After speaking to the seamstress and describing our desires IN DETAIL, she advised she could fix the beading. I also asked to add skin toned mesh to the bust of the dress for modesty. I specified that if it could not be done or if she could not find the material that it is fine and it could be left as is. All we needed was the beading since the dress fit perfectly and Asked to add the skin colored mesh but we thought why not hem it too since it was offered. This part was offered and not requested but I did accept. I called a 3 days after the pick up date and the dress wasn't ready so I asked when it would be and then they said a few hours. Seemed strange but we were excited. When we picked up the dress, the beading was never touched at all. The bust was patched with a square piece from the bottom of the dress. The dress still had a slight smell (prior to dropping off the smell was stronger because it was stored for years which is why it needed to be cleaned). On top of that, the dress and HAD STAINS THAT WERE NOT THERE BEFORE. My daughter was heartbroken and disappointed. The owner reduced our bill from 87 to 40 but I'm upset that I paid anything being that they ruined the dress, stained it, didn't clean it thoroughly , hemed it incorrectly, added the wrong material to the bust and didn't touch the beading which was the entire point of bring the dress in. We came out WORSE by bringing the dress in than we would have if we didn't bring it at all. I ended up LOSING AND EXTRA 100 dollars after bringing it to another dry cleaner and another seamstress. Not to mention this added weeks of trouble. Thank God I am a planner and started 6 weeks in advance of prom or we'd be out of luck. Things are too expense to pay 2 and 3x for the same service. After telling the story to a few people I realized they had the same issue with the same place. Sorry for the long post but I felt it was my duty to warn others.

However, unlike most other laundrettes, Classic City is still cash only, yet there's an ATM at the ready, and you can even get a bottle of laundry detergent, fabric softener or bleach for a few dollars to save a trip since the vending machine ones only go so far. Also, a number of washing machines and dryers have been out of order for a period, yet it depends on the time of day or week as to how busy it could be. A mainstay local business right in the heart of Eastwood. When I can, I'll bring in some larger loads in building site bin bags, knowing there's a place close to home that's value for money for my washing needs.

The staff seemed nice (one attendant held the door for me when I entered with my basket, which I was grateful for.) I went early in the morning on a Friday, and there were lots of free machines. I felt secure leaving my load and running around to do errands while my cycles ran. A 15 year old girl helped us who was brand new and seemed to know absolutely nothing. When she asked me about how I'd like my wedding dress to be cleaned, I told her I wanted it to be boxed and preserved. She never told me anything about pre-paying, how long it would take, or if I had to pick it up or be delivered to me. A couple days later, I get a call from Fibiso asking for my credit card info to pay for the boxed wedding gown. The lady on the phone just informed me at the time that I had to pre-pay for this service and did not apologize for not letting me know before hand. Later that week, I went to go pick up my new dresses and there is only 1 dress (my reception dress) ready. When I asked where my wedding gown was, the lady looked in her computer, couldn't find it, then asked if I had it boxed and preserved. I said yes, and she said, "Oh call my boss tomorrow, she will know where it is." Not only is that ridiculously unprofessional, but YOU GUYS SCREWED UP , so why in the world am I calling your boss to find my dress? I called the boss, the next morning who then told me to call their headquarters to verify if they got my dress. AGAIN WHY AM I CALLING YOUR BOSS TO FIND MY DRESS. Nonetheless, because of my own labor, I found my wedding dress that they lost initially. None of the salesladies apologized for misplacing my dressing nor initiated calling their own bosses to figure out where my dress was. I do not blame the 15 year old for helping us, but if she is brand new, she should not be working the front desk alone if she does not know what she is doing. This goes for any job. Good location right off Erie Blvd, and you could probably run errands in between cycles. Parking lot is a little narrow but plenty of spots. There were some benches outside which was a nice touch, especially on a day with gorgeous weather! I do have to say that seating seemed pretty limited inside, so that would be a downside if you planned to hang out long. There are a ton of washers and dryers. Loved that the washers took cards, as I was running low on quarters and cash. Dryers do still require quarters, however. Machines are big. There are some vending machines, and crane/arcade machines, and I even spotted a community book shelf, so it looks like they care about making folks comfortable. I did feel like for the size of the laundromat and the number of machines, there was limited folding table space and they could probably use more metal carts. However, if you need somewhere to wash your clothes, this is a really solid option. I hope that someday soon I'll have the option to do laundry in my own building again, but until that happens I'll add this place to my rotation.
