I really can't comment on the quality of their work as it won't show up until later, but he did spend a lot of time trying to sell me additional services, advising me that it would be $149 additional if I didn't sign up for it right away. He reminded me of a used car salesman. I ran into a friend who was familiar with them and he had a similar opinion. I would not hire them again. PS I could have done the work they did in about an hour if I was 20 years younger. It cost almost $400.

I contacted them using their webform, and unfortunately,.. before reading other reviews regarding this fee that they charge and ended up passing on using them when they contacted me. There's many other excellent electricians in the area that won't charge you a penny to come by and with no obligations to use them. That's the way we ended up going and we'll still have the excellence of service at a very competitive price. I'm sure Lloyd's is a great company and this review is not suggesting otherwise, but, do you want to spend $149 to end up not even using them? Lloyd's might consider a new policy for 2025, ..."your $149 estimate fee will be credited to your work", in-other-words, if you went with using Lloyd's, they would credit you that $149 back. Sadly, that is not their policy. Yet.

For three nights running, her hard-wired smoke detectors had woken her up at two or three a.m. She had changed every battery, tried every reset, but nothing worked. "Do you know a good electrician?" she asked, slurring her words. I knew just the guy. I have never used Alex's services directly, but we have talked about his work and clients extensively, and he clearly knows his stuff, plus he is super responsive and responsible. So I zapped Alex a quick email, telling him a friend had an electrical emergency of sorts. Within five minutes he was on the phone with her, setting up a house call that afternoon. Turns out her detectors were all expired, so Alex quickly changed them up and my friend finally got a good night's sleep. And she has been gushing about his prompt, attentive, professional service every since. A-plus, Alex!
