When we checked in, the reception bar sitting area was jammed with people. This made for a fun atmosphere. There is also a restaurant area where you can order food. The kitchen is open 24/7 which makes it very convenient for travelers, and a breakfast buffet starts at 4 am which was perfect for us since we had a 6:30 am in flight. The room was comfortable and clean. The only downside was the heat and ac were not working. It felt like a window had been left open. Literally like an icebox. The manager was very helpful. She immediately came up to help, checked us into another room, helped us carry our things to the new room and even told us to call again if there were more problems. I wish this type of service was offered everywhere.

It's also the same distance to the Express train that takes you into London just under an hour. Check in was quick and smooth. For being Diamond Members, we received a coupon for a free drink or snack at the bar next to check in. Our room was 117- an accessible room. It's spacious with a pullout couch. Sadly, the AC wasn't the strongest and the room itself is a little run down. The breakfast buffet is great! There's juice, coffee, waffles, pastries, toast, meats, yogurt, cereal, eggs, beans, mushrooms, and more!

I lost a solid gold VERY SENTIMENTAL bracelet in my sleep the one night I stayed there for a layover and must have called upwards of 30 times to ask housekeeping to look for it before cleaning our room. Each time I was sent to housekeeping or reception who never ONCE answered and ended up just hanging up the line after waiting long enough. I went as far as to send two emails, with absolutely NO response other than from a customer support rep asking for someone to please respond to me already. Again it's been days. I made the mistake of telling them it was an extremely important solid gold bracelet and at this point I assume they stole it since they haven't said a word. I'd like to add that after having major surgery in another country, I used raddison as a layover refuge to avoid blood clots. I got in at 11;30 pm and they didn't have ANY convenience store or snack bar. They very rudely told me to walk back to the airport if I wanted food, which I did, and then upon coming back realized there was no refrigerator. Terrible hotel.

Excellent hotel all around…read more We missed our flight home and decided to stay here one night so we could be as close as possible to the airport for our flight the next evening. We booked a family room. The room we received was two connected rooms which couldn't have been more perfect for my family. We had two large beds, two big bathrooms and a nice sitting area with chairs and a couch. The room was clean and had everything we could need. We also took advantage of the indoor heated pool, sauna and steam room. The pool was perfect for my kids to enjoy their last evening in the UK. Sunday morning the pool doesn't open until 11:30 am because they offer private swim lessons. We also ordered room service here. Food was ok but pricey (as expected). For dinner we didn't feel like leaving the hotel so we ate at their steakhouse which was excellent. Service was great, food was delicious and prices were fairly reasonable. Being that traffic from Central London to Stansted Airport can be insane, I would absolutely stay at this hotel again before a flight. I wouldn't stay here otherwise just because there isn't a whole lot to do in the immediate area. When we checked out we were able to walk right to the terminal via a covered walkway.

The atmosphere in the pub is old english pub with a 5-star feel. The staff is small town best friend feel, and they take great care of you. Problem is you better make reservations early, as it is tough to get a room here. And at 99 GBP a night, why stay at a Hilton in Cambridge for 2x+ the priI know I am just making it tougher on myself for future reservations, but I really write these reviews for myself so I don't forget where I need to bring my wife! So if your not my wife you can stop reading now. I ordered the menu starter of potato skins and fish and chips. Wow! The potato skins were almost a meal in itself, but since it was part of the 2 course 12.95 GBP menu, who is arguing? The fish and chips was just as big...uh oh! But amazing to the last bite! So all in all, the hotel and restaurant are worth your time!!

Alas, our overall experience did not live up to expectations this time. A number of things on the menu were not available, even though we were there on a Sunday at noon, when you would think that restaurants typically anticipate a good crowd. My husband had the roast beef, which he said was ok, but nothing special. I ordered the Caesar salad and was extremely disappointed. The chicken on it was a bit dry and there was not a noticeable enough presence of Parmesan cheese. Also, the dressing was a bit insipid and the croutons, which looked to be fried, tasted stale, as if they were left over from the night before. And most importantly: the desserts. The main reason we came back was because of the amazing desserts on offering two years ago. There used to be an enormous selection of delectable looking English style cakes and tarts, but now there are a lot more continental types of desserts on the menu, like chocolate fondant and a raspberry mousse. (I had the fondant, which was OK, but nothing to the honeycomb cheesecake I had a couple years ago.) The menu promised a selection of cheesecakes, but there were absolutely none available according to our waiter. On the plus side, the wait staff was attentive and responsive. Our waiter Tom was very charming and full of humor. The food was plated up in a lovely manner. The decor of the restaurant is excellent, with great attention paid to detail. We loved all the mismatched old farm tables and seating, and we were particularly impressed by a table tucked into the old Inglenook. To cut a long story short, I don't think we will be back, despite the good service and attractive decoration.
