After a couple visits we hadn't accomplished much and I ended up going to a Physical Therapist. I'm so glad I did. They ended up finding 2 dislocated ribs and 3 vertebrae out of alignment that weren't addressed at Denver Chiropractic. I'm pretty sure the Chiro here doesn't do much, he just seems to put everyone on the same regimen of electrotherapy, moving table, stretching. read more

I can't say enough good things about Denver Chiropractic! I had a "freak" accident with my jaw and was in tremendous pain. I had previously been to another chiropractor for other issues, but felt I was getting diminishing returns and still in a lot of pain so didn't want to return to that practice. I called Denver Chiropractic and was able to obtain an appointment the next day where I met with Dr. Nichole Geary. Honestly, she has changed my life! Upon entering the clinic, I was very impressed with the professionalism of the entire office from the front desk staff, the Medical Assistants and just the feel of the entire clinic. Dr. Geary explained in great detail what she was going to do and how she would treat my various issues. She made sure I understood the procedures and really listened to my complaints about the pain. I have been going to Denver Chiropractic for a couple of years now and recently started working with Dr. Rider. I had injured my back after a bad massage and was having excruciating pain in my upper back. The pain was making it impossible to sit down for more than 15-20 mins. Dr Rider worked with me over the last couple of months using ART (active release techniques), graston, flexion-distraction, and decompression. I went to Dr. Rider with the worst back pain I've ever had and was immediately impressed with his thoroughness, knowledge, and bedside manner. He explained my diagnosis and treatment options and left me feeling educated enough to make informed choices about my treatment. More importantly, he paid close attention to my symptoms and complaints and adjusted treatment as we went along to be as beneficial as possible. Well I'll start by saying that Dr Artichoker has literally changed my life. I was very nervous my first time ever getting adjusted but I stretched and popped my back for years and I'm not a professional so why not let a pro do it. I've had back pain for 2 decades, been to a few other chiropractors, get massages regularly, use heating pads, yoga (which helps but only for a short time), different excercises, you name it and it always would come back. When I first started going I was asked on a scale of 1-100 what is my range of motion and I estimated it to be around a 20. I couldn't sit, stand, cough or lay down comfortably. Getting up in the mornings REALLY sucked. As of today, 11/7/19 I am at about an 80 out of 100 and haven't felt this good in a decade! I see him 1 time a week and receive electrodes with a heating pad on the specific area, a massage from the Dr. with a machine that everyone should experience if they have any sort of pain (its AMAZING), and then once I'm all relaxed I get adjusted. I cannot recommend Laura Graber at Denver Chiropractic enough to pregnant mamas who are experiencing joint or alignment pain. Starting at about 28 weeks pregnant, I was experiencing significant pain from a rib slightly out of place, which was being exacerbated by my rapidly growing baby. My online research kept pointing me toward prenatal chiropractic treatments to help alleviate the pain. I had never been to a chiropractor before, so was admittedly a bit nervous, but came across a few online reviews for Denver Chiropractic/Laura Graber that had actually been posted by friends and acquaintances, so I went ahead and booked an appointment. During my first visit, Dr. Graber made me feel very welcome and comfortable. She asked great questions about the acute rib pain I was experiencing, and also some questions about other areas of pain common to pregnant women (hips, SI joint, back, etc). After a brief but thorough examination of my ribs and overall alignment, she discussed some potential options for treatment, and we got to work. Dr. Graber was very helpful in guiding me into the correct positions and making me feel relaxed so that she could most effectively do her work (in my case - a combination of heat therapy, massager, and traditional chiropractic adjustments). I have been seeing her for several weeks now (starting at twice a week for a few weeks, and now just once per week), and have experienced tremendous relief in my sore rib, as well as my hips and back which had also been giving me some minor troubles. I feel so great after each appointment and eagerly look forward to the next one. This third trimester has been more or less pain-free for me, and I truly have Dr. Graber to thank for that! I had a pretty bad mountain bike wreck where I bruised my intercostal muscles which then caused awful back pain. Dr. Artichocker did an amazing job at helping me along in the recovery process and got me back on my bike less than 3 weeks after the wreck. I went into this experience doubting chiropractic care and being scared to try it. Because I was experiencing so much lower back pain, I decided to try it. I received treatment here a couple of times from Dr. Trent Artichoker for back & hip pain I've been experiencing due to my changing, growing pregnant body. I really liked Dr. Artichoker who used several techniques to help alleviate my pain. He also recommended I try a latex bed since I felt my current bed was causing the majority of my problems, so my husband and I bought a latex bed the next week and my pain immediately went away. My main complaint has nothing to do with Dr. Artichoker's service because I really did like him and thought he was extremely professional and knowledgeable. My problem is with Denver Chiropractic's billing practices. I have insurance with a zero copay, however the clinic always made me pay them $45. $45 may not be a lot for some of you but I would have gone in for treatment weekly if I didn't have to pay this fee every single visit. What makes this situation more frustrating is they wouldn't document that I paid $45 when they billed my insurance company so I wouldn't get reimbursed back the money I paid. I was forced to call Denver Chiropractic about the $45 and they told me I had a credit on my account for my next visit. How is this legal? They were just holding onto my money, without prior notification or my authorization. I demanded a refunded because I will never go back due to their shady business practices. It's a shame too because I really did like Dr. Trent Artichoker. read more

I've been visiting Denver Chiropractic as a patient of Dr. Artichoker since 2010. Prior to that I visited other chiropractors. I must say, I like Denver Chiropractic best. Other chiropractors I've been to have been very sales oriented. Buy this, pay thousands for large treatment programs, go to this class, supplements, cleanses, etc.. etc... At Denver Chiropractic, you won't get this. It is completely professional with no pressure to buy, buy, buy. The payment for visits is great too. Since most insurance plans will not pay for chiropractic, it's nice to be able to afford out of pocket. The first Monday of every month is "Maintenance Monday" and only costs $25. All other days it's $35. If you need to go often, then you can buy packages to make the per-visit cost lower. However, unless you're in a ton-of chronic pain they won't pressure you to come. My previous chiropractor required that I come in 2-3 times a week. With Dr. Artichoker I go once, or twice a month, sometimes less. Honestly, I haven't gone all that much this year since for the most part, I've felt great. Last year I made a habit to go at least one per month. At that time I was pregnant, and chiropractic really helped. It provided me with more energy, reduced any pregnancy related back-pain, and most importantly, contributed to turning a breach baby. My mid-wife suggested that I have Webster Technique Adjustments throughout my 3rd trimester. If you're looking for a good chiropractor in North Denver, then stop by Denver Chiropractor. Their schedule is more than accommodating. They're even open on Saturdays! My mother-in-law was visiting us from out-of-town and fell down our basement stairs. She started getting terrible neck-spasms and we called Denver Chiropractic to make an appointment. It was a Saturday, and they had never seen her as a patient. We told them the situation and they scheduled us with Dr. Shupe that morning. He checked her nerves, felt her back and neck, and applied some gentle therapies to get the spasms to stop. It helped greatly, and she was able to enjoy the rest of her vacation. If you've been skeptical to try chiropractic, forget what you've heard, and try Denver Chiropractic. They really are not like most salesmen chiropractors. They're caring, and educated doctors. They won't hurt you, or make your condition worse, and they won't sell you on therapies. JUST GO! I was having back and neck problems since I was a teenager. Three years ago it became more painful than usual and very frequently I would not be able to turn my head without pain. That is when I first decided to try Denver Chiropractic, and my treatments helped a lot. As time passed, some of the issues with the upper back slowly returned but I didn't address them timely. A small unfortunate incident caused another issue with my lower back and finally forced me to make an appointment. This time I saw Dr. Laura Graber. Dr. Graber is very attentive and careful. I am amazed that after only two weeks of treatments that included adjustments, massage and acupuncture, I feel better than in many years. I have had chronic back, neck, and shoulder pain for many years and have seen my share of chiropractors. After moving to Colorado from Chicago, I had to, unfortunately, find a new doctor. After a failed attempt with a wacko in Westminster, I found Dr. Artichoker at Denver Chiropractic. I was a tad skeptical on my first visit when the doctor did not do an x-ray (as I had always had one done before on a first visit to a chiropractor), but I thought I'd give them a shot anyway. I am so happy I did. Dr. Artichoker really listened to all that I had to say and planned out treatment with me. I have now been going to Denver Chiropractic for 3 1/2 months. I started out at 3 times a week, because my pain was so bad, but am now down to once every 3 weeks. I have never had that much improvement that quickly with any doctors I have seen in the past. Because of some last minute reschedules I had to do, I have now seen all 3 doctors (Dr. Artichoker, Dr. Downing, and Dr. Shupe) at Denver Chiropractic. They are all wonderful! I was surprised that I had the same level of comfort and confidence with all of them. I am now regularly seeing Dr. Downing, as her schedule works best with mine. She is fantastic. Their office staff is also super sweet and friendly. They caught a glitch with my insurance, that would have cost me a bunch of money, and worked through it with me. They always remember you and really make sure you are comfortable. The cost is very reasonable. I was able to use my insurance until I used up my benefits for the year and then pay out of pocket for subsequent visits. It is $35 without insurance per follow up visit ($45 without insurance for the first visit). After being involved in a car accident I came to Denver Chiropractic for treatment. They helped me through the whole medical process by referring me to a PI lawyer as well as a doctor and a physical therapists. I am so grateful to now be 100% pain free, having had acute and debilitating lower back pain for five years. I have been bedridden more than a handful of times from pain for days on end. I finally came to my end and decided to see a chiropractor and see why Dr. Artichoker was rated #1 as a Denver Chiropractor. I live in Castle Rock, about an hour south of his office, but I was so fed up with pain, I didn't care about a longer drive. I have seen Dr. Artichoker weekly and bi-weekly for a couple of months and then for the last two months I have seen him more irregularly as my pain lessened drastically, now to a point of zero back pain. For me (and my wife) this is a miracle, I couldn't go on a walk, hike, run, often cook, and ride a bike without stiffening up and sometimes being knocked to the ground out of excruciating pain. I have seen other chiropractors and I would say that Dr. Artichoker's thoroughness, kindness, and honesty is unmatched and helped me go a long way towards being pain-free. Also, I like the staff in the office, always friendly and smiling. Unless you have had bad back pain it may be difficult to understand how much life changes when you are pain-free and how important it is that you have a doctor that is not only good at adjusting your back, but encouraging you in your diet, your movement patterns, and your own core/strengthening exercises. Dr. Artichoker is not a know-it-all; you can clearly tell he that he is a life-long student of the body and while also being incredibly knowledgeable wants to join you on the learning journey of your body. As a web developer and designer I am sitting for most of my day and I got much more serious about how much my sitting was affecting my back when he told me at one point that it was crucial that I switched to a standing desk for a significant portion of my work day. I know that suggestion has helped strengthen my back, perhaps more than anything else. Dr. Artichoker supported me with knowledge and has helped keep me accountable on my overall pattern of diet, core-strengthening, high-quality supplements. To me it seems Dr. Artichoker's "Chiropractic Eyes" are trained to look holistically for solutions linking to my back pain, for example he caught that my right hip was really tight and after some therapeutic work from him and homework on my end that hip tightness and pain is gone. Though I can't track by back pain to only one cause, I believe that hip weakness and tight muscle was contributing to the back pain. I have a masters degree in one field and my friends joke with me that I have a masters in the back from all of my studying. I am certain of it now that if we want to get to the root of our pain we need to become knowledgeable about our bodies and find people who are smarter than us to support in your self-training. Dr. Artichoker has been another important voice to affirm to me that often back pain can be alleviated with dedicated self-care because back pain typically comes from holistic living and the decisions we make including our diet, posture patterns and strength of our core and body in general. In other words, the excruciating back pain I was feeling could be majorly be helped if I did my own share of eating a clean diet, core strengthening exercises. So even with all of my knowledge I found I still needed a doctor that knew more than me and could guide me in my decisions, look for triggers to my back pain that I couldn't identify and especially help me to make sure my form was correct in my core exercises -- this is key. I will keep going as long as possible to stay on a maintenance level and now am psyched to move beyond a place of pain to performance. read more

I went today for the first time and can't recommend this business enough. The service is professional, fast, efficient, thorough, and better than any previous chiropractor or massage therapist I have ever been to, no exceptions. I thought I misheard the price-per-visit at first, figuring there had to be a "hundred" in front of the given number. But no, with an abysmally low-paying job I can afford to make regular visits and have routine adjustments that feel amazing. Yay! I almost didn't want to write the review because if more people find out about this, he'll be able to expand exponentially and move into a beautiful chiropractic mansion and then the charges would go up because of all the new overhead that comes along with being the Hugh Hefner of Chiro. But truth is, he'd deserve it, because his service was above and beyond any expectations I had. So the actual procedure is pretty standard at first, with lots of questions so he can figure out the problem and potential causes of the pain. I assume different problems require different treatments, but for my severe neck pain he first located the pain and then used heat and stim pads to warm up the areas before making the adjustments. A high-powered massage immediately followed and I am very glad I do NOT own that massaging system because I would abuse that thing every second of every day and probably injure myself. Then came a series of adjustments and immediately afterwards my pain was temporarily completely gone, which was exactly what I desperately craved. While it might take a few more sessions to get rid of it completely, if this first visit was any indication then it'll be well worth the excellent price. I was just starting my third trimester and was experiencing the most excruciating back pain (lower right mid back). I was even having a hard time getting a full breath. I've been going to chiropractors all of my life due to back issues. The past chiropractors I've visited have been great however for the price i felt as though i was getting a little shorted (i.e. $40 for a 10 to 15 minute visit). I had just grown use to that and figured it was the industry norm until I was fortunate enough to find Denver Chiropractic and Dr. Artichoker. He really takes an interest in his patients ailments and resolving their problems. On top of that, each treatment gets you roughly 40 minutes of attention, whether it's 15 minutes of electrotherapy followed by 10 to 15 minutes of massage and then your needed adjustments, or Graston Technique and cold laser therapy and then adjustments. It's amazing the amount of time he puts in on each patient for a modest $35 a session. I had been suffering from paralyzing tendinitis in my left elbow from high stress rock climbing my whole life. It never would go away; any time i'd go climbing it would flare up and i couldn't even hold a soda can. I figured i was done climbing but decided I'd consult Dr. Artichoker before giving up. Within 3 weeks i was back climbing pain free, it was such an amazing feeling! My back muscles were completely spasmed and I was hardly able to stand up straight I was in constant pain and my muscles were so tight Dr Brown was unable to do much. I was in some pretty significant pain when I called and made an appointment with Dr. Artichoker. He was able to meet with me that day, and I experienced my first professional adjustment. After about 15 minutes of some electro stimulation in my lower back, Dr. Artichoker came in and folded me like a pretzel. WOW. My back made noises I didn't think were possible, and it felt amazing. On a scale of 1-10, 10 being most painful, I was at about a 6 the day of my appointment, and left at about a 3. After my second visit just 4 days later I feel totally healed.
