Purchased our first German Shepherd from DMGSD almost 3 years ago. Out in middle of the desert, they have a large K9 kennel with multiple generations of dogs on site. We choose a beautiful little girl who grew up to be our favorite pet ever. Her father was Jake and I can't recall her mom. She is a beautiful red with some tan, black, and silver mixed in. She is intelligent, playful, and a great gentle playmate of her tiny Chihuahua brother.. She is a great family pet who looks intimidating but tail wagging gives her away as a sweetie. Loves water and balls! Considering purchasing another male puppy to add to the pack. Would definitely use Desert Mountain again. read more

The dogs at Desert Mountain are great and a true reflection of the care they take of their pups. We got TJ (father - zeus von tanner mother - bailey vom vera) just 2 years ago and plan to get his brother in the spring. Imagine, in AZ the warmest state in the country and these breeders have a fantastic set up with constant flowing water and shaded areas to lay and play. read more

We searched a lot before coming to Desert Mountain for a puppy. After making a visit, we were sure this was the best breeder. We got Hazel and we couldn't be happier. She is a joy and so very smart. read more

We purchased not just one but 3 German Shepherds from this breeder with the understanding that they had an exceptional blood line. Considering what we paid for each of them we where under the impression that is what we where getting. To our dismay and the fact that I work for a Veterinary office we found out otherwise. Two of the dogs have hip dysphasia at the young age of 8 months old and will need surgery at some point and the other one has elbow dysphasia at the young age of 11 months. This is a very painful thing for them to live with. Also 2 of the dogs where cryprorchid which means that only one of the testicles dropped which means for a more expensive neutering surgery. The sad thing is that all of these things are hereditary through the breed line which means they are a very very poor German Shepherd breeder. I would never consider using them again. Shame on you, German Shepherds are an amazing breed and what you are doing to these amazing animals is awful. read more
