Church Of Scientology - Scientologists will try hard to sell you this 66-year old book for more than £17. Please, read some review online first. It's incoherent.

Good times ;-)) I actually read "Dianetics" by L Ron Hubbard after someone lent me a copy. As a student of psychology, I thought it was rubbish. However, it's also a very pervy book. Below is a direct quote from page 336 of the book, and I have uploaded a picture of that page from an actual copy of "Dianetics" to go along with this review. "The seven-year-old who shudders because a man kisses her is not computing; she is reacting to an engram since at seven she should see nothing wrong in a kiss, not even a passionate one. There must have been an earlier experience, possibly pre-natal, which made kissing men very bad." L Ron Hubbard, the founder of Scientology, wrote this in a book which Scientologists still sell to the public. It's there in black and white and it's very, very, very, creepy :-((( Hubbard also has an obsession with attempted abortions, and believed that things that the foetus 'heard' during these attempts could negatively affect them in later life (he called this an 'engram'). Don't get involved with these people. Ever.

I suggested revisions and the Church of Scientology Plymouth has now become a 'Spiritual Shop'. That's nearer the truth. Every service that they offer has a price in the form of a 'fixed donation'. Their initial services cost more than £30 for a two-week course, but prices rapidly escalate. This behaviour is certainly more characteristic of a shop than a Church.

Church Of Scientology - A lot of their income comes from selling books inc "Battlefield Earth" a novel by founder L Ron Hubbard and one of the world's worse films.

Church Of Scientology - If Scientology likes you, you may be invited to join the 'Sea Org', dress up in a pseudo-naval uniform and work for them for very low pay.
