The lack of communication is abominable. I had to reschedule an appointment. The phones were not…read moreworking in their office on Friday. I called Monday around 9 am and left a message asking for someone to return the call. By 3 pm, no one had called me back. I did the waiting game on hold as 'all representatives are helping other patients ' for 12 plus minutes. I finally had a live person answer and was able to cancel the appointment. I was told someone would call me back to reschedule. That hasn't happened. Second, my 3 month check up on an intervention done by one of their doctors in November still has not happened. I've had another procedure since and no one even asked about the previous procedure. I was referred to Iowa Heart for a procedure to help with the circulation in my legs. That hasn't even been addressed!!! I'm checking with my insurance to find a more communicative and caring surgeon.

Today was my first time getting a cortisone shot at this facility. When I was on the table they…read morepulled my pants down and left me there with no cover while they finished getting ready. It was degrading and humiliating. The Dr just asks if you have questions before he starts. The shot itself was quick and easy, then the Dr walks out. It's like cattle being hearded through. I'm unimpressed. My previous Dr was much more personal and discreet. I would still be seeing him, but he left to work at the VA.

It was a very unpleasant experience. Iowa Ortho in general is not great. Trying to book or change an appointment is ridiculous and I keep just getting passed from doctor to doctor with no positive results
