Probably because I just like talking to Derrick like a therapist almost and I don't want any animosity or weirdness. But I gotta tell my truth. So Derrick is a really chill guy to talk to. Like a friend who has good advice. Can he predict the future? I don't really think so. He predicted I'd join the healthcare field and it's been about two years and I'm not in it. I've really contemplated it and actually registered for classes but something felt so off that I backed out. It didn't feel right to me at all and I'll be honest, maybe my astrology sign (assuming he was going off that??) says I should help/nurture people but I'm just not that type of person. I don't want to wipe poop off people or deal with mean sick folks. So I'm still up in the air about what the heck my life career is suppose to be. As for my relationship, he said my boyfriend was loyal and totally 100% committed to me and would never want the relationship to end. It would be me that wanted it to end. But we ended up breaking up because he fell out of love with me and was delaying the process. His attitude towards me changed and I was the one still in love by the end of it. I ended up dating a guy...who said while he liked me and thought my face was pretty, I was too fat and his lack of attraction was a big factor in not wanting to continue. So I don't even know about that. He also said I'd find a best friend in my next job but I never found that friend. Still a loner. Probably my fault though since I have a hard time letting people in. Anyways that's my review. I'd still recommend Derrick because you get to talk through your issues and he provides a comforting view on it. I am reviewing Derrick in response to those who gave him a 1 star for cancelling due to family emergency ! Those ratings should not be aloud by yelp because it is not a review on his work , it is a personal butt hurt because someone didn't like being asked to reschedule and Derrick is a human who also has a personal life with unexpected issues arise and that should never be a reason to give a person a bad review ! Now if Derrick cancelled on you continuously and it happens more than once then yes that is a good reason to give a buisness a bad rating but to only be cancelled once and giving a 2 hour advanced notice is more than professional in my eyes and yelp should review each review and those that aren't credible should not be posted and 1 time cancellation is not credible! Now for those who review under a false name and account should also not be creditable and not posted , heck when the person given review states they are using a false account , location and name the evidence that a review is being given under false context is right there lol ! Also those who live life through a reading and do things according to what is predicted in your reading is not the way it should work ! A reading is to give you perspective and emotional clarity but things won't seem right or feel right if you force things to happen before they should so yes you will think his reading is wrong because things are meant to happen when the stars line up so let life happen when it suppose to not before then , when you interfere in the greater good it throws off the balance so after getting a reading put it away and visit it after sone time goes by and see what has come true but then put it away and let another couple years go by but things don't happen in your time they happen when they should interfering with destiny changes the outcome of things so go about your life the way you did before reading and don't wait for things to happen or look for them or you will be the reason why things don't happen or do because you changed the course ! I waited 5months to write this review so I know if Derrick's predictions were accurate. It's sad to say, to me, none of his predictions come true. Some things he told me happened the opposite way, and he didn't tell me something happened last month last truly hurt me emotionally. I didn't feel he was truly connected to me when he kept telling me that I need to communicate more with my bf (now the ex) as the only reason he tells me to communicate more is because I told him that I don't feel like my bf likes to have an open conversation with me. Derrick also told me that my ex has never been married (he was married before), and he has nothing to hide from me, he just doesn't know how to communicate (turned out my ex had something major that had been hiding from me that I found out last month). I was also told that I will be moving in September or October, but turned out I already moved in July. The reason I moved is because my old apt was broken into. I would expect a psycho to tell me something big, like my apt will be broking into, when I'm seeing him. But Derrick didn't mention it at all. I'm very disappointed that none of Derricks predictions came true. I was so excited to work with him given so many good reviews about his reading. I'm not going to lie, when I originally scheduled my appointment with Derrick, I expected this to be a total scam. I felt torn on whether or not to risk losing the money, but I decided to go for it since you can't put a price on peace of mind. I figured since he had such wonderful Yelp reviews and was also the most fairly priced, if anyone would truly have this gift it would be Derrick. Needless to say, I was completely blown away. Without telling him anything, he knew exactly who I wanted to connect with, and began to deliver messages from the other side. I was very close to my maternal grandfather, and I was able to connect with him and settle lingering questions I had about his death. Derrick was able to confirm that I was indeed connecting with my grandfather by repeating an inside joke I'd always had with my Poppop and also gave me messages for other family members that I was able to deliver...and they were very grateful for that! I really can't say thank you enough. Not only was I able to connect with my Poppop, but my paternal grandfather also came through and gave me a message for my dad. So I think waiting a while before leaving a review truly shows just how crazy accurate these messages Derrick relayed to me - were. As a person already into spirit messages and tarot, I can confirm many of the messages Derrick gave to me in August ring true today. He also connected with my mom and dad who passed on for a few moments, which was really special to me, and I had a lot of things confirmed from the connections with them.
