version, and that if he didn't think the price was fair that's his issue with Teleflora, he continued to argue, tell me I didn't deserve better, and then hung up on me. I will never ever order from DG flowers. This guy seems to be the owner or manager and he is extremely rude and a downright crook. read more
