I am in the trades in San Francisco so I knew their pricing (under $12K) was in line at under $400 per square (roofer's term for a 10' x 10' area) for removal of old roof, and preparation, and installation of new 30-year rated composite shingles. Another vendor was exactly $400 per square. However (FYI), Semper Solaris' bid was $733 per square ( at $22K, almost twice others bids!) My reason for posting this review was that Fernando and his team deserved 5 stars. My dad said they laid tarps over the entire area outside on the day of demolition and the job site area was meticulously cleaned of all removed old roof material at the end of the demolition workday. Then Fernando, the owner, was really good about communicating by text with pictures regarding a couple of areas that needed some plywood roof decking replacement. All this extra carpentry work was at a per piece installed price per our original contract so no hidden land mind surprises in pricing. The finished roof looks great. My dad could not be happier.
