I'm a new patient to this location, and at first I went in for a consultation for braces, the next day I went in for a cleaning and got Sheena. She was AWESOME. I was so nervous going in because it's been a while for me and Sheena made me feel completely comfortable and at ease. She was patient and knew exactly what to do!! I also like the facility! this was the worst experience Ive had in my entire life at at Dentist office. Dr Tyler Brown is an unexperienced. dentist playing in peoples mouth. I went there for a simple filling that fell out in less than a year went back oh now you need a crown which i dont even think i needed. Started that process he messed up my tooth never got the crown because they could never get the bite right or the temp for that matter. I have been a customer for YEARSSSS on YEARSSSSS and I thought I loved this place... until I didn't. My last experience with them was very uneasy, unexpected, and unpleasant. I recently received my own insurance, they swore up and down I didn't have insurance and kept billing my father instead of having direct contact with me... One lady even even tried to tell me she called my own insurance company and asked about me and they told her I didn't have it. JUST LYING STRAIGHT THROUGH THEM TEETH. Dr. Tyler Brown extracted a tooth without showing me an x ray 2/3/26. Once confronted he wouldn't admit to his wrongs and told me "sorry you feel that way" and doubled down on his lie of showing me an x ray. The last time I saw an x ray was months before the appointment. I can remember what was on the news in the office yet I can't recall him ever showing me an x ray on his computer. The quality of care that I receive from Dent1st is unmatched!! Coming here has most definitely eased a lot of my dentist anxiety because they make everything so simple and pain free. I saw Miss Lisa today for my cleaning and she was very nice and informative on showing me techniques on flossing. She complemented me on my overall teeth health on multiple occasions during and after the cleaning making me feel confident that I am doing what's right as far as my dental health is concerned! This office gets 1 star because everyone i met was very nice and welcoming, which made me come back a second time. My second appointment i came ready to pay whatever i needed--along with using Sunbit. Sunbit approved me during the first appointment but not the second? I was thinking about why this work wasn't done before my appointment but i kept working with the team to figure it out. After a hour and a half into my appointment, were doing back and forth calls and i am unable to get the care i needed/SCHEDULED FOR! I put a $100 deposit down on the appointment, and they were unable to give the money back to me as fast as they took it. I want to thank Regina and Dr Brown for being so nice and caring to me. But Brittany, please lets be more diligent with insurance and paying for your next patients to come.I wasn't able to get the care i needed because of something that could've been done the first appointment. PATIENTS BEWARE!!!! THEY ARE LIARS - WILL SAY SERVICES ARE COVERED BY INSURANCE AND WILL BILL YOU LATER FOR SERVICES!! IF YOU HAVE TIME READ MY STORY. A month prior to my scheduled appointment, I sent my x-rays from my previous dentist. Plus I gave my dental insurance information for verification of coverage for service. First I had to call to confirm my appointment. Second upon arrival the tech immediately set me up for x-rays. I informed her that they had x-rays from my previous dentist and I did not require anymore. She stated that "no problem, these are covered by your insurance" I asked her once again was she certain and she said "yes". I consented to the x-rays. Within 30 days I received a bill for $187 for comprehensive Radiograph - the same service the tech said was covered by my insurance. It is not so much the money but the LIE! If she had told the truth then I could have made another decision. Instead they chose to lie to make money. I scheduled an appointment for additional work which was estimated to be $1200. Needless to say I cancelled that appointment!! I am certain they said $1200 and would bill me later for a much larger amount. I have been a patient of DentFirst for over 10 years and have always received good care - until today. I had a root canal performed on 10/21/19. Since then, I have had persistent infection in this tooth. This has resulted in needing several rounds of antibiotics, the last being a prescription that completed in early December. Last night I awoke to steady, throbbing pain. The tooth is also very sensitive, which seems odd given the root canal. So being a Sunday, I called the DentFirst on-call line around 12:30pm. I got no call back, but an hour later I received a text inquiring as to the nature of my emergency. I supplied a detailed response, describing history, doctors seen, drugs prescribed, my full name, DOB, account number - and concluded by letting DentFirst know I was in a great deal of pain. Four hours later, I received a text saying to make an appointment on Monday. My advice: DentFirst is fine for routine cleanings and run of the mill filling of cavities. However, do not go to DentFirst with the expectation that you can receive care in an emergency situation. You will not. read more

This is the location that I normally go to. I had a rough experience with the location in Kennesaw. This location is very quiet and easier to get to ,now that the construction is done on the roads. The parking area is a tight squeeze however. I like this location because they have the waiting area looking very welcoming and there's an open view to see out. The employees are always speaking to you,especially after you've been more than once. If you have an appointment you have a good chance to be seen earlier than your appointment on most occasions and they will call to let you know. No worries,you don't have to go to the earlier one but it's a choice. read more

I have been coming here for years now and I have to say this office sucks! They have a huge employee turn around. There is always someone new, hardly ever see the same employee. The billing department stinks. If it wasn't for Mrs Lisa, I would transfer offices. Their appointment cancellation needs to be changed. My appointment was cancelled due to no confirmation on my end, but that was because I'm at work and cannot access my phone during work. Unfortunately, my dentist of 13 years quit taking my insurance. Hate that health related services are dictated by insurance but that's another review. I went through the provider network looking for a dentist close to my work for convenience sake. My dentist had her own practice but it seems that is not the norm. Everything I was finding that was in the areas I was looking for were chain practices. Since I only needed a cleaning, I decided to book with Dent 1st and take it from there. From the moment I made my appointment, to leaving the practice after my cleaning, I was impressed by the level of customer service. Really great staff! My hygienist's name was Molly and she was very professional and thorough. I will say I wasn't overly impressed with the dentist's, who checked my teeth after the cleaning, personality but I was told you won't always get the same dentist and if there is a particular one you want or don't want, just tell the receptionist when making your appointment. I also found the office to be very clean and aesthetically pleasing. Overall, I was satisfied with the dental service received. Let's hope I continue to have a positive experience if I need more than a routine cleaning. read more

DO NOT SOLICIT THEIR BUSINESS...I went to the Smyrna office and they are the worst!!!! The dentist drilled unnecessarily two of my teeth and filled 2 cavities that fell out within a month. The billing department is beyond incompetent.....I called to check on the status of my bill because I had not heard anything from them and I was advised that my bill was still pending with the insurance company. Then I started getting emails stating that they did not have the correct address on file for me. I responded to the email advising of my correct address. The next week I got another email stating that mail sent to me was being returned due to incorrect address. I again responded to the email advising of my correct address. This same cycle continued to repeat itself for about 5 to 7 cycles of emails. They kept saying they did not have my correct mailing address and I responded giving them my mailing address. I had to get real loud in my email responses advising they were some of the biggest idiots I had ever seen. Then the billing department manager called me and she was straight ignorant...talking over me and loud talking me. I advised that I did not know why they kept sending me the same emails over and over. She told me again that my bill was pending due to insurance processing. The next week I got an email stating my bill was going to be sent to collections because they did not have my correct mailing address......People, I can not make this stuff up.....I had to call again and give them the business. Finally the bill was mailed to me and they added interest to the bill that they said was pending due to insurance processing.....Can you believe this!!!!! I called and told them that I would not be paying any interest....The interest was removed. I paid my bill. I ran and never looked back. read more

Average service that is hit or miss. I have had work done that was very subpar and other work done that I was very happy with. I think a lot of graduates start here so you could get someone that is not very skilled. I just prefer to go to a family dentist thats been in the game for a while. Here you get the a draw. People don't stay long and you can get someone different each visit. I don't prefer that. In addition, their billing system is wacky. I had someone put down a wrong code for services that would have charged me hundreds more. Luckily, the person who checked me out recapped services & thats how it was discovered. She confirmed it was wrong but there was no apology. Happened twice. Always ask, when checking out, for a recap of services. POSITIVES: appointments are plenty so you can usually get in quickly and they don't have you waiting for long after checking in. Staff is nice. Clean establishment. I went to DentFirst in Smyrna for a cleaning. I was skeptical about going, because it was not through a referral, but just because it was convenient. I couldn't have been more impressed. I have had dental cleanings before, but Kim, the dental hygienist gave me the best dental cleaning I have ever had ever. She truly was excellent. She spent the time necessary to really and truly clean my teeth. Previous dental cleanings I have had have been a rushed job. This most definitely was not. I told her that I was going to have my husband come in too and wanted her to be the one to clean his teeth. I just made an appointment for him. I highly recommend this place for dental cleaning. The Dentist that came to talk to me after the cleaning, was very courteous and professional. read more

I went today with good expectations and I was so dissapoiment, I make appoiment for clean teeth they make xrays + examination they said I need deep clean with perio so I said let's do it today. NOT do you need make other appoiment and pay again, give me estimate ( we can't kniw how much will be ) Plus they wanted charge me Full price without regular clean! So that was not Fair, the receptionist try sale me a plan for more money and do not care if that will not work for me, she just care about the money and do not help find a way for what is more convenient for me, she call the manager and he do not know how explain they do not have other way, because they want everybody pay $299 for X-ray and clean teeth, even if you do not will use, they want sale the plan. I ask how much is just X-ray and examination and they wanted charge me almost the full price, also said me two different prices. Finally I ask for less because feel like the take advance to me without insurance and ask for my X-ray he said you will receive for your email, still I am waiting.
