It's a modern establishment, with indoors and outdoors seating, both of which are really nicely designed. If you chose to sit outside, however, you'll be sitting right next to the heavily traveled high street, overlooking the newly built roundabout. So as much as I'd liked to sit outside, I seldom do, as it's just too loud for a relaxed conversation over breakfast. The food, namely "Brötchen" (bread rolls), bread, and lots of pastries, is actually really nice, but absolutely overpriced. They also offer proper breakfast, which is okay, but could be a lot better (especially considering the price). Last but not least (and definitely most important) - the coffee! It's drinkable, but even my filter machine at home makes better coffee...Definitely not worth a try! I usually end up drinking tea...me...tea! I think that says it all... A couple of years ago, there were only 3-4 large chains on the bakery market, but nowadays you have a hard time finding anything else... The small family run bakeries are more or less forced to join up and build a chain together to compete with the large names like Kamps, Beck etc. Which really impacts the quality and taste of the product! While I like the "brötchen" (rolls) at this place, most of the other stuff is very basic and bland, the sweet stuff is too sugary and the coffee is very "meh". They have inside and outside seating, but sadly this place is located right on a roundabout with heavy traffic.. So sitting outside makes conversation rather loud! Oh and it's bloody expensive! They've increased their prices by around 40-50% since opening, which makes them even pricier than the large chains! Insane, right?

A drive-through for bread and rolls is something I've not seen before to be honest! I love the whole idea and the location on the main street is great too. The majority of people coming here, are those that are on their way to work to the nearby towns of Herzogenaurach or Erlangen. And those few people who actually live here, are also most likely to chose one of the two bakeries on the main street. Hot chocolate...WHITE Hot chocolate!!!…read more Whenever I'm in town, this is the place where I meet with my girls - just to sit here for hours and drink coffee, have some snacks, and relax! The location is good, directly opposite from the bus station in Herzogenaurach, at the edge of the town center. The food is decent, it's basically your typical bakery, where you get a range of snacks from bread rolls and bread for your breakfast at home to delicious bagels and cakes, which you can, of course, also eat in the café itself. The coffee is pretty okay, but it's the white chocolate here that I can't get enough of (me drinking something other than coffee...that does not happen often)! It is really comfortable, as I said, we usually spend hours at a time in here! Two of the walls are made entirely from glass, meaning it is always warm and light inside, and there's a lovely seating area outside, if you can ignore the buses constantly driving past! Bottom line: * great place to sit and chat for hours * your usual bakery (and café) snacks * try the hot chocolate...the white one! =)

The sandwiches along with various soups (especially tomato soup) is a good option for quick for lunch. They also offer various salads. The prices are normal. Some years back I even ordered some cakes for a small office party. Everything was perfectly made. Highly recommended place.
