Walked by here the other day and was pretty curious, since I'm always looking for the next good burger in town, and might have found it.
The inside is kind of small and a bit dark, and you could walk right by the restaurant and not know it. It's got a cool atmosphere with an interesting mural on the wall and subtle green lighting and all of your favorite '90s alternative rock music. For food, they really only have one option for a burger, which is the "onion beerger". You can get it alone, with "rustic potatoes", or with chips ("crisps" for you Brits). The burger came on a toasted bun with cheese and onions and goiaba ketchup on the side. I have to say I was really impressed - this burger packs a lot of flavor, the onion is an excellent addition and not overpowering. Wish I knew what kind of seasoning they used on the meat, because I'd like to use it at home. I have to say I was very impressed and the burger is much better than other places in Rio, definitely ranked in the top 3. They also have a large beer menu, although the prices are a bit steep for some of them (R$36 for a 600 ml Solerun IPA).
I would have given this review 4 or 5 stars except that they need to work on the cleanliness. Fruit flies appeared shortly after my beer arrived, and then a fly. This could be because they are keeping the front door open, but I don't know. I used the restroom to wash my hands and frankly it smelled very bad and also had flies.
The service was great and everyone there was friendly, the food is excellent, they just need to clean it up a bit. This place has a lot of potential. read more
