Office Experience: -Got bone x-ray day of order. -3 separate calls needed to schedule a CT Scan. Appointment was for 4 days later. Upon arrival I was informed this was a STAT order. -Spoke with same phone contact each time. 1st: cranky but got her to laugh. Said she'd call me back with prior authorization despite doctors's order. Never did. -Second time I called she scolded me to bring my insurance card with me. (Vs informing me politely) -Third call 2 days later got appoint for Thursday. "Be prepared to pay $320!!!". Very rude, loud and cranky. Completed all electronic paperwork and uploaded with my insurance card in advance per appointment confirmation text. Arrival: -no charge for procedure (contrary to the mean phone person) -Asked for my insurance card again despite already uploading. (Company policy) -made me fill out previously submitted paperwork AGAIN because their system on retains the first page and also never stores your height and date. "It's a system issue we've had for months". -only after the appointment did they inform me it was an emergency STAT order and I should have been seen Monday when I had the bone x-ray vs waiting 3 1/2 days. Medically, this is a top notch place with top notch care. I've been going there for several years. However, it's ironic how medical facilities require patients to complete a code of conduct agreement annually yet they allow their clerical staff to be rude and borderline abusive to their patients. read more

Had an ultrasound in January. Check-in was seamless and efficient in Bedford once you get to the office (however the building is confusing and organized strangely so go a little early to navigate). The technician saw me promptly and was professional and courteous. No complaints here. Making an appt on the phone had been challenging because they are switching their systems so calls are taking longer understandably. Had an issue with an order not having been received by Derry Imaging though I had them send it twice. I called yesterday and spoke with a delightful woman named Rene. She couldn't find the order either but apologized and said it was probably a system issue and if I could contact my doctor to have them send it one more time but to her attention. She said she'd call me back once she got it and make my appt. Rene did just that. She got my order. Called me back. Made my appt and did it with such friendliness courtesy and genuine regard for me. THIS is customer service. Old-fashioned 'let me help you out let me see what I can do for you' customer service. THANK YOU RENE for going above and beyond the entire time. She was just so nice about everything and it's so rare to encounter that nowadays. Give this woman a raise because trust me, she's a rare gem! read more

I hope the quality of imaging is worth it! I haven't even had my first appointment yet and I am ready to go make an appointment else where. I am now in need of annual breast MRI's and this was one of a very short list of providers that was covered by my insurance. When I called to schedule, I was told the location I wanted to go to, Bedford, did not do breast MRI's and I would have to go to Londonderry. I was given zero pre-appointment information other than to confirm the date/time and location of my appointment. 2 days before my appointment, i received a call telling me the equipment in Londonderry was broken and they needed to reschedule me for Bedford. When I questioned the location in light of what I had previously been told, the person calling seemed annoyed with me. He then went on to tell me they do them in Bedford but the equipment isn't as good. So I then asked him for more clarification regarding the appointment to understand the differences. He once again became annoyed. I finally had to say, "this is my health and I would like to have the information so I would be able to make the best decisions possible for my own health and wellbeing." That finally seemed to do the trick and the person slowed down and willingly answered my questions. Ultimately, I rescheduled for Bedford. Then the person gave me several instructions like don't wear lotion or deodorant, information I had not previously been given. This was my first breast MRI, so important info to be aware of! I continued to receive text reminders about the original appointment, then the day before the original appointment, I received a call to reschedule it as though the first call I had received never happened. She then told me I had no other appointment on the books. So I told her the date/time that had been confirmed the day prior. She then said oh, yeah, you have an appointment. But she then told me a different arrival time than the person the day before. When I questioned it, she got snarky with me saying "it is only a 5 minute difference." I guess their time is more valuable than mine! Hopefully their imaging techs/doctors are far better than their administration team! read more

Derry Imaging used to do my yearly mammogram, until they committed insurance fraud. I had my yearly mammogram, the tech was not thorough and because of their incompetence I was called in for another scan. This extra scan should have been covered under my yearly but they coded it incorrectly and would not change it. After a collection agent tried to collect another $400.00 from me and I refused to pay it, that agent told me to call my insurance and explain the situation. And when I explained it to my health insurance they told me they would pay it if Derry Imaging would change the code. I called Derry imaging multiple times and they refused to change the code. Had they simply changed the code, my insurance would have been paid. Never going to them again! Be careful! Stand up for your rights! read more

I'm not sure if I mentioned the botched service i I have ahead several injections well I had one done there same meds same everything this time I felt uncomfortable and I said it after the injection my shoulder was in agony it swelled up so bad couldn't move it ! I called them and they wouldn't help just said go to er I did it took a week for shoulder to return to normal a week out of work $250 co pay for er and derry imaging took there money too ! I called and complained they brushed me off ignored me and called me a liar recently I was back there the nurse man tried confronting me about it and tried to do another injection not ordered by me or my dr office !!! She was rude just asking a few simple questions upon registering to receive an MRI. If your job is that torturous for you, go to college and obtain another profession. Simple off this unwarranted interaction and (not to mention their expensive and FORCE YOU TO PAY SAME DAY or you won't be seen, there was no prior notice of this)--$900 down the drain for simple imaging--we'll be going elsewhere. My fiancé had an appointment where he was told to fast all day. Once he arrived at his appointment they told him they did not have a someone there to do his test. They rescheduled his appointment to Saturday where again he had to fast all day. We arrived at the appointment and the office was closed. This is absolutely unacceptable. Total lack of competency. I'm surprised to see any negative reviews. I've gone to Derry Imaging for the last year and always have had a great experience. For most procedures you can schedule your appointment in advance. Every time I've arrived early, I've been taken back right away. Convenient hours and location, especially if you are a patient at Derry Medical Center. They are more affordable than most imaging centers. They also take Care Credit if needed. read more

Let start by saying the tech that did my CT calcium count was outstanding! That's it! The receptionist Bedford was rude and unfriendly. I could deal with that because that seems to be the standard lately and that is her personal problem.....But, the scheduling department was totally incompetent. She was snappy and rude. I checked with my insurance first to see if they covered this scan and they did. So when I called to schedule the scan they told me I would have to pay the fee of $250 upfront even though they have contract with my insurance company and is in network. I questioned that and told them I would call my insurance again and get back to them. My insurance company called them and asked them to submit the claim but they would not. So, my insurance company said for me to pay and they asked Derry imaging to send them an authorization number. Then my insurance company would reimburse me for the scan. Well....they never sent the authorization number!! I am now appealing the denial of payment to reimburse me! I called the office to speak with an office manager and had to leave a message. Still haven't heard back. Not a surprise!! I will never set foot in Derry Imaging again!! I will also never recommend it to anyone either! They are unprofessional and don't care about their patients! read more

I had to have some imaging done last Friday. The staff at Derry imaging was so accommodating to my scheduling needs that I was able to have multiple tests done for my initial visit in early September, on one quick visit. And then,when additional tests were required, again they went beyond to accommodate my crazy schedule. But more than the scheduling staff, the technicians,the nursing staff, and the radiologist were comforting and helpful through a long day at their very modern facilty. Now the results are back, all is good, thankfully. But they have reached out multiple times throughout the week to check on me and my well being. I feel like I can trust Derry imaging with myself and my family when exceptional care is needed. Big Thank You To all of you there. read more

I had an arthrogram and a ct scan of my shoulder on Tuesday, 3/23/2021. I obtained the two disks for my surgeon in Boston promptly after the procedures. When I had my appt with my surgeon friday, 3/26/2021, upon checking in with them, I was told they did not have the reports. I called Derry Imaging from the waiting room to request them to be faxed immediately. I then gave the receptionist my two disks to upload for my surgeon and she said they couldn't be uploaded, but only readable. After my appt with the surgeon, I called Derry Imaging and told them I needed two disks to be uploaded and I would pick them up and mail them to my Boston surgeon. Today, Saturday, I realize that the CT Scan report only was faxed to my surgeon's office. I just got off the phone with one of the girls at Derry Imaging and asked if there was a report for the Arthrogram. She said YES! I asked why it wasn't faxed to my surgeon with the CT Report. No explanation, but she said she would do it "now". I also requested a copy of the report and was told they cannot release medical records. According to the NH statutes related to health information, "medical information in a health care provider's medical records is the property of the patient. In turn, the patient is entitled to a copy of the record upon request". I will be reminding them of the NH Statute and go forward if they fail to release my medical records. I would not recommend Derry Imaging. read more

I recently went to Derry Imaging in Derry, NH for the first time. I had a couple of mammograms and an ultrasound, which then required a biopsy. Not only was I impressed by this state-of-the-art facility, but I absolutely loved the service I received! Everyone was exceptional! They were professional, jovial and compassionate. I was nervous before the biopsy, but they made me feel so comfortable and relaxed. I would highly recommend this facility! They are top notch! read more

I just called to schedule an appointment and unfortunately the receptionist on the other end of the line who responded that her name was Melissa when asked. This is a commercial service provider for making MRI's, CT scans, PET scans, X-rays etc. One can elect to use them and tell one's doctor to do so, with the major benefit of speed vs the slow hospital, and much lower cost, which means you use up less of your insurance cap and you also are loved more by your insurer, so they are more helpful then. I liked them initially with my first two visits for efficiency, low cost and speed. However, I started to have doubts if they were really that well organized when my wife came to make an appointment and, after she had done all paper work was asked to come back later for some valid reason and when she came no one knew about her case because the initial rep had not transferred the case properly and had left for the day.. Worse came when, after fasting, I arrived there for an urgent MRI which I had an appointment for. After being called in they discovered they had not read the order of the GP right and could not do the procedure then because they were not prepared for the extra work and investigation involved. That was work that should have been done pre-appointment. I do not mind someone making a mistake, I do mind someone not working on fixing it. They made zero effort to fix the problem and left me to my own devices with something so critical for my health that it could not afford long delays. The only thing they did is tell that I could make an appointment for a week later. Note that I also noticed an old lady erroneously heading for the MRI room and the staff could not say right away where she really belonged. Derry Imaging does not have a patient file or treatment schedule attached or near the patient. So it is very disorganized and because of that prone to mistakes. This company needs to get its processes under control. They are not selling sandwiches, but expensive health critical services, with costly consequences to patients if not done right, but it seems they are not well aware of that. read more

They have extra fees that they do not disclose. I was waiting to have my MRI and then all the sudden they ask me to sign a form saying that there will be a separate radiologist fee. I inquire as to how much it is, and no one can tell me and no one can explain why i was never told about this fee. I would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the Diagnostic Imaging Staff and the Derry Imaging Staff for their excellent service. Although I am not thrilled that I was diagnosed with breast cancer, I am forever grateful that it was detected early. I have been receiving mammograms since I was in my forties at Derry Imaging. I have always received timely reminders, I received excellent mammogram images, and the radiologist provided spot on reads. The team of technicians and nurses and doctor provide a safe and secure biopsy experience. I have yet had an issue with billing. The system seems to be working as it should. The team should be very proud of the operation at Derry Imaging. A special shout out to Dr. Mary Ellen Brooks, Dr. O'Brien, Dr. Grant, Renee, Angie, Debbie H and Carol. OMG ONLY if you HAVE TO go there, then you MUST but only the truly destitute and desperate will- Since you are probably going here because you have no insurance, you are well aware of the $1000 you are doling out- and what do you get for that? Abrupt, brusque, snappish staff who are slamming you through a tiny hole in their system. Enjoy this: the forms they require you fill out prior to MRI? They have been copied and copied and copied. I have excellent eyesight and I was seeing double trying to fill in the forms. Guarantee you that BEFORE you are done filling out their CRAP forms (which make reference to What Staff Should Say to You... WTH?) they will DEMAND you "follow Them" so you can sit in another room with none of your belongings. WORSE THAN A BAD AIRLINE FLIGHT IN THE WORST SEAT BY THE BATHROOM IN THE BACK WITH A 2 HOUR DELAY AND A SCREAMING CHILD INFRONT OF YOU. read more

My daughter has had more than 10 MRIs at this location, I have had xrays and an MRI and this place is WONDERFUL. I needed copies of the MRI results and within 2 hours had a disc ready for me to pick up. I have never had to wait more than 10 minutes and they have late hours so you can get an appointment after work. I would definitely recommend. read more

In the past I have had a very good experience with Derry Imaging. However, similar to another review, they did not make it overly clear that there would be a 2nd Radiology bill. I was told to bring over $670 to my appointment for payment. Now I receive a bill for $178 for Radiology. I can understand this procedure in an ER, but not in what seems and is sold as a cohesive medical facility. As this has been a problem in the past, I would think they would have addressed this lack of or hidden billing snafu. Very disappointed in the outcome of this procedure. Maybe the personnel should explain this on the phone and at the appointment. read more

I was very disappointed. What a dump. Dirty bathrooms. Mismanaged, Unorganized. I spent 2 hours and 45 minutes for a 25 minute test. They did not tell me that contrast injections cause severe dizziness. They sent me through the system like a herd of cattle. They would not do the test the Dr ordered. They said I had to do more. MRA with and without contrast and an additional MRA with out contrast. totaling over $2600. An MRA with contrast only is about $600. I feel screwed. read more

In early 2019, switched to Derry Imaging as a service provider based on recommendation from many. Biggest mistake I ever made! I've had multiple mammograms, so wasn't my first rodeo! Initially impressed by the minimal number of images taken over my previous provider... I thought that was due to upgraded equipment! I was called back because of an unclear area, and was recommended for an ultrasound. I asked if they looked at my prior records; because I had already had an ultrasound for the area described; they (Derry Radiologist) concurred another ultrasound was not necessary; but offered me to come in for another mammogram. Concerned for my health, but knowing I would potentially pay out of pocket; I was assured that if my results came back clear; I would not be charged. Results of 2nd mammogram came back clear. When I received the bill I was told I was mistaken; no one claimed to remember making such a statement, they further agreed I should not be charged. Their answer was to send me to credit collections! SO WORD TO THE WISE - STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM DERRY IMAGING unless you want to pay for unnecessary testing, and / or poor quality results read more

Downgrading my previous review because I've learned from my new doctor at Dartmouth Hitchcock that Derry Imaging MISLABELED my mammograms a few years ago!! In addition, thanks to their inexpert core biopsy procedure they did on me, I have two noticeable scars where they FAILED to stitch me after roughly prodding my breasts for an hour because the doctor was subpar. The two scars are also still tender 6 months later. Compare this my other biopsy procedure (done by a doctor in Cambridge) which lasted 15 minutes and left NO scar. Derry Imaging botched the job. The service at Derry Imaging Center with the actually tests that I was having done was awesome. All the way around. Until it came to the billing for the part that did not get paid by my insurance. That amount was $500.00 and I was allowed to make monthly payment equal to one year or it would go into collections. I paid once 32 days late because I was laid off for 5 weeks and told them that ahead of time, then I tried to make up by sending extra the next payment. Then I went 15 days overdue with one of the next due payments and got a nasty threatening letter threatening to drop me as a patient and put me in collections if I do not respond within 15 days. I am a customer for the past 25+ years!! Maybe they have too much business??? I think not. I thing someone in that billing dept needs an attitude adjustment or needs to find another job where they have no contact whatsoever with the public. Thats what I think. For the 25 + years I have been using them I think I deserve much better treatment when Im a little late on a balance of $325.00. read more

Hi, I had to get a biopsy at Derry Imaging. I was so nervous, I need to say the nurses that were with me, Absolutly calm me down and made me laugh. They gave me so much information about the procedure and were extremely caring and considerate. I definetly recomend Derry Imaging. I recently had my first appointment at Derry imaging and upon arriving there is a sign - please wait. I was the only person in the waiting room and the young woman at the desk didn't have the common courtesy to acknowledge me with a nod or something as simple as I'll be right with you... I finally get called into the MRI room and the technician doing the scan seemed like she was having a difficult day (not a happy camper). During my scan she accuses me of moving and I tried to tell her I wasn't moving but of course- I'm the patient so I must be wrong. I believe if she had been having a better day she might have been more inclined to investigate the issue - ( maybe the hardware they use needs to be checked- bad or broken clips). At the end of my scan I requested the report and while I was reading it the technician mentions in the report to the doctor that I was told to stop moving - really - I tried to tell her I wasn't moving but like I said I'm the one paying for the services so I must be wrong. I will never go back to Derry imaging; unfortunately, my doctor's office is right upstairs and it just seemed to be so convenient. read more

BEWARE IF YOU ARE HAVING MAMMOGRAMS here. Seems they have a tendency to order biopsies often. Radiologist told me years ago I needed a breast biopsy. Went to a breast surgeon at Elliott Breast Ctr. who said he thought it was not necessary, that it was just the angle of the view. The radiologist at Derry Imagining insisted I should have it done so I went for it not wanting to take any chances. Biopsy was fine. Now they do breast biopsies at Derry Imaging and I believe the number of biopsies suggested is probably higher. I had a followup mammogram for calcifications. They again recommended biopsies in two areas. I was told I needed it by the tech, while I was sitting in the little mammo waiting area while another patient was getting changed. Isn't that a HIPPA violation. When the woman went into have her mammogram they both starting laughing. I imagine it was because the patient going into having a mammogram didn't really want to start with the patient before her being referred for a biopsy. Flash forward to biopsy day. They wanted me to wear a eye mask. I didn't want to do that and that became a bit of an issue. The radiologist performs the biopsies. First he hits a blood vessel and blood is all over the place and I have a hematoma (pocket of blood). The radiologist finishes and the same tech, again, starts complaining about having to clean up all the blood. I have to stay now because they try to stop the bleeding and see if the hematoma shrinks. They tell me don't worry, it will be absorbed into your body. While I'm laying there I talk about how I researched treatment if the biopsy comes back cancerous. The tech snaps that her best friend died from exactly what they were testing me for two years ago. Ok. Not what I think you should tell a patient, but she obviously has some boundary problems. After I leave with a very painful, swollen and incredibly bruised breast (that took 6 months to heal), I get a call from the Radioligist later that day. I know from previous experience that no news is good news so this is frightening. The Dr. says, in an effort to give you full disclosure I biopsied the wrong spot on one area!!!! He says "I don't think you need to have it redone, I looked at the films again and I think it's fine".......What!!! Then why did I need it in the first place. They had me set up with a breast surgeon who tells me, no I think you need to have it redone, but we have to wait until the swelling and bruising goes down. I decided to get another opinion and I went back to Elliott Breast Ctr. where I went years ago. They didn't believe a second biopsy was necessary, but I should follow up in 6 months. I stayed with Elliott and in 6 months they did the biopsy and afterwards the radiologist sat down with me on the spot and said they thought everything was ok. I should have a follow up mammo and if it hasn't changed I'm good. read more

Derry imaging saved my life! I went for a routine mammogram, and because of the very skilled tech a cancer, growing deep and close to the chest wall was found. A biopsy was ordered. It was in a difficult location to get to, but the dr, nurses and techs could not have been more caring and supportive to me. Prior to surgery I required an MRI and an ultra sound. I was very nervous, praying nothing additional would be found. Both MRI and ultrasound techs were patient and understanding of my fears. Throughout all of these procedures, everyone took time to explain, answer ever question I had, and even hold my hand when things were hard. Every appointment was made in a timely manner, and when I arrived I was not kept waiting. I have gone to Derry imaging for many years, and I took those routine appointments for granted. Every day I am thankful for the knowledgeable, kind and compassionate people at Derry imaging. I was alive to dance at my daughters wedding last year and will welcome my first grandchild soon. There will never ever be adequate words to thank them...how do you properly thank someone for life? read more
